Nice one mate!! You simply cannot beat Jeff and co for expert service on a 300zx; what Jeff and Jamie don't know about these cars isn't worth knowing I reckon!! Richard:chef:

Congrats on the new addition Gary!! That looks a stunning ZX; and whilst I love your black one, I reckon red is still the best colour for a 300zx..... Good lick with the new car matey!! Richard:thumbup1:

4 x 4 anyone?
Seems a good buy Jane - and looks a hell of a lot of car for £895. As long as there's no rust and it's been properly serviced, it should be fine. If you have any Merc related questions, ask PaulC - he's a technician at a Merc dealers!! Richard:chef:

real ales
Me neither - I still prefer them from the fridge, slightly chilled! Richard:thumbup1:

4 x 4 anyone?
Cheers Jane....! I did have one of the first shape Rav-4s a few years back and that was bullet proof! They can be bought quite cheeply now, so I'd recommend one. Richard:cool3:

4 x 4 anyone?
Hi Jane, It depends on whether you want a "real" 4x4 or just a "soft roader." If it's just for normal everyday road driving; but with the added capability of dealing with ice and snow, then the Rav-4 is a decent choice! It drives like a car most of the time, handles well if driven "enthusiastically" and the 2 litre 16v petrol can still 30mpg+ under normal driving. Plus 0-60 is only 10.5 or so as well. We're onto our 3rd one now - I bought Julia this fully loaded 2006 (last of the old shape) XT3 last month. I quite like driving it myself...... .....plus they are extremely reliable as well:yes: Richard:chef:

Could I please ask the membership to welcome Vodkashots back to the Super Moderation Team. Ian proved himself to be a good moderator previously so I'm sure he will be a welcome addition to the team once again. Well done Ian - and good luck in your new role! Good luck with the sale Martin - it's a hell of an experience being there for the auction! I remember attending with my dad as a child when he had some Georgian porcelain items on sale.... Richard:thumbup1:

Winter coming........Car cover?
Personally I've not heard too many good things about car covers. In fact long term, there's the problem of them trapping moisture underneath and causing rust issues (eventually) anyway. So you may as well just leave it outside!! Also I've heard that the effects of the wind can cause the covers/tensioners to move and the resulting rubbing may scratch or scuff the paintwork..... However I have seen something called a "carcoon" at classic car shows though - basically it's an inflatable cocoon type thing that the car sits safely inside. Try "Googling" it........ Richard:chef:
