  1. Agreed - it's about time that our cars started to get the recognotion they deserve; and this is a step in the right direction. It also gives us hope that tidy rust-free examples should command more.... Richard:yes:
  2. LOL - didn't we say that on Saturday mate!! Richard:innocent:
  3. LOL - sad but true mate!! I am on there though; by default as a girl I work with set me up an account a couple of years back. I have no pics on my profile and searching for "Richard Smith" will yield 10,000,000 results - LOL.... .....although fellow Zedders may be able to find me, by some of the friends I have.....:winkiss: Richard:tt2:
  4. I have to agree..... .....I have had 4 daily drivers since relegating my ZX to a weekend/holiday toy 6 years back. Even when I did decide to sell my ZX I had to buy another; as nothing else really hit the spot. Except maybe a Porsche 928 GT - but at 2-3 times the price of a nice 300zx for a good one, it wasn't worth it for a car that I may only drive 5k miles p/a. Especially not when a decent ZX will give me as much pleasure for so much less. Richard:chef:
  5. I want I want I want..... .....that is a superb late model example, I'd love that and would (in my dreams) buy it like a shot..... ....but Bri's right though; £25k is a tad too rich for me to keep as a "collector's item" and, I suspect, for many other enthusiasts as well...! Richard:cool3:
  6. Or clever........:tt2: Nice one Allan!! Richard:yes:
  7. Sorry to hear that Jane....:flowers: I'm sure you will make the right decision though; and I hope it works out for you. Richard:cool2:
  8. Looks like that was for the USA so I guess most of the cars sold will be autos......:flowers:
  9. Great to meet you as well Andy! And that's a lovely ZX you have there mate..... Richard:rockon:
  10. Many thanks to Jeff & the crew!! It was a superb day and I look forward to the summer barbie as well.........:cowboy: Richard:cool2:
  11. Good to meet you Ian - and Ian Junior! Your lad certainly loves his cars mate!!! Richard:cool2:
  12. LOL - very true Pete.... ....yet on my journey to Zedworld I did not see a single ZX; despite people travelling from all corners of the country....:confused1::whistling: Richard:cool3:
  13. I could not have put it better myself!! Jeff, Jamie, Lynda and family put on a great spread and really looked after us all day - many thanks indeed!! It was a really good day and they did the club proud! Richard:cool2:
  14. Strange but feasible I guess..... ....about 5 years ago I fired one of our sales reps. He kept his company car for his month's notice but when it was time to return it; I decided to make the trip up north myself to collect it. It was 2005 Passat 2.0 TDi 130 HiLine - I filled it with diesel as I left Darlington and drove it pretty fast back down south. Some 240 miles later and I had barely used 1/4 of a tank!! Richard:huh::blink:
  15. Looking good Allan - looking very good mate!! Richard:sorcerer:
  16. I reckon I must have missed you Alan; along with Daffy too - sorry guys! I did see Osty1 though; along with loads of others.... ....still; there's always next time! Richard:thumbup1:
  17. Could be Gary - I know they froze in the cold weather! I cleaned the car before Christmas and put it back in the garage. Then (after the -18 temps and snow) when I next took it out, I had to give it quite a bit of gas to get it moving..... .....Jamie has suggested steering rack bushes also; I'll make an apppointment with Zedworld to get it fixed! Richard:chef:
  18. Yup - t'was indeed a good gathering!! Big thanks to Jeff, Lynda, Jamie & co for hosting it too..... .....and I didn't arrive in a Z either.... Mine has just developed an irritating (and, strangely, intermittent) steering wheel wobble. I only made it one exit up the M40 and turned round, returned home and swapped cars. It was good to put some more faces to names and great to meet everyone! Richard:cool2:
  19. Many happy returns matey!! Richard:clap::thumbup:
  20. That's the clincher for me as well..... .....and I know the dealer in question!! I live about 8 miles from Wycombe......:innocent: Richard:biggrin:
  21. I'm leaving in 20 minutes..... .....should be there not long after 10!! Richard:cool2:
  22. a big fat zero in my road and a total of 31 in the area..... ....pretty pleased with that!! Richard:yes:
  23. I use VW diesels in my fleet at work - the Golf, Jetta or Passat with the 2.0 140ps TDi engine is pretty good and the cars are nicely built! Richard:biggrin:
  24. Many happy returns mate!! Richard:happybday:
  25. Happy birthday mate!! Richard:happybday:
