  1. Many happy returns mate!! Richard:thumbup:
  2. HAppy 40th mate - have a great day!! Richard:thumbup:
  3. Welcome to the club mate..... ......and good luck with your new purchase. Do get some pics up when you can!! Richard:thumbup:
  4. Amen Rich!!! My fave soundtrack too - and Highlander happens to be my all time favourite film as well:cool3: I even used the song "One Year of Love" (from the scene where Mcleod is in the bar ordering a Glenmorangie and he meets Brenda) for our first wedding dance....! Richard:sorcerer:
  5. Nice going Allan!! It's good to see the car coming together nicely mate - almost there and I bet you can't wait!! Richard:sorcerer:
  6. Many happy returns mate!! Richard:happybday:
  7. Happy birthday Mark!! Richard:happybday:
  8. I guess you are referring to me Jane.....! I do indeed remember the incident; such an embarassment to John Major's government at the time. LOL..... ......although my memory was perhaps a little hazy as I mistakenly thought it was a pair of tights - or that they were involved somewhere in the plot.....:oops: Those were the days though:tt2: - trouble is, it's still probably going on but those involved have no doubt exercised some kind of media embargo to protect the guilty!!! Richard:turned:
  9. That's fascinating Dave - thanks!! I'll send that to my dad - he loves things like that too...... Richard:sorcerer:
  10. Yup - what he said! Failing that you could do a lot worse than HIDs direct; they're also on Ebay but still have their own 'site.... http://www.hids-direct.co.uk They are UK based and from my experience their aftersales service is very good. I ordered an H4 kit for Julia's Rav but when I had issues installing it, they gave me a full refund with no question! Also they stock spare parts so you can get an immediate replacement if something does fail. Richard:thumbup1:
  11. Many happy returns mate!! Richard:rockon:
  12. There are plenty of insurers who do not charge such a premium for imports, regardless of your age - just shop around mate! That'd be my choice as well - £1500 less and a newer car to boot! Richard:biggrin:
  13. I agree with the above Rob. There comes a point where you have to say "enough" and put your money into a better car. Richard:chef:
  14. That's very bad news Jimmer - I've also seen some evidence of such "handiwork" and all I can say, is it's a good thing the car's owner has now brought his ZX to you mate. Richard:surrender:
  15. Cool - another new face! Look forward to meeting you Vic.... Richard:biggrin:
  16. That's probably because the FTO was never marketing here at all - unlike other Japanese inports like a 300zx or Soop. Consequently insurers will always consider it very expensive to replace parts if you have a prang..... ......Plus the fact that a lot of boy racers have bought FTOs as their prices have dropped..... But good luck with the Puma; hopefully it should not prove expensive for you and Marc to run! Richard:cool2:
  17. Generally I won't let anyone else drive my cars.... .....although Julia drove the ZX last year on some quiet country lanes. She did OK but it scared her a bit...... ......I offered her the chance to drive my new SLK recently (I thought it's more her size than the ZX) but she flatly refused. I'm sure she'd be OK but I guess she knows what I'd be like if she got even the tiniest scratch on it:w00t: Shame, as we're both insured on all the cars so she should be comfortable to drive them. Richard:balloon:
  18. Not sure if I can make it at the mo - but I hope so if there's a good turnout! Richard:rockon:
  19. Nice one mate - thanks for your continued support! I will sort your colour status back to REO..... Richard:cool3:
  20. You are indeed welcome yourself, good sir.....:winkiss:
  21. LOL - not really Jane; it's just that I'm at that in between age now...... ......too old to be a swinger and too young to be a dirty old man......:oops: Richard:innocent:
  22. Sigh - not another one.......:pinch: Veccy and Znut have really made a good point on this one, I reckon. Richard:yes:
  23. (Sigh) - yes......:whistling::smartass: Richard:cool3:
  24. LOL - I can't forget; it's more than my life is worth!! And you never know - miracles can happen so I might just get that slap from you yet......:tongue_smilie::lol: Richard:shuriken:
  25. ...I know - women never forget......:lol::surrender: Another time then, I guess.......:thumbup1:
