  1. I'd always use MJP for new parts - good, reliable service and he'll only sell good quality (tried & tested) replacement items as a substitute for OEM. Richard:cool2:
  2. Here here Dave!! The NHS is generally very good and, as a national institution, it must be kept alive. However it also has to change in order to maintain its primary goal - the treatment of patients. If those changes involve private investment in some areas; or the contracting out of other areas then, if it works in the best interests of the patients, it's a good thing. Also to reduce the burden on the NHS I believe that those who can actually AND easily afford private health insurance should be encouraged to do so; by reinstating tax relief on the premiums perhaps? That way, if someone with PHI is treated by the NHS, then the NHS can reclaim the cost from the insurer as opposed to government. Richard:cool2:
  3. Nice one Rob!! That's definitely a good price and one fine looking ZX mate..... ......if you're coming to Jeff's on Saturday I look forward to seeing it then!! Richard:thumbup:
  4. It's in the Mirror so it must be true.......:whistling:
  5. That's really come together nicely Allan - I'm very pleased for you mate!! Richard:thumbup:
  6. Happy birthday fella - I hope you have a good day mate!! Richard:thumbup:
  7. That's a good choice by the look of it Rob - good luck with the viewing mate! Where in Herts is it - and what time are you viewing? If you need a second opinion or just some moral support from another Zedder do let me know. I have a few errands to run first thing but I'll be free from around midday-ish mate..... Richard:cool3:
  8. Sorry to hear that Baz - I really hate it when you do all you can to ask a direct question and get dicked about..... That looked a tidy car from the pics as well - so I can understand your frustration. When I bought my blue Z from PhilP, he knew that I'd be travelling almost 500 miles on the round trip to view and collect - so he made sure to emphasize the bad points of the car in every e-mail and conversation we had; just so I wasn't disappointed or wasted my time in visiting. Needless to say in my case, Phil actually undersold the car; pointing out any negative issue no matter how minor - but there was fundamentally nothing wrong with it. I guess I was lucky to have dealt with an honest, sound guy. Keep hunting mate - there are some good ones out there; with honest and genuine sellers. Richard:cool2:
  9. LOL...... .......and You've no excuse now Jane either; since Marc has a new car to travel down in......:sailor: Richard:cool2:
  10. Another top tip Jeff!! Richard:rockon:
  11. The new Mini was a real success story unlike the new Beetle which is utter shite..... .....so, being a BMW, I'd reckon on them being fairly reliable. Although the newer cars do have Peugeot engines in some variants (which would put me right off). Richard:winkiss: PS I did the factory tour a couple of years ago - thoroughly interesting experience!!
  12. Don't ask me Veccy - I replied to the higher rate tax question..... Richard:innocent: PS back to the original question - if FASTREDZ needs any more info; please feel free to PM me (or anyone else who has offered to help).
  13. LOL - although I reckon there are quite a few more of us than you think mate.......:shifty:;) Richard:thumbup1:
  14. Yup - another one here......:sorcerer:
  15. Happy birthday mate!! Richard:rockon:
  16. Many happy returns Liam! Richard:rockon:
  17. Many happy returns Vinni - have a good one mate! Richard:cool2::rockon:
  18. Good to see you're busy Jeff..... ....and the new unit has plenty of parking by the looks of it as well!! See you next Saturday! Richard:yes:
  19. Some information from Companies House for you - and I'm not breaching any data protection laws here because a limited company's record filed at Companies House is available to the public upon request..... Zen Performance Ltd; company number 05081497 Registered on 23 Mar 2004. I won't post anymore though; but it is possible that, judging by the invoice date, the company was originally a non-incorporated body which became a limited company around the time that work was invoiced. Jeff's right about the VAT; however if Zen switched to a limited company it's possible that they were in the process of registering for VAT with the new company. Knowing they would be above the VAT threshhold as soon as they started trading, they would be accountable for VAT right away. In that instance it is legal to charge VAT during the process providing they state on the invoice something like "VAT registration in progress - VAT number to be advised" or the like...... To continue regarding your gear box - as Martin says, it was 7 years ago. And whilst you say it has not done many miles in that time, there is no mileage declared on that invoice. So who's word are you taking for that...? If the 'box is whining, might I suggest getting the car to Jeff's for a transmission oil change? That might be all it needs - especially if it hasn't been done since the rebuild. Richard:thumbup1:
  20. Many happy returns Murt, mate!! Richard:chef:
  21. Uk spec cars will specify all the details on the V5 as they would have been available from the first registration. Hence why your car is listed as a "300ZX TURBO AUTO" Whilst you've told your insurer that it is now a manual, I guess you should actually have declared it as a modification from its original form....... ....but for peace of mind, I'd inform the DVLA in writing anyway. That way you have done all you can and, in the event of a claim, no-one can say that you've misled or misinformed anyone. Insurers don't need another excuse to invalidate your cover if they can avoid a payout mate! Richard:thumbup1:
  22. Hi Keith, Welcome to the club mate!! Richard:thumbup1:
  23. Honestly - someone always has to go too far.........:beta1: ......Never thought it'd be a girly though; LOL:whistling: Richard:cowboy:
  24. Congratulations to you and your partner mate - I wish all 3 of you all the best! Richard:sorcerer:
  25. Me too.... .....bloody timewasters:cursing: Richard:crying:
