  1. Personally mate, I'd ask (very nicely) if someone closer could take a look for you. If they consider the car worth a punt then make the trip over yourself to see/collect in one visit. Richard:cool2:
  2. I agree totally - and they look crap on those cars as well!! Richard:yes:
  3. Looking good mate - I do like the Stillen lip!! Richard:thumbup:
  4. The IoW is a nice place to visit; although not really for blatting around in a ZX. Apart from the A3055 (Military Road) Graham mentions, The Island more suited to casual cruising and taking in the coastal views. It is good for ZX photography though - and owing to its size you can get round it reasonably quickly without having to hoof it everywhere! The ferry is expensive (if you take your car) for non residents though - a day return is about £40 but for a week you're looking at well over £90 now:oops: All in all it's a civilized "Old England" (at least for us tourists) and I try to visit once a year. I'm returning again this September if any Island Zedders are around BTW......... Richard:yes:
  5. Looking dead good Allan!! Richard:thumbup:
  6. Happy birthday buddy!! Richard:clap:
  7. The chances are that it won't Jane.... ....The current premuin difference between male/female drivers mostly only affects those under 25 (or perhaps 30 with some insurers). The news was carefully reported to avoid that issue!! Once you are over that age then there is very little difference in insurance premiums between the sexes. It's only because statistically men under 25 are more at risk of having accidents. I pay far less in car insurance than most women I know, and I have an expensive high performance car! Julia and I both insure our cars on an Admiral Multi Car policy and surprise surprise, my £30k SLK350 costs less (at £300 p/a) to insure than Julia's £8k Rav-4 2.0. Plus all of the women in my office (aged 30+) pay far more than me as well. Richard:yes:
  8. Hi Ady, let me know if you want to take advantage; and what you'd like to say in your "advert" then I'll sort it for you mate. Take a look in this section for the type of format we allow and drop me a line.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=132225 Richard:cool3:
  9. Many happy returns mate! Richard:thumbup:
  10. Happy birthday mate! Richard:thumbup:
  11. Hey Paul, A belated happy birthday to you mate!! Hope you had a great day and enjoyed Rome! It's a lovely city - I must return some time!! Richard:sorcerer:
  12. Yup - you've got it mate! Personally I wouldn't bother with just a front wheel tracking adjustment on any car, let alone a 300zx. If you're going to do it, do it properly and always have a full 4 wheel allignment check done! Richard:cool3:
  13. Hi and welcome! Richard:cool3:
  14. Hey Brian, Welcome to the club mate! Richard:thumbup:
  15. Hello Officer..... (not the first time I've said that - LOL)......Welcome to the club! Richard:thumbup:
  16. Hi Steph, welcome to the club! Good luck in your quest for the suspension arm too - I see the guys have already given you a few good leads on where to locate one. As asked already, where are you from? If you're not too far from Zedworld (in Coleshill, Birmingham) then you could do a lot worse than take your car to the 300zx gods! I have a 100 mile drive to Jeff's, but I'd still rather do that than risk a cowboy..... Richard:cool3:
  17. Welcome to the club mate! Richard:thumbup:
  18. If it were me, that's what I'd do..... .....whilst others have successfully done the conversion, I'm no mechanic so paying someone else would be much more expensive than selling an n/a and buying a TT. Richard:cool2:
  19. Both posts there are extrememly helpful - thanks guys! So basically it does not matter what colour the antifreeze it, it could still be either type? Hence I guess if you have to top up your system but don't know what type of coolant you have in there already, then a complete drain and refill is the only solution (no pun intended:arabia:). Richard:ninja:
  20. Great advice as always Graham:bow: When I installed the set in my old red ZX (which had the dim-dip), I didn't know about the by-pass trick and just wired it in as per the instructions. However the dim-dip did not give enough power to the balast units, so nothing actually happened until I switched on the headlamps properly anyway! Just lucky I guess......:whistling: Richard:cool3:
  21. Sorry to hear it failed mate - but luckily it all seems easily fixable! And you're right about the brake test - so many garages just throw every car onto the rollers with no consideration of whether they have LSD or not.... Richard:cool3:
  22. Looks fantastic Daz - that's a lovely Vert you have mate!! Richard:thumbup:
  23. Happy birthday Stuart! Richard:punk::thumbup:
  24. Many happy returns Anthony! Richard:rockon:
  25. Happy birthday mate! Richard:rockon:
