  1. That's some sound advice Bri - I must try that myself as my boot lock is hard to operate. And yup - I always use the lever inside the car!! Richard:chef:
  2. I trust you mean our cars and not women Gary......... Richard:biggrin:
  3. They are mate - nicely tailored and a decent quality finish too. Mine were about £60-70 fully delivered, in black with the choice of colours for faux-leather binding; I went for royal blue as I have a blue car..... Richard:cool3:
  4. LOL - probably would have mate!! But by luck she was quite...... Richard:blushing:
  5. I think it's a German thing mate! Mercs, BMs and top of the range Vauxhall/Opel cars come with twin air horns - one high tone and one low. They make a very impressive "PARP" rather then the pathetic "beep" that comes as standard with the ZX. IIRC a decent scrappy will have the twin horns from a top line Omega or Vectra for not too much cash! The only issue is the space you have behind the ZX bumper..... ........which is why I took the easy option from Halfords when I happened to see the Ring item there over the weekend. Richard:cool3:
  6. Hi all, Doesn't the ZX make you feel good? I was slowly reversing out of my parking space in Sainsbury's on Saturday morning, sun out, windows down and targas off...... ......when I looked round to see a very attractive young Indian lady patiently standing behind the ZX. As I gently turned to pull away, she smiled and said "Wow - what a great car!!" It certainly made me smile for the rest of the day!!! Richard:sorcerer:
  7. I can recommend http://www.autostyle.co.uk mate! I got mine from there and the quality is spot on. Richard:sorcerer:
  8. Well it had to go - the stock horn, that is....... .....on Saturday I bought a Ring "high performance" air-type horn from Halfords. So yesterday I replaced the OEM item. It was a bit fiddley to do given the space issue, but (with a few scratches on my hands) it's now done!! I'm no longer embarassed to honk - it's really not loud and intimidating like the Merc's twin jobbies, but for £14.99 it has definitely made an improvement!! Richard:cool2:
  9. Hi Rob, I remember your post mate - you've only had it 5 minutes mate:cursing: Sorry to hear that though; but at least your ZX is safe. I know it can only make you mad, but enjoy the rest of your holiday as there's nothing more you can do, other than inform your insurance company. I can't believe it either - but I hope you get it sorted without too much fuss. Richard:no:
  10. LOL - great minds mate!!:smartass:
  11. how about webuyanycat.com.....? Richard:innocent::biggrin:
  12. RichardS replied to a post in a topic in Newbies - let yourselves be known
Welcome to the club mate - that's a nice ZX you have there too. I love the pearl white..... Richard:chef:
  13. A belated "Many happy returns mate" - hope you had a great day!! Richard:happybday:
  14. Happy birthday Lee - have a great day mate!! Richard:happybday:
  15. I had 5 spokes on my old ZX - Azev As; and now I have a multi-cross spoke style on my new ZX - Mania Vortexs........ .....take your pick!! Richard:sailor:
  16. Looks dead smart Alan!! Richard:sorcerer:
  17. Most cars pull slightly to the left owing to the camber of the road surface!! However on a motorway, especially a concrete surface or in lanes 2 and 3, then it should drive straight! Richard:cool3:
  18. Looking good mate - I can't wait to see the finished article either!! Richard:cool3:
  19. Happy birthday bud! Richard:cool3:
  20. Those V8 Cerberas are dead fast - IIRC they can do 0-100mph in around 10 seconds!! That would waste almost anything you're likely to meet on the road. But, most of them probably break down before they hit 60......:innocent: Richard:thumbup1:
  21. LOL - looks like the Honey Monster exploded in there.......
  22. Happy birthday mate! Richard:happybday:
  23. Many happy returns Craig! I hope you had a great day mate....... Richard:happybday:
  24. I have to agree Ian..... ....In general the police to a good job; but some of the younger officers are a bit "gung ho" in their attitude - they need to remember the fundamental law in this country, that one is innocent until proven guilty!! Richard:shifty:
  25. Glad to hear it Nikki; and good to see you back on the forum once more! So are you any closer to getting into another Z in the future...? Richard:sorcerer:
