digital clock
Sadly not mate - but I'm sure someone could find a wiring diagram..... .....although I doubt it would do the clock any harm if you wired it the wrong way, as it probably just would not work. Plus if it's gone bad anyway (as many do) then you're not losing anything!! On a similar subject, AndyP is a dab hand at reparing broken clocks, why not drop him an e-mail? He's the club treasurer so has a forum address like the rest of us committee/mods - andyp@300zx.co.uk Richard:yes:

Actually there are more smilies in there than you think..... It's a bit like the old one where the forum randomly generates about 10 smileys for instant choice; and then you click "more" for the full repertoire.... Richard:shuriken: PS I love everyone......:clown:

Some pics with MeisterRs fitted
I would have taken a pic of them, but the garage didn't do the tidiest job on that bit - I had already arrived to collect the car and it was Friday afternoon...!! But I can sort that myself later - I'll get some nice washers to line the holes and trim the wires so the knobs are flush. Shouldn't take me more than 1/2 hour. Richard:cool2:

Thanks Rose; there are a couple of pics in "My Rides" now that Lee has fixed it.....:winkiss: It does indeed feel better on the road now - I did turn down the hardness yesterday as I initially thought it was a bit too firm, but it's fine now. The car feels more connected to the road.... .....as for the rear adjusters, there's no need to make a big hole in the boot plastics. MeisterR also does some sturdy wire extenders which screw onto the adjuster knobs on top of the rear struts; you then drill a small hole in the boot trim, feed it through and fix the new adjuster knob on top. So you just have a little adjuster knob sitting atop the boot trim. Nice and tidy - I think they are about £25 extra... Richard:cool3:

Hey Phil - good to hear from you mate!! As you can see, I'm certainly looking after it...!! You're right about the door trim - I haven't got round to replacing that yet and I still need to sort those scratches on the driver's door window. But when the weekends are dry and sunny, I'm too busy driving it (or cleaning it LOL).... Got to 82,800 miles now... Richard:thumbup1:

CHeers buddy - I went for the Zeta S...... I do mate - the car feels much more planted and secure on the road. I did think the ride was a bit harsh at first, but the garage set them at "22 clicks" from soft; I have since turned that back to 12 clicks from the softest setting and it's a better compromise I reckon! All in all, very good - especially considering Jerrick's special price offer! It came to £606 delivered; including credit card charge and the remote adjuster cables for the rear shocks. I then paid DS Automotives (Japanese car specialists) in Aylesbury £350 inc VAT and a full 4-wheel allignment set-up to fit and fettle them... Richard:shuriken:

Yay!! Another MOT pass this morning.......
Thanks guys!! I think it's closer to 13 mate........ I had it done a bit earlier last year; I was cutting it a bit fine this time as the old one runs out on the 5th of March..... Sooo true Gaz!! I was in the workshop whilst the car was being tested (even helped out inside the car; switching on lights, pressing pedal on brake test etc) so I had a look underneath whilst it was on the ramps...... .....and it's good to see there is at least one UK spec Z32 out there nice and rust free!!! Yay!! Another MOT pass this morning.......
Once again the Z flew through with flying colours...... .....Plus there were no comments about the HID conversion or the headlight washers not working!! So I'm not sure we will have any problems with the new MOT test regs that recently came into force!! Don't like the new certificate printed on regular A4 though - kind of looks cheap and nasty; and not so official!! Anyway, after a fill-up at the BP (just £2 short of £100....:w00t:), I decided to take the car for a little blast around the country lanes of Bucks to celebrate - even if it was a little damp this morning. I wanted to try out my new MeisterR coilovers which were fitted yesterday; followed by a full 4-wheel allignment set up..... .....and to say I'm impressed is an understatement. They're superb - I can thoroughly recommend them to anyone. I did turn down the hardness a bit though, the roads round here are like the surface of the moon. I love my ZX even more now:wink: Richard:cool2:

rear wobble/ unstable?
Hi Mate, it could be your HICAS ball joints as they are prone to wear; they cost about £50 each side for the outer joints and roughly the same for the inner ones (plus labour to fit). You can get them from Mike Feeney - MJP in the traders section - but do have someone take a look before you go shelling out for parts.... ....you can get the eminator kit, but IIRC you still need to replace the ball joints first otherwise it will still be as loose as a baggy arse! The HICAS joints will be an MOT failure - when was it last tested? It could also be something so simple as the wheel allignment - you must get a full 4 wheel set-up done on the ZX; and the steering wheel MUST be 100% straight as it has the sensors for the HICAS steering. If the wheel is off centre, it does play havoc with the rear wheel steering during fast cornering.... Richard:cool3:
