  1. Good find Allan - it is certainly a nice example of a 300zx and, with those wheels, is definitely better than when Isaac owned it (sorry mate, if you're reading this.....:flowers:) It was Isaac who had it converted to manual - at Jeff's, so it was done properly!! That will be a good buy for someone; I hope it returns to the club...... Richard:cool2:
  2. Exactly guys - listen to the 300zx master. Jeff knows these cars better than anyone!!! Richard:donatello:
  3. Anytime Nicci!! This place is not just about the cars - we're actually a helpful lot on many other matters too. Hell, it's the first place I turn to for advice on just about anything; someone always comes up with the answer in the end!!! Richard:thumbup:
  4. LOL - that's the spirit......
  5. That is exactly the issue Nicci - how he makes you feel!! Human beings are wonderful creatures and, thankfully, each of us is different. So you might think your hubby has a way with women, but not every other woman will feel the same way. As a woman yourself, how many good looking or charming men have you turned down/knocked back because they simply did not "do it for YOU?" I doubt this "gym buddy" feels the same way about him as you do. I rest my case....... .....and forget the therapy; an evening spent on 300zx.co.uk can answer all your questions and unlock the secrets of the universe!! Welcome back to the fold hun - we're always here for you!! Richard:sorcerer:
  6. LOL - don't rub it in mate........ (b@stard!!) Richard:tt2:
  7. Ahem...... mental note, move to private forums....LOL Richard:tt2:
  8. NO!! I cannot be doing with most of the drivel that passes for entertainment on TV nowadays - in fact I'd rather gouge out my eyeballs with desert spoons.... That's why I'm normally found on here keeping by beady eye on things.....:detective: Richard:wink:
  9. Whilst Dave's comment is in line with his usual style and humour - I can see sense in that!! Nicci, I would not be jealous unless you had any definite clues that you should be. I have been happily married for 12 years this June and in that time, Julia has had no problems with my best friend (of 26 years) being female; albeit we hardly meet up so much nowadays. Also I have a very good relationship with my assistant at work; we go out to lunch together once a week and I always bring her back a small present when I go on holiday (in fact Julia helps chose the gift!). OK so Julia has no male friends nowadays, but if she did I'd be fine with it - we are both secure and confident in our relationship not to be worried about a platonic friendship one or other of us might have. If anything I reckon it strenghthens our relationship.... Whilst men are superficial creatures and, if they have female friends will undoubtedly find said friends attractive (else why would we have made friends with them in the first place), sub-consiously fancy the ladies in question; we would never actually do anything to consumate that friendship. For starters, we know what's best for us and that is definitely our wife/partner etc; secondly you have to remember that said females might not actually fancy us!! I hear that women can actually be friends with a man and not be sexually attracted them....... Richard:winkiss:
  10. Nice choice - I actually quite like the MX5 too........ .....although I wouldn't go for orange myself!!! Get some pics up - that will be great in the summer... Richard:cool3:
  11. Thanks for the heads up..... .....I need to stock up on a few cleaning products. Shame they do this when there's a hosepipe ban down this way though.....:censored: Richard:cool3:
  12. Fappin' 'Eck....... ......I thought £1.49 for regular unleaded at my local Shell was bad enough......:scared:
  13. Looks good mate - I do love a stock red ZX..... ....and Gary is right (so is CarMad about the fuel economy); I'd keep it for sure.... Richard:sorcerer:
  14. Great news mate; it's looking good - and see you at Japfest.....!! Richard:yes:
  15. Same here - although my local Shell garage is now charging over £1.48 per litre for regular unleaded...... £104 to fill the SLK....:online2long: So they should; LOL!! What did you buy...? Richard:chef:
  16. You're welcome - I'm pleased it was something simple mate...... .....as most things aren't on a 300zx!!! Richard:winkiss:
  17. I agree Dave - especially in bright sunlight!! I wasn't too sure before I bought my blue one as I always like red Zs - I just bought the car because is was a straight, sound low mileage UK spec car. The colour was IMO a bit understated - but having had this ZX almost 3 years, the colour has really grown on me!! Richard:wink:
  18. Now you're asking mate, I did my last one 3 years ago......! .......But you should be able to trace it from the ISO head unit wiring, using its wiring diagram. Assuming you have purchased the adaptor cables for connecting up to the OEM plugs behind the dash (rather than just cutting and splicing) that is. Follow the designated aerial feed from the after-market radio, down through the plugs etc to see which wire in the car's loom it meets - that is your live feed. Then from the wires/plug on the car loom side, there will be one connector which does not have an equivalent wire from the radio/ISO/adaptor cable meeting it. That is your power supply to the amp. Using a small length of wire and a couple of Scotchlock connectors, join the aeriel supply from the radio side, to the amp feed on the car loom side (that way you know exactly what they are - and can simply sever the connection if at come point you re-fit the OEM head unit when you sell the car). Hope that makes sense..... Richard:cool3:
  19. Great news on the MOT pass mate - and welcome back to ZX driving..... ......I'll say! although the ZX isn't bad for what it is at £215 per year back in January...... ........ I've just taxed the SLK and Rav and they are £270 p/y each. Actually I can't really complain about the SLK - as for a 3500cc 308bhp car £270 isn't bad, luckily Merc managed to reduce the emissions for the later cars otherwise it could have been £460:crying: Richard:cool3:
  20. I never knew that - but when I bought a J-spec nose panel and asked the same paint shop to spray it TK3, it was darker than their previous work!! Although they did respray it for free, but only after I left them my original nose panel for them to colour match...... .....that said, I got Halfords (of all places) to mix me a touch-up bottle/brush pot just based on the paint code and they have actually got it spot on!! Richard:thumbup1:
  21. You're a brave fella taking that on mate - but good luck with it and well done for giving it a go!! Keep us informed of your progress too; as is is good to see another ZX surviving..... Richard:thumbup1:
  22. Many happy returns Steve!! Richard:clap:
  23. Happy birthday amigo! Richard:thumbup1:
  24. Many happy returns mate! Richard:happybday:
  25. Hi Jim, yes it is mate - the same colour as mine!! Although I would not just get the paint shop to match it from the colour code alone, as it is a pearlescent finish...... I had some paint work done on mine and the 'shop also used a colour analyser thingy on a good section of the existing paint to ensure a better match than just mixing up TK3. And they did!! Unless you are having the whole car sprayed - in which case it makes no difference!! Richard:rockon:
