Sorry to hear this Mark. I am pleased that TD has honoured their obligations regarding the turbo warranties; and I hope you can get the engine issue resolved with the minimum of fuss. Good luck mate, Richard

classic car insurance costs
That's odd; we have a member - dave@fj - on here who works for them and he has put us forward as a club they work with. FJ was in the process of becoming a trader not so long ago.... Richard:thumbup1:

I-phone 4s, galaxy s3 or htc one X ? Which one?
LOL - so true Allan.... ....hence I did not cast a vote!! My phone is just that - a telephone - it has a camera of sorts but what it does best is make/receive calls and texts. Simples!! Richard:biggrin:

hi
Welcome to the club Colin..... ....and my learned friend is dead right there!! You may have to travel miles to find the right ZX (I did - twice!!); but if you do spot a potentially nice one, just ask if anyone here is local and whether they'd mind popping along to see it before you treck across the country yourself. We're a friendly and helpful bunch so it's not too much of an imposition.....!! Good luck in your search - and do check out our own "for sale" section too. Yewcheck is selling a mighty fine UK spec manual car at the moment.... Richard:thumbup1:

SuperHICAS: Repair or Replace
That's what I would do also mate - when it's working it is just fine. Plus as Z32bolt says, unless you opt for the full DW eliminator kit, you'll still need to replace the ball-joints even if you purchase a lock-out bar. The best place to buy them is from Mike at MJP in the traders section - it's a common replacement item on the ZX so Mike is bound to have loads in stock. IIRC they are about £40-ish each..... ....alternatively if you want the whole supply and fit service, and you can get to the Midlands, give JeffTT a call. Richard:thumbup1:

Mercedes E class
Far from it mate - the W211 was a fine car; it was the previous shape E-class that spawned from the "cut back era!" I have not owned one myself; but when my last SLK was being repaired after some arse drove into the back of me, I was given a brand new (then 08 plate) E320cdi V6 to drive around in for about 10 weeks. And to be honest, I actually loved it - if I had to have a sensible saloon car, I'd have chosen an E-class (albeit a mighty petrol V8 or AMG - LOL) - and whilst the new E-class has a great reputation, I prefer the look of the W211. Most of the local taxis here are W211s - either 280 or 320 cdis - and the drivers love them!! I reckon AndrewG has given a sound opinion...... .....and Big_Jim; you old man pipped me to that number plate!!!! I wanted "V6 RFS" for my own V6 Merc.....:shifty: Richard:thumbup1:

resprayed and fitted UK Spec Alloys
Nothing wrong with the stock wheels Ryan - especially with the wider rears of course!! Looking good mate, even though the car is hiding behind your front wall!!! Richard:biggrin:

Are indicator side repeators required for MOT?
I believe that the indicators have to be seen flashing from the side AND front (not to mention the rear) view to meet with the law...... .....so if you have them trully wrapped around so they show from the front head on; and from the side view full on, then you would be OK.

just a thought ..........
Hey - I actually got NAMED in the praise!!! That's never happened before...... Cheers Ryan; but I cannot take credit that is also due to ALL my colleagues on the committee. The mods indeed do a superb job too - but then you said that already........ And for Mikey - I reckon Gaz said it better than I could have done "Druken words sober thoughts" Never a truer word spoken I reckon....
