Beaulieu Simply Japanese Event
Sadly I'm pulling out of this as well...... ......despite my ZX proving ever reliable thus far, it has (unfortunately) decided that it needs a new waterpump and is dropping coolant. Lots of coolant!! I have it (re)booked in at Jeff's this Wednesday and don't want to risk using it before then as I'd prefer to make the 100 mile trip to Zedworld without the need for the RAC's intervention!! I suppose I could come down in the Merc, but as it's not Japanese I'd feel out of place.... Richard:shaun:

If i had a blunt rusty knife
I know we live in a civilzed society (supposedly) but I have to agree with the above comments. If we had capital punishment instead of bleeding heart liberal justice, then we would not have these low-life deviants inflicting their evil on the world...... .......but no; these days we put them up in a holiday camp-style prison and segregate them from those who might dispense "real" justice; at our (the tax payer's) expense!!! I am not condoning or encouraging violence; but please? What about the rights of the victims and the families they leave behind? Richard:angry:

At last-on to the garage!
Nice work Darren - it's looking great mate!! Richard:thumbup1:

Black plugs
Me too. When a car is running from cold, the fuel mixture is much richer; hence more soot is produced in the combustion chambers. This burns off when the engine is up to full temperature and running properly - but if you are only starting it in the garage, it is on idle all the time and the soot won't get burned away. Air Con Compressor
Exactly - it should turn pretty feely otherwise a plain old fan-belt would just slip and squeel as it tried to move the pulley in operation!

seriously disheartened now and just wanna burn the car help!
Seconded..... .....if it was working fine before the conversion then it's probably something minor; or something that was not done properly during the manual conversion. Good luck mate; don't lose heart!! Richard:thumbup1:

Bedtime at Zedworld

My new 99 lip
Oooh I like that mate!! Looks like Car Mad has come up trumps with that addition - the 99-spec front looks great anyway but that little addition really finishes it off!! Richard:thumbup1:

Hello , new to this
Welcome to the club mate!! You have come to the right place; although I don't know the answer to your question no doubt someone will be along soon who does. If not you could do a lot worse than contact JeffTT at Zedworld - he's a 300zx guru and can help with most technical issues! Richard:thumbup1:

Your Olympic athlete body match

My Stillen lip - a taster........
Cheers Dave - and that's exactly why I went for it mate!! I like the stock look but there is an "over-bite" thing going on with it - and the 99-spec is quite a pouplar upgrade now. So having seen Andy Isherwood's car I too thought I'd go for the Stillen lip as not many others have it..... Yet!! Richard:thumbup1:

My Stillen lip - a taster........
Thanks fellas, I'm really pleased with it - and yes Gaz, the moustache is satin black; which I reckon suits the front end pretty well!! They decided not to paint the number plate mount though - strange choice - but not a big issue as I can sort that later if it bugs me..... .....I now have the crystal indicators I got from Mark Derby to fit in place of the smoked UK-spec blanks; and I'll either add some J-spec fogs or work in some kind of LED running lights like Daz has on his 'vert. Unless I try that and don't like the look that is - in which case I'll keep it as is!! Richard:biggrin:
-
My Stillen lip - a taster........
Well the car is back from the paint shop and the Stillen lip is fitted..... .....along with one or two other bits of paintwork tidying. Here are a couple of phone-pics for now; it was raining when I got home so I'll take a few more with my DSLR once I have waxed the car later on!! Richard:clap:

99 spec front bumper
MJP all the way for an OEM 99-spec front as Luke is a bit more expensive. Plus Mike is a trader here (not to mention a top bloke) and we should support him where we can..... .....otherwise if you want a cheaper alternative, then Car Mad has the FG replicas; which again I have heard good things about. He's a trader too - so the same applies.... Richard:thumbup1:
