Japanese day at Bicester Heritage - Jan 29th
We were quite lucky with our spot too - lots of other attendees had to park on the (rather mucky) grass ?

Interestingly, one of my favourite cars was not actually Japanese - I loved the SWB Defender..... It was in a purple/blue flip colour, much like the TVR paint - and was fitted with a 4.0 V8 to boot. The owner was a nice guy and took pleasure showing us around his car. I want one ?!!! As for that old tractor, it was definitely in need of a Jimmer-rebuild ?

Nice to see the RX7s - and the new "BMW" Supra continues to grow on me - especially in certain colours ?

And a few more - I have to say, I do like the new Toyota GR 86 - a subtle but much improved car than than the GT86, IMO!

Saw another couple of Zeds too - the black one looks familiar. Tom and I both thought we saw the same car at Beaulieu last July......

A few more.... .....Including Rob's engine bay and a nice Mk4 Supra, which I had the pleasure to meet (and share some mutual admiration) on the M40, heading there ?

A few B&W shots, to capture the atmosphere of the place - as Tom said, it's an old WW2 RAF base......

Japanese day at Bicester Heritage - Jan 29th
Yup - was a good morning indeed - and the first one of 2023....! It was exactly as Tom says, a great opportunity to stretch the Zed's legs on a little blast, after being in the garage for what seems like ages. Also nice to catch up with a few members again, have a chat over a sausage and bacon roll, and mull over a few ideas for some events and meets later in the year. Thanks for sharing your pics Tom, I'll get some up in an hour or so. Oh yeah, and blue Zeds are still fastest Tom - what happened to you and Ian on the way home......? You only caught up with me after I had slowed to leave the M40 at J5, LOL ?

Glad to hear you're still heading up Tom. Rob (Howl) is coming too - albeit not in his Zed..... And Ian hasn't ruled himself out yet either. Neither Rob nor me have an excuse, as we're both only 30-40 minutes away from Bicester ?

AGM 2023 - your thoughts please!
I have gone for April 30th or May 21st - thus avoiding the weekend of HM's coronation.... Won't be as easy securing accommodation over a BH weekend ?

AGM 2023 - your thoughts please!
Good point Tom - that point is key..... This is your club folks, it's your chance to help us run the kind of club that you want to be members of - and we can't do that without your participation, help, support and above all, feedback. Come along, meet your fellow members, have some lunch and have your say on how we can continue running the club to suit everyone! Richard ?

AGM 2023 - your thoughts please!
Hi all, Now that Christmas 2022 is but a distant memory - and we're already kicking off 2023 with a meet at Bicester Heritage this weekend (see the club calendar) - it's time to think about this year's AGM..... We held a rather small and intimate meeting at The British Motor Museum last October and one of the key things arising from that, was that we should hold this year's AGM much earlier in the year - like at the very beginning of the season. So without further ado, I would like to put forward some suggested dates. The AGM should be held in the Midlands area, in fairness to all members who have to travel, on a Sunday; with the option to stay at a nearby hotel on the Saturday night and get together for a meal that evening. This event is open to all club/forum members and their partners, spouses, significant others, families; whatever! Potential venues include: The British Motor Museum (again) British Motor Museum | Home The Great British Car Journey Great British Car Journey | A tour through British motoring history Cosford RAF Museum RAF Museum Midlands | Midlands Aircraft Museum | Free Admission Bicester Heritage Bicester Heritage | Bicester Heritage Hatton Country Park Hatton Country World – Fantastic Attractions for the Whole Family (hattonworld.com) Or if anyone has any other suggestions, please do let me know. However first and foremost, we must select a date..... I'd suggest we get Easter out of the way, to allow for people taking holidays so please indicate your preferences in the poll! Thanks for all your support in 2022 - here's to getting together in 2023.

....And to add, I'm still going to this - two tickets bought and paid for.... And being as accountant, I'm not wasting my £10 LOL!! It's been raining here all day, so hopefully the salt is being washed away. The weather looks warmer for Sunday, so at the moment, I'm still planning on bringing the Zed too ?
