  1. Yup - as said above.... ....although do ask for the price of a new one from your local motor factors (or even Halfords) - you might be pleasantlly surprised to find it's not actually that much more expensive than a new one...!! Richard:thumbup1:
  2. Many happy returns Mike - have a great day mate; whatever you're up to!! Richard:clap:
  3. Good to see some progress on this Vijay - especially after all the time your car has been off the road mate!! Richard:thumbup1:

Thanks for your support mate.....!! Once Andy has spotted your sub in the bank, you'll be activated - thanks again and enjoy the club!! Richard:thumbup1:
  5. Me me....!! I love the hot stuff - I currently use a little firey number called Dragon's Blood to spice up curries and chillies..... http://www.chilliworld.com/SP6.asp?p_id=255 Read all the reviews, not just the first one.....!! Richard:thumbup1:
  6. I agree mate - too wide on the front and the car will tramline; 235 is probably the best option for the fronts (I have 235/40/18) but I can't see the point of going wider than 245 on the front....... .....and I agree 100% I'm sticking to 265/35/18 on the rear - I have no need to go any wider - but will only fit premium brands like Goodyear/Bridgestone/Conti etc. You also need to consider the cost of replacements - getting up to 285+ will be pricey - especially when you factor in the aspect ratio (tyre profiles) to keep the running radius on target. So once you get into the huge sizes, the decent budget brands in 285/30+ sizes can start to cost almost as much as premium 265/35s. And I know what I would rather have on my car; they're the only things keeping you on the road!! Richard
  7. LOL - quite a good philosophy there really mate; a decent set of upgraded H3 bulbs (and by decent, I mean Osram or Philips - not the usual "blue max power" shite peddled on ebay) isn't much less than £25 now, so at that price, what have you got to lose? Sure a few years ago some of these cheap HID kits were absolute rubbish, but things have moved on a bit since then!! Richard:biggrin:
  8. Hi Tom, sorry to hear of your woes mate.... Hopefully the above posts answer your det sensor question... As for the a/c, quite often with age the system develops leaks - be it a hole in the condenser or somewhere in the pipework. Kwak Fart cannot help you as the 300zx runs on the old refigerant (I believe it is called R12) and all these fast fit places will only replenish modern systems with R134 gas. However there is a drop-in replacement for the old R12 - which Zedworld can arrange; although quite sensibly they declined to take your money as there could be a leak somewhere... Your best bet would be to call a mobile a/c technician who specializes in the old type of gas (or its equivalent replacement). That's what I did - he identified my Z had a big hole in the condenser and just charged me a £25 call-out fee. So with that knowledge, I went up to Jeff's and he popped in a replacement condenser, then had the system regassed. It works just perfectly now!! Good luck mate! Richard
  9. Many happy returns mate - have a great day!! Richard:clap:
  10. Hi Lucinda, welcome to the club!! You'll find everything you need 300zx related on here - not to mention countless other useless advice about life, the universe and everything else for that matter!! Richard:thumbup1:
  11. Definitely an improvement Rob - although I'm not so keen on the orange! What's with the aerial too mate, it's an interesting shape....!! Timewarp......? Nah; that's just Coventry........ I spotted the Marina but couldn't quite identify the other car; I was thinking either Rover P6 or Triumph 2000 - it looks too big for a Dolomite. Not to mention the 1980s style Range Rover either..... .....Maybe it's a "Life on Mars" moment...!! Richard:biggrin:
  12. Excellent matey...... ....Another happy Zedworld customer!!! Jeff and Jamie have the whole cambelt change honed to a fine art now; not to mention their invaluable knowledge on all other 300zx related issues... Richard:thumbup1:
  13. Flippin 'eck Andy!!! I am sorry to see that mate; having seen your car I'd have to agree with the comments already made. Around £4.5 to £5k for a quicker sale but I'd hold out for £5.5 to £6k myself..... ....but then with that awful front lip you might struggle to get a tenner.... Good luck in whatever you decide mate.... Richard:blink:
  14. Nice fine Lee!! Richard:thumbup1:
  15. That's what I was thinking too...... Even cheap HIDs will be better than OEM bulbs - however the previous owner might have chosen 8000k bulbs.... They would give too blue a light which is probably pretty useless; you need no more than 6000k but I would pick 4300k myself as they are a brighter white light as opposed to blue. Richard:thumbup1:
  16. Sorry to hear that mate - but good luck with the rebuild..... Richard
  17. Oh yes matey - it's not bad at all....! Goes well with Chinese food; just like you can't beat a Cobra or two with a curry!!! Richard:thumbup1:
  18. Chinese beer!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsingtao_Brewery Richard:biggrin:
  19. Welcome to the club Derek!!! Richard:thumbup1:
  20. LOL - but Ryan is online right now though.....!!! Richard:laugh:
  21. Heh heh..... .....I now the feeling matey!!! We're not long in from the Chinese down in the village.... A couple of Tsing-Taos before, a bottle of wine with, then a couple of creme-de-menthes afterwards and I'm both phished and phucked!!! Richard:laugh:
  22. In view of what Ian has just said..... ....I am saying nothing matey!!! Richard:biggrin:
  23. LOL - me too mate..... .....and I have never actually had a loan or needed PPI in the first place. Does my fooking head in that every company I have ever divulged my mobile phone number or e-mail addy to thinks it's OK to sell on my details to these scum-bags!!!! Richard:biggrin:
  24. As one who isn't a parent myself.... LOL!!! But with my sensible head on, hell some of those pics (assuming they are genuine) do explain a lot about society today!!! Richard:biggrin:
  25. That is very true! Sadly it is the odd ones that do go bad which can stick in peoples' minds - however if anyone does rip off our members then we do try to help out in any way in which we can. And then we take swift action to ensure they won't do it again.....!! Richard:thumbup1:
