  1. Cool - thanks for letting me know mate!!
  2. Certainly a good tip there Allan.... .....I hope it all works out for you in the end mate - and it seems like Elephant is doing the right thing by refusing to settle the claim against you. After all, when you insure a car as an individual, the car maybe insured - but only to the drivers named on the policy. And it's clear you were not driving at the time of the accident.... Trouble is, your car is (or was) on the MID as being insured at the time and that policy was in your name.... I'm sure common sense will prevail - but it does not stop the aggro etc for you (or help with your current car insurance arrangements) whilst the matter is unresolved. Thanks for the warning; it is certainly a lesson for us all. Richard:detective:
  3. Hi Ian, welcome back matey - and good to chat with you online the other night!! I'm pleased to hear you are OK and hope to speak properly soon, ATB Richard:cool3:
  4. Hi John, Thanks for your continued support mate!! Hope your F1 prize arrived safely BTW...... Richard:cool3:
  5. Looking superb Daz - and it's great to see it out on the road at last mate!!! All your hard work has definitely paid off... Richard:thumbup:
  6. He was indeed - very sad..... ....RIP Richard
  7. Good to see you are still busy Jeff - and that all those Zs are getting some well deserved attention!!! Still, it's a bit of a tight squeeze in there though - expecially the 3 in the centre row.... It'd be good to know what order you parked them in...LOL Richard:cool3:
  8. LOL - I'd weigh it up Bri; do you really need the extension, like is it for more needed space or just one of your wife's desires....? And do you really want that car.....? If I was in that situation myself, I'd say that as there's only 2 of us, our 3 bed semi is just fine - not to mention the extra cleaning she'd have to do if we had a bigger house (we don't need) - so why not just settle with that and let's enjoy the fruits of our labours and go for the car!!! Hmmm, I might have to try that myself. Again.....LOL Richard:whistling::cool3:
  9. Welcome to the club Mark - and good luck with your new purchase!! It's always good to see another 300zx living on, so I wish you every success with your project and look forward to seeing it back to its former glory!! Richard:cool3:
  10. Many happy returns Mark! Richard:cool3:
  11. A belated happy birthday mate! Richard:cool3:
  12. Yup - I remember that Gary.... ...And I did a similar thing with my blue ZX!! I remembered PhilP's for sale post from a year earlier - so when he put the car up for sale again some time later, and this time I was in the market to replace my red one, I remembered his old ad!! Phil answered all my questions accurately and provided tons of photos to prepare me for what I could expect - so I took the 200 mile or so train journey to Phil's full of confidence. And I was not disappointed - we went for a nice long test drive, I examined the car etc and Phil could not have been more helpful at every stage. So one bank transfer later - followed a long (and wet) drive back down South - I now have a very tidy late UK spec 300zx that I am more than happy with; and Phil was a pleasure to deal with!! Good luck with your search Ken; I hope you find a good one as there are still some out there! Richard:cool3:
  13. Great news Brian - good to see you Zedding again mate!! You've really cracked on with that car..... Richard:cool3:
  14. Heh heh - very good Phil..... .....but only if the driver was in a Hawaiian shirt:winkiss:
  15. Sorry to hear that mate.... .....TBH there does not seem to be many 300zxs for sale out there at the mo. This 99-spec looks lovey though..... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?167777-Nice-99-spec Richard:cool3:
  16. Welcome to the club mate!! Richard:cool3:
  17. A belated happy birthday mate! Richard:cool3:
  18. LOL - indeed mate..... they can do some damage.....:whistling:
  19. Yeah, what Gaz says - add a Magic Tree and a cheap ice-scraper.... Job done, she'll be putty in your hands mate!! Richard:lol:
  20. Cheers Steve; it's never too late!! Richard:winkiss:
  21. They look much better than all other indiglow dials I have seen for the 300zx, as I really do not like it when the numbers on the speedo/tacho are not horizontal....... ......And of the types on offer, I have to agree. The black dials with illuminated numbers/outer circle look far nicer than the white clocks; to me, that was a fashion trend from the 1990s that is better left in the past! It would be good if they did dials for UK spec cars with a 180-mph speedo though... Richard:cool3:
  22. As above - some high performance tyres are directional and some are simply "inside or outside" - as with Continental tyres like many German cars have fitted as standard.... Directional tyres will usually have little arrows to indicate the direction of rotation; whilst others have "outside" embossed on the tyre wall! Richard:cool3:
  23. Neigh...... I know what I have bought, so off you trot....:whistling:
  24. I could not have put it better myself!! Nice one Dean...... Richard:cool3:
  25. Thank you all..... Hic... Richard:pint:
