Toll Bridge
Hell - it's human nature to avoid such charges mate...... But one really needs to weigh up the options of driving round for miles to avoid these routes; it's often better to pay and go. Unless you have no money on you for the crossing - which, let's be honest, sometimes we just don't!!! Lincoln is a lovely city though; especially round the castle. Julia and I spent a long weekend there one December a few years back...:thumbup1: Richard:shaun:

Classic Car Show - Trentham Gardens Stoke On Trent
Oooh - might have to see if I can get along to that....:thumbup1: It is dead cool - Pbryant Knight on here also has (had?) a superb KITT replica judging by the pics. but if The Hoff himself drove that one, then it gets my vote!!! Richard:clap:

Happy Birthday stuartclarke

Happy Fathers Day!
Yup - whilst not a dad myself, I wish a belated happy father's day to all the dads on the forum!! I called my father yesterday to see if he was OK (sadly I did not have the time to visit this weekend, he lives 50 miles away); but he was chuffed with my card and I have bought him a nice bottle of single malt, which I'll take over to him next weekend. Hopefully! Richard:thumbup1:

waterless coolant
I have seen this Evans stuff advertised in many classic car magazines..... ......But I have not thought about using it in the ZX though; nothing bad about, I just didn't see the point of draining my cooling system and refilling it, when water and antifreeze does the job for me! How much does it cost in comparison to a decent antifreeze - and in comparison to changing your coolant every 2-3 years? And how does it compare to other "for life" ready mixed coolant products on the market? So even if it does live up to the manufacturer's hype - it is really worth it...? Richard:yinyang:

Subscription renewed (can someone press the green button please)
That's right..... We set up the journal section a long time ago for the benefit of members to post ongoing progress to their projects. Because this is an internet forum, upon which every man and his dog (could) have an opinion, it was decided back then that only the thread starter (plus mods/committee; as they have access to the whole forum by default) could post in the journal threads of individual members; that way each member's journal would remain free of spammers and unwelcome comments!! Hope that helps, Richard:thumbup1:

mcewans best scotch
I remeber that Allan..... Hell, it was one of my first beer experiences too; my uncle used to buy cans of the stuff back in the late '70s/early '80s and (ahem) allowed me to sample it from time to time!! Those were the days. And as Julia says, my uncle Bob has a lot to answer for - he got me interested in both cars and beer.... I've not seen it for ages either; have you tried google searching for it mate? Richard:thumbup1:

July Meet & Bbq
Sounds a great idea Ian - and thanks for the PM inviting me and Julia!! As you said, it is a fair distance for us to travel though - especially as Julia works until 3pm most Saturdays and she has booked out all of her holiday entitlement this year.... Nonetheless I would like to come though - so never say never - but I'll have to let you know nearer the time. If we cannot make it, I'd like to wish Yvonne a very happy 16th birthday though and I'm sure she'll have a great day. Be in touch matey... Richard:thumbup1:

Appointment of new REO
Hi North Wales members! I'd like to announce a change to the Regional Events Organizer for your area. Keith (KJZ32) has been acting deputy REO for some time; but he has now stepped up as the region's official REO with immediate effect. On behalf of The Committee, I'd like to thank Rob (Hollandrob81) for all his efforts to date; and congratulate Keith on taking over the role within the club.
