  1. Good reason indeed Nicci......:smartass::smartass:
  2. Heh heh - that's better...... ......but no you're not because you deleted it. Think of the children - poor old Mikey Bean was going to save that pic for later.....
  3. LOL - so did I mate.... ....And good call on the old cartoons - kids have nothing that's worth watching nowadays..... ......Not like when we were young......:wheelchair:
  4. .....Someone is going to say it - so I'll get in there first..... .....What support........??? Richard:oops:
  5. Nasty - just nasty.....:nono:
  6. Not at all..... ....HIDs do "arc" at start-up; the light then immediately dips and gradually gets brighter in the next few seconds...... But ultimately HIDs draw fewer watts than conventional halogen lights; don't worry mate - perfectly normal!! Richard:cool:
  7. Heh heh - although I doubt it mate!! I have AMG brakes on the Merc and I'd defy that to stop in the distance I had to avoid hitting the child - and at 29mph.....
  8. Oooooh, steady on guys and gals..... ...I go away for an hour or so to make dinner and things degenerate rapidly!!! And I see Nikki has edited her "original" picture as well........ ......Probably for the best. I think the first one got one or two little boys a bit too hot under the collar... Richard:winkiss:
  9. LOL - is that the only reason you PM'd me just now Lee.......:scared::winkiss:
  10. Whilst there has been many a debate about the virtues of stock brakes on here, I have always been of the opinion they are good - as long as they are in full working order..... .....And I had the opportunity to test that theory this morning when a small child ran across the road in front of me, without looking or warning. Luckily there was no-one behind me, as I doubt they would have stopped as quickly!! Richard:nono:
  11. Nasty - sorry to hear that Si; but I am pleased that Fran was not more seriously injured, as it could have been a whole lot worse!! I wish Fran a speedy recovery and hope that you get the insurance matter sorted as best you can mate. Good luck buddy, Richard:flowers:
  12. Drop Gary Wilson a PM mate.... ......he might be able to sort you with another!! Richard:thumbup:
  13. Welcome back to the club mate..... ....and good luck with your new toy!!! Richard:thumbup:
  14. Yep - but all done now..... ....And I've had an idea about the little orange stickers that are visible when the car is unlocked - as I have a blue car I thought about painting the little squares in blue!! Julia has a nice bright blue nail varnish in her collection; perhaps I'll give it a try... On the car locking tab of course..... Richard:cool:
  15. Cheers Gaz - I must have been off-form today as I had a couple of mis-haps whilst doing it. Firstly I forgot to re-connect the passenger electric window switch and had to remove the door card once again.... .....and then I dropped the little bolt that holds the upright panel to the door, inside the door itself - the bolt where you have to pop the little circle plate behind the window to access. I took off the door card again, but could not for the life of me see or get it back. I found another similar size screw in my tool box - and dropped that one as well.... Luckily I retrieved the new one and wrapped a bit of fuse wire round it to hold it in place until I had partially screwed it in!!! Richard:cool:
  16. I think the Mercedes red is called "Fire Opal" - I have also seen it on both a C-class coupe and an SLS; it does look rather nice.....
  17. I fitted my chrome interior door handles..... .....Lovely!!! Richard:bow:
  18. That doesn't look a bad purchase Mark - apart from the rear lights that is. And the black targa panels..... Wheels are quite nice as well....!! Richard:thumbup:
  19. Many happy returns Bobby!! Richard:happybday:
  20. Good luck with your new toy mark....:clover:
  21. Sorry to hear that Vods.... .....And to compare, I had a puncture repaired on the Merc whilst I was in Cornwall - HiQ in Bodmin - and it cost £16.95 including a re-balance...... Richard:oops:
  22. Glad the 3 of you (that includes the ZX...) had a great holiday mate...!! That kind of thing is what the ZX is made for - I only did not take mine to Cornwall 3 weeks ago because I have already covered 4000 (out of a permitted 5000) miles on my classic policy; and I don't renew it until 12 November!! Richard:thumbup:
  23. Gave it a wash - so it's nice and shiney for driving around in over the weekend....
