  3. That would be great if you could Terry..... .....And I'm sure you'd get plenty of help mate!! Gibster-TT expressed an interest initially - and if Ghazoobe buys a ZX and subscribes, you have further potential assistance in the role. And since the SE also includes London, there's nothing to stop there being 2 joint REOs for the area.....!! If you're up for the job - or can work with a joint REO, let me know and I'll sort it!! Richard:cool:
  4. It's coming on nicely mate - can't wait to see it all finished and back together!! Richard:cool:
  5. Nothing really mate - just at the time you posted, I was actually about to look into when the Z32 was officially first available for sale in the UK..... And you provided the answer before I started!! With the 25th anniversary celebrations next year, we had been discussing loosely whether there was an actual significant date that might be feasible for our event. One choice being the first weekend in August to coincide with the "G" registration. But actually it is now of no importance - as we are selecting a day in the summer anyway (for the weather); and will not be worrying about if the Z32 was actually available here 25 years ago!! Sorry if that doesn't make sense - but it might to those of us planning the event... Richard:cool:
  6. Not heard of it myself Dan..... .....And if there is someone the chances are, like anything else in the UK, it will be prohibitively expensive!!! Probably cheaper to just buy a new set of wheels.....!! Richard:cool:
  7. LOL - no worries mate.... ....I owe it all to that portrait thingy I have in my loft.....:shifty::death:
  8. Some time in 1889 mate.....:euro:
  9. Keeping with Gaz's Status Quo theme - and since it's Christmas..... Richard:santa::punk:
  10. PMSL - cheeky young whippersnapper; you'd not have gotten away with that in my day...
  11. Walk in the park for a man of your talents Lee.......
  12. Indeed mate; a good Mk3 is a rare beast on the roads now - so all the more worth holding on to. As for parts and modifications, you could do a lot worse than contacting Fensport in Cambridgeshire. That's where I used to buy all my stuff when I had my Mk3 Supras http://www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Model_33/ Here are the pics of my old cars - sadly I do not know where they are today, as I sold the black one over 10 years ago now... Richard
  13. LOL - yes mate; it's like Reggae Reggae Sauce.... So good you name it twice... That, and Lee is getting too slow in his old age...... Richard:cool:
  14. Heh heh - sorry mate.....

Hi Scottish members! I'd like to announce the appointment of a new Regional Events Organizer for your area. SandyZ and Mikey have stepped down so it is with pleasure that Vodkashots and I introduce zerocooldel (Del) as the new REO with immediate effect. On behalf of The Committee, I'd like to thank Sandy and Mikey for all their efforts to date; and congratulate Del on his new role within the club. Richard Smith Club secretary For The Committee
  16. On behalf of the committee, I would like to announce the appointment of zerocooldel (Del) to the role of REO for Scotland. SandyZ and Mikey have stood down from their joint positions and Del expressed an interest in becoming an REO; so the committee has given its backing to him taking on this position! So please join me in congratulating Del on his new role; and in thanking SandyZ and Mikey for their past services!! Nice work Del, thanks for stepping up - I'm sure you'll do a great job!! Richard Smith Club secretary For The Committee
  17. Very nice Supra mate - good luck with your new toy.... ...And why not buddy? Irrespective of the technological advances the Scooby has over the mk3 Supra, I know what I'd rather have - and it isn't a fooking Scooby for sure!! They are 10-a-penny chav-mobiles nowadays and do not look anything special on the road. Sure, a Scooby will no doubt own a Mk3 Supra performance/handling wise; but the Supra will look better in the process - much more exclusive, more pleasing to the eye; and no need to wear that baseball cap backwards to compliment your best track-suit bottoms whilst driving it... Richard:cool:
  18. Indeed.... You seem to do a great job organising meets in Scotland Del; so how do you fancy the REO position....? I know you'll have the committee's support mate; just drop me or Lee a PM and we'll sort it for you:wink: Richard:cool:
  19. Cool - great find Andrew!! So the Z32 came to our shores in April 1990..... Shame it was only a wee snippet..... Never mind; Janet Ellis was in the video - I always liked her whilst growing up...... Richard:cool:
  20. Cheers buddy - will wait to hear from you:cool:
  21. Does it mate? Unless you know it's been upgraded, it might not be!! See Andrew's post here.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?173906-I-m-not-used-to-this&p=1784918&viewfull=1#post1784918 Richard:wink:
  22. Sorry to hear that Mandy - as Gary says, it happens to us all at some point.... My one and only time was back in the very early 1990s; I was travelling up the M11 to Norwich early one Sunday morning to attend my cousin's wedding. It was a nice sunny day and the road was empty - needless to say I was not hanging around. Well into 3 figures, I spied a white Vauxhall Senator parked ahead in the distance, so I slowed down to 70 - just in case. Sure enough it was an unmarked police car - I cruised past at 70 but he pulled me over a few hundred yards ahead. It turned out he was playing with his new speed gun and had clocked me coming into view at 118mph; then braking to 70..... So he booked me for my average speed over 1/2 a mile (or a mile, I cannot remember) - 98mph. Phew - 3 points and a £60 fine. Take the speed awareness course if you can - if only to preserve your clean licence!! Richard:cool:
  23. With that power, I don't for a minute doubt its ability - I do, however, question the accuracy of the speedo in the on-road vid...
  24. As title - please see this thread.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?174350-NEW-REO-required If anyone in the SE is interested in the role please drop me a line before Christmas - if I have no takers, then I will have to consider merging the SE area with another.....! Thanks, Richard:cool:
  25. I had this emailed to me regarding Castle Coombe the other day - might be of assistance......:) http://us6.campaign-archive1.com/?u=54d56cf7feb46e7da741806fb&id=121806c7d3&e=97477057eb
