LakeZ 2014 entertainment - Midge Ure confirmed!
I think that's pretty cool Alex - although not as cool as if he were to turn up in a Z, of course:wink: I'll sadly not be in attendance at this one though - but enjoy; it looks set to be another great event!! Richard:cool:

bosch car battery vs exide
LOL - me, actually!! I bought a cheap battery from Allparts (or somewhere similar) for my old red ZX and it gave no issues in the years that followed! And on the subject of batteries, Julia's rav-4 still has the original one and it is knocking on 8 years old now...... It did have to be "rescued" by the RAC on Sunday though, as it had gone flat after a week of standing still and I drained it by starting it the once to move it around on the driveway....

E-mail on its way Mikey. And apologies for the direct approach on the open forum, but sometimes it is necessary to let people know the full reasoning behind committee decisions mate! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?173146-disgusting-im-out-of-here!&p=1775308&viewfull=1#post1775308 Thread closed now as it has run its course. Body shop needed
First and foremost, we do have a specialist trader on board for this..... Not local to you, but Boldy is BLOODY good - and I'm sure you could sort something re the travel distance. See Bodymech here.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?188-Bodymech Not sure about whether it's local for you, but Vijay is based in North London and might be able to recommend the chaps that did his car. Or Jason Farrow (Kent based) might suggest someone as well. Drop them a PM to ask! Richard:cool:

VG30DETT into one of these?
Great idea - and a big two fingers to the congestion charge as well.... Beats the weedy little 1.6 petrol that Nissan will be fitting in it. Still, good to see Nissan building the Taxi - providing it is made in Sunderland, that is..... Richard:cool:

What a load of crock.......
Quite right mate - I did imply in my opening post that it was still a subject up for debate! And I of course do understand that it is (allegedly) for the benefit of those living around the M1 with regards to reducing pollution. However, the M1 has been there for (50-ish?) years - just like Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted (perhaps not so many years re the latter), et al. At the end of the day, you pays your money you takes your choice; this is a small island with a good motorway network - it is unfortunate for those living on the side of the M1 (etc) but if the powers that be can see fit to make a futile gesture to try and improve the quality of life for those already living near the M1; yet still insist on blighting the quality of life for a whole new section of the public with a white elephant like HS2, there is something wrong! And that in itself is a good idea - it worked on the M25 in Surrey; hence it was extended into Bucks/Herts and onto other M-ways like the M42. And that particular section of the M1 does have the "managed" status already, I believe. However, just like with the M25 and M42, reduced speed limits are imposed during times of higher congestion; not a blanket 60mph limit from 7am to 7pm. And certainly not 7 days a week - early Sunday morning on the M25 and M42 sees the variable limit (and cameras) switched off; imposing a blanket 60mph limit when there is no traffic congestion is just not right.
