  1. LOL - no mate; I am not the biggest fan of them (the threads or the babies)....
  2. I have just seen this too - RIP Mr Button Senior; and my thoughts go out to Jensen and his family:cry: Richard:sad:
  3. Happy birthday Tom - have a great day mate!! Richard:cool:
  4. Cheers folks - I will pass your good wishes on to Chris.... Richard:thumbup:
  5. My nephew is currently in his last year of university studying sports journalism. Last week, he was on work experience at a publisher of 3 North London newspapers - and he got 3 of his articles published in the papers!! Nice work Chris - I'm pleased for you!!! Richard:thumbup: page 2.pdf page(1).pdf page.pdf
  6. Oh dear - sorry to hear that Draxan:sad: At least you are OK though; it could have been a lot worse. Good luck with your insurance claim, I hope it works out for you mate. Richard:clover:
  7. Welcome to the club Chris - and if it is the black car in Z32bolt's first picture, that looks a tidy car. Good luck with your new toy and hope to see more pictures when you have it.... Richard:cool:
  8. Sure is Si; nice work mate - and, as Steve says, it's only January. This is what the club is all about!!! Richard:thumbup:
  9. That's great news Graham; I have just told Julia that you and Julie are coming over for it - and she's happy to come along now. Result!! Richard:biggrin:
  10. Agreed - but can the claim not be made against the third party, instead of the insurers? And it does not matter that liability is not in dispute, the claim is to recover the full repair costs. The third party can therefore only challenge the extent of repair costs, and not liability itself - since they have already accepted it was their fault.
  11. Nice - glad you are having a great time in the Big Smoke!! I lived in London for 27 years and am so happy I live in the countryside now. But when I do visit London, it is for the Thames (can't beat the boat trip between Westminster and Tower Pier), The Tower of London (the best part of the city for me) and, even though I don't like shopping, Harrods..... I did go up the Shard last year though - expensive at £25pp but a fantastic experience. And any excuse to post a ZX pic.... Richard:cool:
  12. I know - and the engine bay could certainly use that - but I'm all for sitting in icy coolness come summertime....
  13. Good write-up...... But I'm with Gary on keeping it Dave! If you plan on racing the car, then fair enough. But if I was buying a high-spec GT car, even a 25 year old one, I'd expect it to have AC. But I guess I am too late saying that now..... Richard:cool:
  14. Cool - great prezzie Tony; enjoy....
  15. Heh heh - that's what I was thinking too. Either that or you have an N/A!! I have no doubt about 344 miles being achievable, but if it were me, I'd expect the tank to be almost empty.... If you did still have 1/4 of a tank left, that's bloody good going mate - I'm impressed... Richard:cool:
  16. Seconded..... It sure was a great day for Zedding yesterday!! I have actually taken the unprecedented step of leaving mine in the garage SORNed this month :scared: I normally keep it taxed all year round - but as I didn't take the Z on my New Year trip to Cornwall this time; I realized that I'd not actually be driving it much at all in January. Rest assured normal service will resume at the end of the month though - I will tax it for 12 months from 1 February and continue to drive it all year round......... .....Only 3 weeks to go......:hyper: Richard:cool:
  17. Very nice Kiff....... ......Whilst the sun is out up in this hemisphere today, it is barely above 0 degrees and frosty at the mo. Still, soon be summer..... Richard:cool:
  18. OK, so you and the third party are insured with Admiral - so either way Admiral is going to have to pay. I'd still consider the option of the legal expenses cover you have with your own policy; why not just instruct the legal department to issue court proceedings against the third party's insurers? They will not, effectively, want to sue themselves; but you still have the right to instigate proceedings against the third party, as it was not your fault! They will have to follow your instructions - and that might make them change their mind! In addition to my incident back in 2008, Julia had someone drive into the back of her Rav in 2011. She was insured with Admiral - and in that instance so was the third party. Admiral was pretty good then as well. They collected the car from our house and dropped off a loan vehicle (almost like for like - they just could not source a 4x4 at short notice near the New Year holidays); had it repaired and then returned it a few days later. Job was well done and her premium did not rise the following year...... Keep at it mate; there is hope and as a reputable company, I am surprised Admiral is risking damage to their reputation! Richard:clover:
  19. Yup - I noticed that Mandy......
  20. Good idea mate..... ....The crystal ones aren't bad - but if you are on a budget, you'd be better of buying a set of converted ordinary rear lights from Phutumsch. If he has any to sell that is... You could always ask JeffTT or Mark Derby if they have a 2nd hand set on a breaker, but they probably get sold very quickly. If you have decided to buy new, give Mike at MJP a call - he will probably be a bit cheaper than Zcentre; plus you'll be supporting a (very good) trader! Richard:cool:
  21. Me too - and I was when I got rear ended back in 2008. Admiral was very good then and had no problems with me having the car repaired at an MB main dealers (at the cost of £10k+); and they delivered a brand new Merc E320cdi to my house as a courtesy car.... Which I had for about 2 months in the end - fook knows how much that cost!! I think a lot of companies now impose an excess on windscreen repairs now; they certainly all seemed to when I was renewing back in September!! Good luck with the Ombudsman mate; I hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction. Richard:clover:
  22. Back on the subject of garages in the SE; both Jeff and Jimmer are about 100 miles from London - just in different directions! So either one is a bit of a trek; but still worth making the trip to either if you want the best care for your ZX. If you want someone a bit nearer, there is someone that MJP knows in Essex. I also believe that Gio has used them once or twice; drop either of them a PM and they'll tell you, as I cannot remember! Richard:cool:
  23. Welcome to the club mate - and good luck in your search for the right Z.... Richard:thumbup:
  24. Them were 't' days mate.....:wheelchair:
