Jaikai - Fall & Rise of my purple zed
LOL - on a lighter side, I have to agree..... But onwards and upwards Lee! You have a new Zed now - and you still have the old one from which to extract the best bits, for fitting to the Phoenix....... ......Good luck with the new project....:clover:

respray costs ?
Yup - agreed there mate! My uncle had one back in the 1970s when I was a child. Loved it.....

Christmas Madness
It is sheer madness...... And every year it gets worse - most probably down to the press and the retailers whipping everyone up into a sensationalised frenzy... Still, if the shops are full, then anywhere that you might actually want to visit for a nice day out should be relatively peaceful....

respray costs ?
Ask Funky Si - he's had his Zed resprayed more times that he has driven it..... But seriously though - I'd go along with what Richie K says. Plan on c£2k for a "resprayed" car - and c£4k upwards for a "factory finished" car. Although if the painter is worth his salt, then you can get a top job done for £2-£2.5k - just as Lee had done.

What did you do to your zed today?
I did that too - best way IMO, otherwise you'll pay almost as much as the spoiler again, in shipping etc! Mike did mine for around £230 to my door, it might take a few weeks longer but definitely worth it....

Petrol - good or bad
Having a UK spec car, I normally use "regular" unleaded anyway..... Although more for loyalty points, I stick with BP or Shell, as opposed to any other brand of fuel. I have used V-Power and Ultimate fuels - but like you say, there's little noticeable difference most of the time. But I do think my Zed runs better on the higher octane fuels on those odd occasions in summertime, when we get very hot weather. Say 26+ degrees....? Same with the Merc and Land Rover - neither car runs any different on "super" varieties; but for the occasional higher MPG between fill-ups.

What did you do to your zed today?
Yup - the lighting in my garage is too poor to do a picture any justice.... But here's one I took after cleaning it on a previous occasion.....
-
What did you do to your zed today?
I gave my Zed the wash it deserved, after using it almost daily last week...... ......It's now clean, shiny and tucked up in my garage.....

MeisterR owners - come forth and discuss!
Same here - and agree entirely!! The Meister Rs give the car the handling edge it needs; but without compromising on ride quality, thus retaining that GT car feel.....
-
Happy Birthday JJP
Many happy returns for yesterday mate - hope you had a great day!! Richard:thumbup:

Audi S3 8l wanted
Ditto.....

Hankook Ventus Sport K104's
Those..... Assuming you are still going for the Hankooks; they will most likely be the best match to the bargains you have already secured. I have never tried the brand myself - and not 100% sure whether I would - but it appears they have upped their game in recent years; and become the OEM fitting for a lot of cars.

TT or NA?
And it's a 4 wheel drive too - according to the advert; not to mention the leather seats that are so obviously tweed..... As above, it's a very, very rough NA and best avoided at all costs....:nono:

Still here.........just!
Bloody hell Daz - but good to hear you're recovering nicely and back at work!!! Take it easy mate - you only live once....:flowers::thumbup:
