  1. Wrong side mate! When I said right, I was referring to the driver's side:wink: I reckon it's the bottom hose, or the rad itself, as coolant pours out pretty much as soon as I pour it through the filler neck.
  2. Yup - thank you indeed Steve; this is always a great show! Sadly I'll not be there this year:sad: I collected the Zed from the garage today with new brakes and a brand new viscous coupling (thanks Z1) in place. And was hoping the coolant leak was fixed too - as the mechanic says all it looked to need was a couple of hoses tightened and re-positioned. Albeit he was not 100% certain...... ....However after a short run this evening, I got home and coolant is still running out under the right-front of the engine compartment. So I'm not using it over any distance of more than a couple of miles, until fixed. Sorry folks - but have a great day! Richard:clover:
  3. My nicely re-trimmed OEM steering wheel arrived today - and wow!! What a great job - thank you Simon; you're a wizard on that sewing machine mate:thumbup::bow: Richard:cool:
  4. Happy birthday Russ - have a great day mate! Richard:happybday:
  5. Eee-up, that Ah might....
  6. A very nice kit-car, based on a Jag XJ6; a DB7 Volante Vangate v12, a pre-WW1 Rolls and the landlord's 1967 Mini Cooper S, bored out to 1380cc and packing 100bhp. A pre WW2 Autin and a rather lovely 1988 Lancia Delta Intergrale, to name but a few... Like Craig, I'm not sure I'm ready to become a serious member, but I may pop along to the odd local breakfast meeting. Or evening at the pub...
  7. PMSL..... .....Err no, it's not what you think.... Honest....:oops:
  8. Julia and I popped out to our local pub for dinner this evening - nothing unusual there - however it turns out we have a small classic car club in the village that I never knew about....! .....And they happened to meet at the pub tonight!! The landlord is a real petrol-head - and he knows I have the Zed - so insisted (well, actually tempted me with beer) to pop outside after we'd finished dinner. And I am pleased we did. They are a nice bunch of folks; an eclectic mix for sure, but it was great to meet everyone and naturally I had to join the club.....
  9. I have tried a couple of Valet Pro waxes recently - and have to say I am impressed with both! Beading Marvellous is just that; and dead easy to apply/buff off Classic Gloss Protection is also a damned good product; but a little more work is required to buff it off Both can be purchased for £30 or less, so good value to boot...
  10. Hi and welcome to the club Dave! And for sourcing your mirror, you could do a lot worse than contact our trader, Baz, who specialised in second hand Zed parts....
  11. Cool - and have a good break mate! Richard:thumbup:
  12. And back on topic, thanks Steve..., yes - exactly that! The Z32 is a great car, we all love them because we have one - and these cars have souls, whereas modern machinery might as well be white goods. But the Z32 was designed in the mid-1980s and born just before the 1990s began. Stands to reason, some 26 years later, that a modern sports car like the TT should be better. It's progress!! I also agree that the "base" model TT is simply an appliance - but the TTS with 300bhp and 4wd is every bit the modern sports car with performance to match. Hell, forget the mid-4 seconds to 62mph, that one will crack 100mph in around 10. It would take a seriously modded Z32 to do that - although the Z32 will look better trying...
  13. Many happy returns old fella - I hope you have a great day Mark! Richard:happybday:
  14. And this one too.... I have very little of their music so I've just been busy on Ebay....
  15. Good call Si.... And definitely this is one of their best.....:punk:
  16. And driving home in the sunshine, with the roof down this afternoon..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0T1IVyXBGjM
  17. ...And this one eased me into my working day this morning.....
  18. I thought I'd start with a bit of The Cult today...... :punk:
  19. Hi and welcome Adam.... .....And good luck in your search! Richard:cool:
  20. Ahem....! I don't find them too bad at high speed TBH..... Then I still have the wind deflector on my UK spec, so maybe it lakes a difference. Either way, these hybrids are much better than my previous wipers when on the odd wet track... Yup!
  21. Good point Andy! I have seen the Evans adverts - but so far have resisted......
