At the risk of sounding like an old fart...
LOL - but yes, me too....! I stopped listening to Radio 1 about 30 years ago.... ....Today, it's Planet Rock or Absolute. I quite enjoy Christian O'Connell's breakfast show, but even then, he does stick a bit of Ed Shite-an on sometimes..... Absolute 80s reminds me of my youth; Absolute Classic Rock is OK too.

Pastures new
Since the 300zx is 2960cc, double that is 5920cc..... So technically, it could be something just under the 6.0....!

New addition to the fleet.....
I really liked the colour too - best choice for it, I think! Not sure why on the plastic arches though, possibly to avoid scratches to a vulnerable section of paint?? It does seem that all the latest Land Rovers have them now.... Thanks Gaz...

New addition to the fleet.....
It's been over a month now, but we have a new car in the household..... ....I liked our old Freelander 2, but Julia thought it was a bit too big for our needs. She has always preferred the Evoque so, at the end of Feb, I happened to see this nice coupe SD4 Pure Tech Auto for sale in our nearest Land Rover dealers - and promptly secured a good deal on it! After taking it on holiday last week, I am pretty impressed with our purchase. More to the point, Julia is extremely happy with her new toy......!! Plus I get to go on a Land Rover off road driving experience...

What did you do to your zed today?
Nothing today - as I was at work..... But over the weekend, I used my Zed each day for all the journeys I had to make..... Then I (finally) manages to remove the old locking wheel nuts after the key got mislaid a few months back - and replaced them with some nice new ones. This time though, I was sure to record the brand, type and key pattern number; just in case....

Waterless Coolant
Not worth it IMO...... Evans is the only brand I have heard of here - and whilst it sounds a good idea in principle, you'd have to be sure to flush the whole system. And I mean the whole system, to ensure there was no "ordinary" coolant left anywhere - as it won't mix well..... ....And then there is the cost! Plus, the on-costs if you ever have to replace any cooling system components in the future... You never know when a hose may need renewing. And not forgetting the next cambelt change, which may be long before the coolant needs replacing. Not worth it....! Personally I'd make sure my cooling system was working properly in the first place - don't neglect the viscous fan, as so many are going bad now, and it only manifests when sitting in prolonged traffic - and just refill with regular antifreeze. Replacing every 2 - 3 years...!

# 4 - what am I doing? Little build thread!
Try Land Rover, my friend.... Our (now ex) Freelander 2 had the upgraded Alpine sound system.... And its front speakers (plus those on the c-pillar IIRC) came with a little Alpine logos on the grills....!

# 4 - what am I doing? Little build thread!
Nice job Si...... .....I have the very same USB/AUX extension and was wondering where to mount it.... Initially, I was looking to "pop-out" the blanking plate on my auto-shifter; where the J-spec sport switch sits. But if I fooked it up, then I'd need a new shifter base. That's the perfect solution!! Thank you Mr Parsons...

No turning back.
These are pretty much my own thoughts too. I voted to leave; but purely because I think the EU has become a bloated, power obsessed gravy train for those who run it. They pretty much run the EU to benefit themselves rather than the state members; which is not what it was originally set up to do... Furthermore, in this country (as in every other EU member country) we vote every 4-5 years for our own government. And our elected government should always be free to pass its own laws and make its own decisions through Parliament. Whatever our MPs decide upon should be the law of the land - until they or their successors alone decide to repeal it later on. It should not be so, that an unelected body across the channel can over-rule a decision made by our democratically elected government (who ever that might be). Did I regret voting leave, once I realised that the leave campaign had won? Not really. Am I concerned about the future now article 50 has been triggered? Yes, a little - but purely because it is a step into the unknown. There will be some immediate, short term jitters. The financial markets may incur the odd blip. But in the main, I think the UK can do it - there are other trading partners out there besides Europe so I think we should roll up our sleeves and embrace it. Who knows, in a few more years, Germany and France may even abandon the EU as an entity; and just look towards trading agreements with the UK as opposed to wanting a "United States of Europe." That has to be better, no.....?
