  1. It's a clear choice for me..... ....The 240z started it all off; but it was the Z32 that really got me interested in the brand, marque and lineage. I am not saying that because I (as do we all) have a Z32; but that I chose to buy a Z32 because of the look/feel/car that it is....... Z32 all the way; be it SWB/LWB/Targa/slicktop/manual/auto..... As long as it's a twin turbo, for me at least, though...
  2. Many happy returns Oilman...... :happybday:
  3. Happy birthday Lee - hope you have a great day mate! Richard:happybday:
  4. My thoughts exactly....

Hi Kamil, I'm not a million miles form you - about 1/2 hour south on the M40. We used to have a Thames Valley region, but as membership dwindled, it was disbanded; so like me, you're between the Midlands and the south east. Check out the events and meetings section of the forum.... https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?90-Midlands https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?88-London-amp-The-South-East Otherwise, as Gary says, we have our main event and AGM at The Coventry Transport Museum in July - see here: https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?186666-Club-Annual-Meet-amp-AGM-2017-Register-of-Interest Richard:cool:
  6. Thanks for your support Paul; most appreciated mate....
  7. Hi and welcome to the club! You'll find all you need to know about the 300zx here - and some random things, you might not know you want to know, about anything else.... Richard:cool:
  8. My thoughts too.....
  9. Oh dear, oh dear indeed.....
  10. RIP Sir Roger - a sad loss indeed.... I almost agree - Pierce Brosnan was my favourite. But only just; as he could aspire to the wit of Sir Roger but maintained the action of Sean Connery. Thing is though, Sir Roger was THE bond of my era whilst growing up - and maintained that true English gentleman spy persona like no other. And for that, and what Simon said, he will always be head and shoulders above Sean, Daniel, Timothy and George..... Richard:flowers:
  11. Sad news indeed...
  12. Nicely polished up Gary... And those wheels would actually look nice on a 300zx....
  13. Very sad to see; and some nice cars lost there.... Hopefully no-one was hurt though - that's the main thing!
  14. Looks like you have your nice new C-class now Simon....
  15. Hi and welcome Jay..... Nice looking Zed you have!! As Andrew has mentioned, I'd wager the cutting out problem is down to a faulty PTU; it's a common fault and many of us have upgraded to the series 2 PTU. It was a recall in the USA, but not here, because the 300zx wasn't sold in sufficient quantities for it to be relevant..
  16. Excellent idea - have a great trip, mate....
  17. A sad loss to music.... RIP Chris......
  18. I seem to remember the lower powered car being more torquey......
  19. Thank you for your continued support Russ.... Richard:thumbup:
  20. Hello and welcome.....! As Andrew says above, a "30" grade of oil is going to be too thin for a twin turbo engine; once up to temperature. You'll need a minimum of a "40" grade..... Regarding the semi vs fully synthetic argument, Nissan did specify 10w40 semi originally; so nothing wrong with doing that. Some people have said fully synth is at best an unnecessary extra cost; or at worst, could give rise to leaking seals. Personally, I think that if fully synth had been more widely used in 1990, then Nissan would have specified that instead - so as it is a more advance oil, then why not upgrade? Always use a decent, quality brand - for semi synth, something like Castrol Magnatec 10w40. And for fully synth, Castrol Edge Titanium 5w40, Shell Helix Ultra 5w40... You get the idea - no cheap rubbish...
  21. Welcome to the club Fred...
  22. PMSL - very good.....
  23. Nice finds Gaz - that Z31 is indeed an awesome "time capsule" car....
  24. Very nice - good luck with the new toy Steve...:clover:
  25. Car Magazine is part of the Bauer Media Group - as Ben refers - and indeed highly reputable! Modern Classics is also one from their fold; and they are already familiar with Joel's car... Can't go wrong with either Joel's or Andrew's cars for a feature....!! LOL - thanks for that link Gaz... I just bought one...
