And there's another ultra-low mileage UK spec car knocking around - in red.... I remember seeing it at Jeff's a few years ago. The (then) owner was thinking about adding a lairy body-kit and the like. Luckily Jeff convinced him otherwise; seeing as the car was pretty special. The leather was just spotless - like it had just left the factory - and it even had a bit of a "new car" smell. So it should, considering it had only had 19k on the clock...:cool:

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, it is black... And was once owned by the Sultan of Brunai - the chap I bought my blue one from owns it now - he bought it about 9 years ago...:cool: It's a genuine car; I drove it when it was originally up for sale but (sadly) could not reach a deal with the seller. My loss was his gain:wink:

Good evening all, I'm sure we are all aware of Tom's sad experience at LA Autos by now; and everyone who has read his thread, knows that we gave Lee Dent until 5pm this evening to respond to the allegations against him - either by e-mail or in the open on the forum. It is with regret I have to announce, that Lee has not responded. In the absence of a reply - and in the face of further allegations form other members - the committee has reached its unanimous decision on what to do regarding Lee's future in the club. We had previously removed his trader's status, pending our decision; however since Lee has not come forward to explain himself, the committee feels we have no choice but to ban Lee Dent from the forums; for behaviour unbecoming of a respected and authorised trader. The ban will be recorded as permanent - but in accordance with club policy, Lee will be eligible to request his return after at 12 months from today. As we have said during the last couple of AGMs, it is never easy banning anyone; nor do we take the decision lightly. However we just cannot have any of our trusted, recommended, traders doing wrong by our members. If anyone would like to comment further, please do via PM to anyone of us. Thanks, Richard

The red one I was interested in a few years ago was indeed a UK spec; but it was normal, flat red. Probably AG2, as I seem to remember it was a J-plate..... And it was Steve's (Clint Thrust) car; that was around 2009 (I bought my blue one just afterwards). Steve withdrew it from sale - well, he told me it was sold, but he actually decided to keep it...:lol: Yup - 1st April 1990 here...:cool:

Put some nice bright Samsung LED bulbs in the reverse lights - what a difference!! I will post some pics after-dark very soon.....!! Then I gave it a nice clean - and clayed the bodywork and windows. After sitting idle in MXD's body-shop for two months, it was covered in over-spray from a red car James must have been working on......:sad: My clay-bar was a shade of vivid pink, once I'd finished...!!! Probably a waste of effort, considering the Zed is off to Dasstech's body-shop in a couple of weeks - but with my OCD, I just could not leave it like that....:wink:
