Great - very local then, we should meet for a coffee and a chat sometime....! We have a club stand at the Chiltern Hills Rally in May if you're interested. And to add a note from the organisers re camping...... Clubs can now book camping from the Saturday afternoon and there will be hot showers and toilets, but no electric hook-up. The price is £15 (plus booking fee) per pitch for 2 adults (children 15 and under are free). You can also book additional adult camping tickets if required.

We haven't heard from Mac1 in years - he's not been active since I joined the committee back in 2006-ish! The green one was Steve Turnbull; he was club sec before me - Steve worked for Nissan in Sunderland.... I can't remember who bought his Zed though.

And back to the plot, yes you're right mate - it's bloody awful 🤣

I'm surprised they could use the name - most car names are trademarked by the manufacturer.... EG Peugeot "owned" all 3-number designations with a zero in the middle - like 205, 406, 309 etc for years..... Allegedly that actually prevented Porsche calling their new sports car the "901" back in the day, so they had to go for "911" instead - and the rest is history.... Didn't stop Ferrari bringing out a 308 though😄

Our blue Evoque was coming up to 10 years and 72k miles old, so after a £600 bill from LR to replace one of the emissions sensors, I started browsing Land Rover Approved Used online...... .....And ended up buying this! 32k miles, 2 year Land Rover warranty, and this time I will be sure to do the half day LR driving experience😉 Plus it's the D240, so with its 240bhp it's pretty quick - 0-62 in just over 7 and 140mph tops😁Needless to say, Julia is pretty happy with it! We've had it three weeks now, and yesterday I finally got to give it a proper clean and a coat of Chemical Guys Jet Seal.

Looks a very nice example - I have been watching this on Ebay for a couple of months now......!!

Nice bit of nostalgia there Lee - thanks for sharing that with us! I can't believe I have been club sec for 20 years, let alone a member for 22 this June. Seems like yesterday...!!!
