  1. Just to let those know who are waiting to hear from Danny at the mo, he had to suddenly fly out to Holland on Monday for serious family reasons, he is back in the UK tonight and will see to all the PM's and emails etc. cheers smithy
  2. well that answers that then :D smithy
  3. Well the offset will work, though i thought the PCD on those was different to a Zed ? do you know the PCD ? should be 114.3 smithy
  4. No idea bud, won't know till nearer the time what with new sprogs an all ;) Just in case, how much is a local escort lady :D cheers smithy
  5. I'll go with the flow bud ;) cheers smithy
  6. Hi mate, what chip did yer run with those ? cheers smithy
  7. Well obviously 370's are of no use what so ever, the 440's being only 20% more flow not really worth the hassle either, so it's upto whatever they do next. I do know that a Zed my mate bought with these injectors in (550) ran crap, John dixon tried ages to map the car and couldn't get it right, he ended up with a map using less than 400cc to get it to run half decent. Fitted nismo's (555) in and ran a JD chip, soooo much improvement it was unbelievable ;) Mixed veiws on these from all the zed forums, with more slagging them off than there is actually happy to use them, so search before you buy! TBH mate, don't skimp on one of the most important areas of the cars running and performance, you won't really see nismo's second hand and even if you do, you should have them cleaned 1st, other lesser known and cheaper brands just don't have the right reputation. Danny can have you a set of nismos and matching chip in yer hands within the week ;) smithy
  8. Hiya mate ;) Didn't the new guy take it upto zedworld to get sorted in the end ? smithy
  9. Only if you have the 88mm ones, stock is 87mm, you would generally and should hone and deglaze the bores before fiting new pistons, hence 87.5mm ;) smithy
  10. Yes if you wanted to, once block is opened all can be assessed for you, i hear Jimmer is handy with a spanner ;) and most deffo for the parts from smithys place, you can get the 5 bolt down pipes there and price up the turbos ( though not listed), am sure you'l be taken care off :D smithy
  11. 5 bolts would be the only minimum turbo at attain 500 bhp bud, yes you can fit injectors later on if you wish, as labour for this isn't a great deal. Conrods arn't really required, bottom end parts are all forged except the pistons, so have the block checked out and fit new pistons, oil pump and the usuall 120k service items. 5 K would do all you need ;) smithy
  12. :D Seriously, when i clicked a members name it brought up someone elses profile, i tried 5 others and it happened each time, however a few mins later, all sorted ;) cheers smithy
  13. Geez that was quick, all fixed Seems there was a bit of moderating going on and things went a bit ski wiff there for a wee while, so ignore :D smithy
  14. Try clicking on any members username and see who's name actually pops up :p Anyone able to fix ? smithy
  15. Hi mate, Cazracing is a distributor of my products :) Anyways back on track, if you have no lightling at all then most likely it's the invertor, this unfortunately is the 1 component part that I always struggled to obtain, supplier in the US is sooooo crap, so in short, beingseen.com is the supplier, though am working on a UK supplier right now as I have no invertors left instock, so remind me in a week or so or email beingseen.com bud :) cheers smithy
  16. For 500 british bhp you need forged pistons bud. so basically a fresh rebuild with new gaskets, oil pump and 60k service items etc, again for 500 bhp you deffo need a 5 bolt turbo, the kit listed by z1 is a 4 bolt turbo and would scream it's ass of trying to attain 500bhp :), eprom is better sourced from a UK supplier too. If you don't want to go through all that, then the turbos, a chip, boost controller, decatt will see a very quick and drivable zed :smash: cheers smithy
  17. thanks for that mate, very helpful :) These are what am looking at and note it's a rubber upper mount an dnot solid, so should be a smoother ride, Aragosta Comfort Damper The Comfort Damper is perfect for the every day commute. With the adoption of the newly developed rubber mount, private attenuation power, and the fact that spring rate setting is adjusted, it removes the pressure impression from the road surface altogether. This suspension is superior even in silent characteristic. Free height adjustment is possible concerning the styling. - Comfort ride - Rubber upper mount - Forged aluminum cylinder - 12 step adjustment function cost approx £1300 cheers smithy
  18. I know absolutely sod all about spring rates Dave, :) but would you know what KG would be a nice comfortable ride ? Arrogosta have released a new coilover which is meant to be far softer to their norm, however i don't yet know the spring rates of them. cheers smithy
  19. Guy i bought my zed off 9 years ago paid 3.7k for a short block, so certainly big bucks for a complete newie :) I might still have a good spare, give us a call if you wanna chat, 07624-490098. cheers smithy
  20. Good to see positvie feedback about garage experiences mate, no matter who they are :) Zedworld have done me many a favour too  Peeps should look upon threads for just that reason, so ignore any childish piss takes bud, it's usually the same few anyways! cheers smithy
  21. DTA (traders here) can supply the full ferrodo-porterfield-EBC and Mintex range mate :) smithy
  22. dOHH, Am not used to seeing real names, so never thought of that! Sorry bud can't recall any dealings with him. smithy

With the numbers climbing quite steadily, a couple more weeks should see a healthy interest, maybe see what percentage of southern and northern members have said they will go and take the decision as to Calverton or Billing from that. Would be a shame if for example you picked calverton and not many Northerners went, if yer get me drift :) For me personally though, with what Billing has to offer in the grounds around, thats my choice, but will happily go with the flow :) smithy
  25. Certainly a start mate and an easy one too, good idea :) Retro, I think Marks problem is mainly a normal sale from the "for sale" section, however still an idea for the future. smithy
