What brake dics to get? R33 setuo
Not worth the bother mate, pretty much the same. GTR32 are only tiny bit bigger, so it's GTR33 and 34 only as a decent and bigger improvement smithy

You can't fit 350z discs with GTR Brembo calipers even though they are the exact same size disc as the GTR. Different offsetts mate. I always found DBA discs to be bob on tbh mate. I initially sold these brand of discs years ago because they had good reveiws on the GTR forums, here and across in Aussie land. Smithy

I won Baz :)
The Tein HA model is pretty much the older version mate and with a reputation for rust, so it might be worth getting them checked out once you get em. Tein in the early days did different models for the US-Japan and Europe market. Not 100% sure but think HA was mainly for Japan, i mean their roads not just cars. They then replaced HA with the SS version which is the more wildly known today. Just a thought before yer go wapping em straight on bud. Smithy

Dead injector na. Could I use set of tt ones
I think what Jeff means Gio is that he could maybe supply a tested N/A injector for 35 bucks. tbh whilst i've heard of injectors going bad in the past, it is generally only 1 and not really that often either. Luck of the draw I guess. Smithy

De cat turbo damage?
LOL Yeah that happens a lot here mate. This subject has been done a thousand times, so search may help or actually make it worse! for you to decide. I can tell you the reference made to the 2 turbo companies above is bang on, cos i used to sell turbo's for a few years and had worked with them a lot! smithy

De cat turbo damage?
All that said, the system was designed with a certain amount of back pressure within it. The catts maintained that back pressure. As turbo's wear with age and the back pressure once dramatically dropped by removing the catts increased this wear on the seals/rings. On engines with new or rebuilt turbo's, it does increase the wear rate, however being new parts etc, it just does not happen as quickly as on Zeds with stock turbo's. Turbotechnics some many years ago tried and it worked to a certain point, using a kit to try and maintain the pressure on the rings for the 300zx only. Turbo Dynamics then came out with the Stagger gap seal, again fitted to the 300zx range of turbo's they sold and these derived from turbo's used in high performance racing engines with turbo's that need reduced back pressure. In short, damage is the wrong word, increased wear rate is better. The newer the turbo the better and longer it will last, but the ring does wear quicker with no catts. Smithy

Check your insurance documents
I just tell them they are legal over here where I live and the car is registered and am a visitor over there, this usually works without too much fuss. Then when asked do your MOT station allow them, "Sorry officer, we don't have MOT's in the IOM" Can't say much to that eh lol Smithy

Check your insurance documents
Get this often now when i bring the Zed over, those ANPR machines don't register our Manx registrations so the actual reg comes up as invalid, add to that my plates are Black and Silver too, it all takes some explaining to do lol Smithy

Help finding 2.5" S/S Midpipe
Yep Leon has made quite a few systems now, so should require nothing more than a quick phonecall to see 1 in the post mate. Not aware of anyone else in the UK Zed wise that does em, certainly a few in the US though. Smithy

Zed goodies
Even subscribed members selling on a regular baisis or offering a service, should become Traders mate. After all it's a business to them, they make profit and the fees after time would by far be cheaper than all his Ebay fees. They also get to work more closley with customers and work on designing new ideas too. Can't remember the cost when i was doing it, but certainly worth it IMO. Smithy

Silver streak WTF???
Lol gotcha mate and to be honest i'd be the same, however English reg's over here are as about much use as a chocolate firegaurd, so that's out!! smithy
-
Silver streak WTF???
In fairness tho mate you know a great deal about it, it's history and previous owners and the you know the reg has always been apart of it, the new owner may not know any of this course and he sees it as a nice example silver Zed. Silver streak and it's name is well known to us and the longer standing members. smithy

Silver streak WTF???
Thought so mate, ta :cool2: In that case with no real value to the car itself and as it's wildly known Stu always wanted it back some day, don't see why when the car was sold that the plate wasn't retained and sold back to Stu for cheap as chips and re registration costs as a good will gesture! IMO of course.... Smithy
-
Silver streak WTF???
Did the number plate have any extra value to the car for the new owner or was it purely worded so that it would mainly be of Value to Stu?? Smithy

Whats easier?
Sorry i've never in over 10 years of Zeds ever heard of someone taking an engine out just to do a clutch swap! smithy

what are the different turbo AR?
48 seems too low to me, the difference between the manual and auto AR was only ever around 10 from memory. Smithy
-
what are the different turbo AR?
As far as i can remember it's 60 or 64 smithy

Whats easier?
Jesus mate not the engine, do box on it's own. It's not a real teccy job and any decent garage should do it for you, labour cost between 250 and 300 big ones. Smithy

Tire Size
Fella seriously if you wanna get this right, take off 1 front wheel and tell us the width size stamped inside the back, do the same at the rear, tell us the width's, the boys will tell you the best tyre size to suit, job done. Many many Zeds use staggered widths where the difference is only half an inch. Smithy
