  1. As for the radio wiring, heres a wiring diagram for the Zed http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=32202&d=1175904469 It's a Word document HTH & Welcome to the club Dave
  2. If it's any help, take a look through this thread I posted after I changed mine over >> http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=40209&highlight=perspex+panel If you go towards the bottom of the first page you'll see all the holes that are left after removing the standard spoiler. HTH Dave
  3. Yeah thanks Pete, still weighing up all of my options at the moment ;)
  4. Well I've just done the first part, I've re-subscribed :D
  5. Scrap that, I'm now re-subscribed ;)
  6. Hi Nick, just spotted this one ;) Sell it? No-one would buy it! Break it? Nowhere to break it! Crash it? Chance would be a fine thing, would be nice to be able to bloody drive it!!   KEEP IT? Yep, a distinct possibility!! :D  She'll be going back on the road sometime this year, all being well! ;)
  7. Cheers guys, much appreciated. I see you've now sold them Pete ;) It's looking like I'll need the complete set for the drivers side, as a 'repair' done a couple of years ago doesn't seem to have done the trick at all! But anyway, there is a more pressing job to sort first.... Jeff I will still be coming to yourself bud to get the turbo sorted :D just gota sort a few things out first!
  8. Afternoon all ;) A while ago I saw that ZedCentre were selling replacement rear wheel arch sections, well I no longer see them there, but have found these ones on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/300ZX-Z32-REAR-WHEEL-ARCH-REPAIRS_W0QQitemZ230324753262QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item230324753262&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318) I was wondering whether anyone else does them, or is this place on eBay the only outlet for such items? I'm sure this is a common problem sooner or later with our cars, especially for those owners who don't want to sell thier prized possesion! Any info appreciated :D  (Still working on ways to have Eliza looking her best again!;) )
  9. 2 and a half hours!!!!! What the **** was he doing for all of that time?? It's four bolts to the wall, hang dish, run cables and clip to wall, drill hole through wall, run round room and connect to Sat box, then using a very simple electronic box, you adjust the dish to the best position! I understand that some people simply don't know/want to do it and that's fair enough, but for an installer to take 2 1/2 hours is taking the piss! As for free sat, there are a number of differant forms of it about..... BBC/ITV do FREESAT ( http://www.freesat.co.uk/ ), SKY does it's own version aswel ( http://www.freesatfromsky.co.uk/ ) and there are a few Euro sats that you can pick up with the correct equipment
  10. He didn't do much drifting on his second lap!!
  11. Here you go >> http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=97871 HTH Dave
  12. 'A pig to work on' - Depends in what context, I've never had any major issues with this particular car compared to any other I've worked on before, and I'm no mechanic either. 'Cooling problems' - Nothing I'm aware of, it's like any other car, if you don't treat it right, it'll let you down, but that's the same for anything. There is an on-line buying guide here somewhere, I'll see if I can find it for you..... be right back Dave
  13. Thanks guys for your input, it's all appreciated. The CD's are the correct way around (to the best of my knowledge) but then it wont eject now anyway so I can't change them anyway!! As far as I remember I did set the angle plate to 0 for the first one, couldn't say for certain for the second unit, although it was held flat for the test. I'll check the second one and see what it is set to. I've also posted this same post on MG-Rover.com and only got one reply, of which wasn't any help. I also posted on there requesting any info as to where it should be mounted (as I'd read conflicting information) when I first started with all this, and got no help whats-so-ever!! And that was in the section especially for ICE...... Not a very helpfull place at all.
  14. Yeah, very weird! I think I'll have a word with my local (Ex) Rover dealership (now Kia!) and see if there is a technician there (who worked in Rover days) who might know something (maybe a known fault/symptom!) Thanks for all of you help/time on this Mario  Dave
  15. Hi Mario 1 of mine is the XQE100230 and the other is the XQE100280 (as far as I can tell, they are both the same unit) Thanks for all of your help bud Dave
  16. No sign of a reset button. I've also checked the service manual and no mention of anything there either This really has got me baffled!
  17. Thanks Mario, I'll have a look at the reset button tonight when I get home and see if that helps. I also thought I'd of been very un-lucky to have to sets of duff stuff. The short lead from the changer has a 13 pin round plug on it. TIA Dave
  18. Oh, forgot to mention, it wont let me eject the cartridge either!
  19. No question is ever silly, just the answer ;) I placed them picture face up and silver down to the plate, as far as I know that should be the correct way :(
  20. Afternoon all, :D I've recently tried to fit a CD Changer to my Rover 220. I have the (OEM) R770 head unit and obtained an OEM (Alpine) changer complete with the full bracket and cable for mounting in the boot. Once it was all fitted properly I tried it out and got a 'CD Error' message on the display! To cut a long story short, As it had only cost me 99p + P&P off eBay I wasn't too worried as it had come complete, so I found another one also on eBay and bought that. This one came with the mounting bracket and cable for under the passenger seat. Firstly I plugged it into the boot location and tried it, this also showed 'CD Error', so I tried it with the new short cable in the front of the car, and it still showed 'CD Error' (I also tried the original changer with the short cable and got the same) So this time I got hold of another R770 head unit and tried again and still got the same 'CD Error' message So now I've got; 2 x R770 head units 2 x OEM CD Changers (complete with front and rear brackets) 2 x Cables And I still get 'CD Error'!! Am I doing something wrong? Does the changer have to aclimatise (sp?) to the car before it'll work? Anyone know anything about Rover ICE that can help, will be greatly appreciated, as this is starting to do my head in! TIA Dave
  21. I've been using Nero 7 for ages now, but downloaded 'converxtodvd' yesterday and it works a treat. Unfortunately you have to pay for it (well you're suppose to ;) ). It's still a little complicated if you want to start messing around with it, or you can just leave it with default settings and burn away!
  22. I got home a short while ago, 20 miles in total, not one single car in front (or behind) of me and only about 10 came the other way! And thats the A607 between Melton Mowbray and Grantham, normally at that time of the evening the road would be relatively packed!
  23. No Stu, not any of my work, just spotted them on the way back to our office
  24. Thats the problem with not being Subscribed at the mo, I can't edit ;) Hi Dan, yeah I'm fine thanks bud, hows yourself? Another pic I've just taken after taking the machine off-site :D
