  1. Just thought I'd post this ;) As I was outside today washing the Rover, I thought it was a good chance to strike Eliza up and see how she is. But considering that I haven't struck her up since at least October I wasn't holding much hope out for the battery. Well once I'd tightened the battery connection (a bit loose the first try) Eliza struck up without any problems what-so-ever! I'd checked coolant and oil levels first (just in case) and found no leaks anywhere. Once she was running I got the electric 'foot pump' out and inflated both rear tyres, as soon as that was complete it was time to move her around the car park so as to remove the rust on the brake discs. Slipped her into reverse, released the hand brake and she started to move effortlessly! It really is a huge shame I can't take her out onto the road at the moment, but I'm so glad I haven't sold her either. As soon as money permits I'll have her down at ZedWorld and have the boost problem sorted. Then I'll have her back on the road ASAP :D A big thank you to all those who have supported me in this. Dave PS-Yes I am only registered at the mo, but money is tight and I see absolutely no reason currently to re-subscribe
  2. Quite simply you'll fall foul of the MOT regs when you next go = FAIL! Also if your intention is to put out enough light to blind oncoming drivers, may I suggest that you give up driving because I think that's disgusting!
  3. In that case then, you'll have to convert it to individual pictures and post them, sorry bud I don't know any other way round it. Dave
  4. Steve, You can upload a .ppt powerpoint presentation up to 1.93Mb in size using the Manage Attachment section of the post window (same as a photo) Although, not having done it myself, I don't know how it'll show up on here. HTH Dave
  5. Yep had both front and a rear bumper in mine aswel (not at the same time)
  6. Check this out for location of units >> http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=26120 PTU change, 4 x bolts plus 2 x connectors Coil-Pack, 2 x bolts plus 1 x connector Changing a coil-pack connector or sorting a brittle loom will be a bit more involved, depending what is wrong, but look for 'Green gundge'!! HTH Dave
  7. You missed one David, how about a split rubber around the spark plug? Happened to mine, so got a new coil-pack and that sorted it
  8. Check this one out, it may be of use to you. Although it's not a genuine one, you'll have major probs finding a genuine one though. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/12-volt-DC-inverter-for-El-wire-strip-tape-panel-sheet_W0QQitemZ110309073117QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Electronics_Parts_Accessories?hash=item110309073117&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
  9. No, the strip is either specially built with the brake lamp, or is simply a straight run through, if you see what I mean.
  10. I'll post a link as soon as I can, but don't currently have access to my links. Unless someone else does in the meantime, I'll post it when I'm back home, which'll be tomorrow evening.
  11. The 'Box' (Inverter), inverts 12vdc into 110vac, so it may buzz or it may not. My genuine one doesn't buzz, but the one I had on my illuminated door sills did, so it's not really a problem. As said, the Green illumination is provided by an Electro-Luminecent panel within the centre panel. Genuine ones were supplied in Green (although there are rumours of genuine Red ones on the later spec cars) but you can build them up yourself with a lot paitence, struggling and a lot of care. HTH Dave
  12. This is the type I got >> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Interior-Light-Time-Delay-Adaptor-fades-Interior-light_W0QQitemZ370143849921QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item370143849921&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Another type >> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Time-Delay-60-sec-Interior-Light-Dimmer-Brand-New_W0QQitemZ330299471984QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item330299471984&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

  14. Welcome from South Lincolnshire
  15. I work for Serco :D In their train testing sector, based out of Derby. Been with them for four months now, and they seem no worse than any other company I've worked for, in fact I'd say they were probably the best I've worked for!
  16. Glad Jeff has sorted you out...... But don't you have recovery on your AA plan?
  17. It goes without saying from Karen and myself bud....... All the very best for you bud

  20. Hi Daz, nice to see you're enjoying the weather!! And you thought the bucket and spade was for the beach
  21. Looked a LOT like this.... I do believ they were from ZCentre
  22. Vuze is a bit hungry, and I do have utorrent aswel. DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink work fine, but may not decrypt the latest anti-piracy software on some DVD's, whereas when I bought my version of DVDFab it gives me unlimited updates for life (something it no longer does, without subscription) K-Lite Full, a very good download (but check your download with anti-virus before you open it!)
  23. Apparently he was also driving like a tit!!!
  24. In short - NO! That's a mechanical version, the other is all electric motors and stuff!! ;)
