Came up from leicester this morning just before 7, M1 was disgusting as was the A46, loads of idiots driving past me! Then I've been out working in the snow, bringingan on-track maching into the test track, loads of fun trying to get the points to work properly :D

I've had issues with FireFox on my laptop in the past so I no longer use it. I'm currently using Safari and am finding it quite good so far, although there are some issues with it as well... ie; I can't copy & paste within the same window, and it wont continue to certain log-in windows.

Been snowing around here since early yesterday afternoon! Quite a while ago I produced and posted a Fog Lamp FAQ in the FAQ section. Does anyone know where it's gone? Any links that I have posted no longer go anywhere. Does anyone know if it's been removed for a specific reason? If so why? I was under the impression that it was usefull to the members on here :confused: Dave

Yeah, I've broke it!!! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: That's an old pic now, I've since had the chrome rings put around that and it also has the red illumination. She's been off the road since last April, so she's gradually gone down hill since then :(

Just a couple of pics.... One showing me whilst in the cab of a Pendolino, and the other while we were performing Air-Con intake testing for Loco-Hauled situations. And for any train buffs, that is a class 57 (57301 - Scott Tracy) Thunderbird, with 'special' injectors to produce extreme smoke.

Look very nice they do. But don't they need some sort of a filter on that turbo? :confused:

OK, I'm going to be controversial here and say, apart from the ugly styling, you've got to admire that someome has put time and effort into building that up! The build quality looks well done and theres nothing wrong with the colour either. Saying that I do agree, with our culture here in the UK, it is a chav mobile! And at the end of the day there is always peer presure within the community that you grow up in. (Sits back and waits..........)

When I say 'my own' it's not exactly Mine! But it is private, and nothing to do with NetworkRail. It's a fully operative railway test facility (the only one of it's kind in the UK! Google Old Dalby for info) As for stock when I was working there from 2001 to 2006 we were testing/commissioning the Virgin Pendolino fleet for Alstom, until they made me redundant. But now I'm back and working for Serco and we have a whole new fleet of Sub-Surface Line TFL trains coming from Bombardier (and that's all I'm allowed to say due to the Official Secrets Act! No seriously that's true!!!) I'll post some pics tomorrow from my office PC
