Red Dwarf returning to our screens!
It's funny you should say that, as I was watching 'Comedy Connections' on Dave the other night, and it was the one on Red Dwarf and it implied that she was only brought in as a female role so as to 'Up' the stakes for a go-ahead for the movie! (which obviously never happened!)

Ideas for a cheap, economical car?
I'm running around in a Rover 220SDi, which is a 2.0Ltr Turbo Diesel (43 mpg mixed) mines on a 99 T plate, but you could get a newer one. It's not too bad either with 105 bhp, and surprises a lot of people who just think it's a 1.4 crap bucket (it's actually a 2.0 crap bucket!! ) It's got a lot of design flews, but at the end of the day it's comfy and quick/econimical, so as a daily hack it'll do me for my average 300 miles a week.

Yes, that's the testing people, based near Nuneaton. They were spotted on the security camera at the main gate as they were entering site....................

Red Dwarf returning to our screens!
I've just noticed something in the New pic above, the computer screen rear left of frame, displays "MALFUNCTION, MAINFRAME UNABLE TO REBOOT" so that means no Holly/Hilly then (Norman Lovett/Hattie Hayridge)!

Rear spoiler
Contact the seller and ask him! TBH I'd of thought why find a different one when one would be already on the car, so why would the original manufactuer of designed it with a different one? (if that makes sense?)

Damn Car!!!!!! what on earth is up with it >.<
Morning, hopefully you are a little more rested now, so a fresh look on it :D From you description it sounds very similar to what I had just after I bought mine.... On mine it first did it at very high revs and under a lot of load, but as time went on, as I couldn't find the problem, it started doing it more and more. Now each spark plug has it's own Coil-Pack (sorry for stating the obvious here ;) ) and each Coil-Pack is about 6 inches in length, most of which is made of rubber. Now if any part of this rubber splits it has the potential to Earth out your spark at any point. Eventually as I was checking the spark plugs one day I just happened to notice that the rubber on one of the Coil-Packs had a split in it's length and was burnt around this split. I got hold of another one and never had the problem again!! Like yourself I'd looked at various threads to find similarities and had even changed all the Coil-Pack connectors (most had snapped anyway), injector connectors, PTU and had checked almost every other component in the engine bay. So in short CHECK ALL OF YOUR COIL-PACK RUBBERS!!!!!! :D HTH Dave

Anyone help at all with facilities??
Garage? Me? Nope, although I did post a picture of Eliza sitting inside a huge 'Garage' a couple of years ago, but that was the works unit, and I no longer work there (actually the building in which my office is located is about 100 times larger than the old place, but it's got a couple of trains in it, so I doubt I'll be able to use it ;) ) Doncaster is about 50 miles away from here, so thanks for the offer and I'll see how my discussion goes with yassa's mechanic tomorrow, and get back to you

Need help... my brakes are done
Whether you refurb yours or a used set, it's a straight forward job to do and should only take a few hours and that's taking your time. Mike at MJP supplied me with all the bits to do mine and they weren't very expensive at all. And why would you need to replace your discs? Unless they are badly worn, leave your old ones on Dave

Z1 copy my Stillen SMIC???
Personally I'd contact Z1 first, as they are who supplied yourself, and inform them that you are not happy with the supplied product. And then work from there, if Z1 state that it's a genuine article, then contact Stillen and see what they say. That's the way I'd do it. Dave

Z1 copy my Stillen SMIC???
Did Z1 advertise it as genuine Stillen with 18 rows? Or their version of a Stillen design? If it's supposed to be a genuine version, then I'd suggest you contact Z1 and argue the toss direct with them, as that's the only way you'll get it sorted. HTH Dave
