Clear indicators Jap spec
Searched but couldn't find what I was looking for. I want to swap out the original Jap spec indicators for the clear ones. Any issues? Do the clear ones screw in the same way to the Zed bumper? The bulb holes look slightly different on the ebay ones I've seen. These are mine:- ta Chris

Boost controller - chip needed?
How do you explain the advantages of a re-map to a woman with 2 black eyes? Don't bother, you've already told her twice.....................

What Chip u Runnin.
I've not noticed anyone really stating the pro's and cons of a re-map and or boost controller. Is it possible to achieve better mpg in Safe mode and then much better grunt in Ballistic mode? Thinking taking mine to the Nurburgring in August and 40 mpg there and back would be awesome........................ 8mpg on the Ring though!

Boost controller - chip needed?

Boost controller - chip needed?
A million posts I know - read a lot of them, but..................... Simple Q. Want to fit a boost controller for my 300 TT. Want Economy (larf) Normal - and Ballistic. Some people say get a re-map first. Not sure if that is necessary in all cases? Say if I got a Profec B II. Would that need a chip before hand? Any offers? cheers Chris

Someones pinched the wheels and replaced them with Argos ones!!- NEC Classic Car Show
Went along as a visitor and not an Exhibitor this year. It was nice to get around all the trade stands, tools and gadgets which I normally miss. Usual high class displays of cars from many decades and at least 2 centuries. Not much Jap stuff, a few Toyotas, a 350Z, no Zeds as such. A great place to go if you have bucks to spend as many classics are for sale. 5 halls filled with desirable stuff, although less people there on Friday I fancy this year. A 300zx stand would definately be a good attraction at the show - most people I meet haven't got a clue what my car is - so they've been anonymous for too long it seems. Maybe club chair can consider this an an option for 2008?- Bloody Police!
Number plate sizing, spacing of letters etc became a big issue when the camera technology frenzy began. They standardized fonts, colour, background to accomodate the cameras. So as not to miss a fine you see. I had a spacing issue on my front plate - one letter was 1cm out of place and I got a warning letter to the effect that:- 1. It was illegal 2. Number plates must be legible for identification 3. Witnesses must be able to recognise a vehicle number plate. So I asked how they managed to send me a letter if my plate was 'SO' illegible? Didn't get an answer.- NEC Classic Car Show
Well, the Capri 280 was a modern classic around 13-13 years of age. I have shown mine at NEC. I hired 2 stands last year at 375 a slot. I guess if there was enough energy it could be done. There's no-one to tell you that you can't show your Zed - it qualifies in terms of age I think. Hasn't got to be a Club thing but it helps if there's an official stand. Up there on Friday - will have a gander.- Best use of the blanking area?
Was that a question, or a statement or just casting scorn upon my comment?- NEC Classic Car Show
Does the 300zx Club do anything at the NEC CLassic Show? Or has anyone here ever shown their car? I assume they rate as a classic?- Z1 brake upgrade
Z1 wants $230 to ship plus 342 for the kit - that's $572 plus whatever Cutoms and VAT man want from you this end - not such a clever deal now I suppose??- Best use of the blanking area?
How do you manage to post without the Internet dude? Awesome!- Best use of the blanking area?
The only thing with Sat Nav - is that it really ought to be as near eye level as possible - otherwise you divert your attention away from the heads-up position for too long whilst checking your route. Almost the same as 'looking for a CD' etc That could be deemed a bit 'careless' or 'dangerous' in the event you have a prang. You'd never prove you weren't looking at your maps instead of looking forwards. (unless the unit was switched off). Just a thought.- Best use of the blanking area?
You mean Sat. There's no room for the Nav in that small orifice!- Best use of the blanking area?
Yeah seen those - not what I want though. Maybe I'll stick another radio in so I don't have to alter the settings on the top one? AM below and FM on top - cor, and there I was struggling..............- Best use of the blanking area?
thanks Joel some good ideas there.- Z1 brake upgrade
Agree - when the bottom line pans out there won't be much in it. About 4mm bigger discs and when they wear out?? Local is sometimes better if not a tad more expensive - some UK firms think the US Dollar is a straight swap with the GBP !!!- Best use of the blanking area?
Andy thanks - but I know - it's sitting in my garden being photographed very hurriedly!! Mind you I have to put my CDs in upside down - better check to see if I'm on my roof.................- Z1 brake upgrade
Z1 kit inc pads but not calipers is 342 gbp plus shipping from US.- Best use of the blanking area?
