Best bulbs for that ice-blue Xenon look?
Thanks - but I was thinking maybe just upgraded main beam bulbs instead of a full HID kit for mains? Is that possible - Xenons or something that will at least be better than the candles that are currently there?

I hate to say this but my vRS Octy would run rings around a Zed in the wet and damp. I'm still unsure of the slight over-steer efect of the HICAS system - and the RWD of the Zed is not as re-assuring as the FrontWD of the Skud. Still, if Michael Schummi drove it he'd say 'what problem do you mean in the wet?' Something to aim for then??

Again - excuse my lack of knowledge - but do these HID kits work as a full high beam dipped beam unit - or is it only dipped beam on HID and you revert to the pathetic yellow main beams ?? I think dipped and main OEM lights are not up to the job. If I want to 'enhance' main beam also but not go down the HID route for main beam what's asuitable upgrade bulb that won't blow fuses, melt glass etc?

Winter Driving?
Depends which track, what day and whether it's a Gold Track Day or a normal track day. Gold Track is about 200 a day but you get open pit lane and you're only in one of about 2 or 3 groups. Done Silverstone, Brunters, Castle Combe, Hullavington, Donnington and Nurburgring. I'll post up some details when I decide - maybe a Group Zed Day?? cheers Chris ps already got my mate with his Zed, a new Type R and poss a Beemer coming with me - just need to tie a date down

Winter Driving?
So far I am treating my 'new' Zed with caution - I feel 100% in control with my Skoda vRS at any speed in any situation - it's awesome and I'll miss it like mad when it goes next Saturday. I'll be Track Daying my Zed soon to see what the break away points are - before good Ol Jack Frost appears................

One of many things we were taught on the Advanced course was - always treat the approach to and exits from a filling station with huge respect - as all diesel and petrol spills remain on the tarmac waiting for a sucker biker or car driver to spin out. If you notice any corner or bend within 300 meteres of a filling station will have those tell-tale streaks of 'wet'. As a surving biker of many years I watch those like a hawk. Trucks chuck any overspill out either side of petrol stations. No traction cotrol, ESP, or ABS will be of slightest use to you. Just a mobile phone and some disinfectant. Just "Add water to taste" :mac1:

Well.....It Finaly Went Bang!!!!
I always thought Auto's were the way to go when buying as it was a fair assumption that the car hadn't been thrashed to death re box, clutch, motor??

Well.....It Finaly Went Bang!!!!
Funny thing - my Autobox - when reversing out of my driveway from cold - tends to be 'lumpy' it's like a slipping clutch effect - then it seems to clear and it's fine all day. Would low fluid or something else cause that? It's done 55000 miles. Don't want to hijack this thread but all the autobox guru's will read this for sure!!

Excuse my higgorance but what do you mean by boxes? cheers Chris

Speakers
I think there's room to elongate if necessary but I'd rather a straight swap. The size of speaker is not as important as a non-distorted sound - with emphasis on bass from the rears.
