Noisy lifter/s
That sounds about right, have you removed and soaked/cleaned before or anyone, and of course has it worked. ie: silent engine, no more noise.

Noisy lifter/s
My engine is out of the car at the moment, changing injecters and turbos. Question: Best (and money wise) way of curing noisy lifter/s ? I wondered about just removing/cleaning ? or bite the bullet and buy all new ? Any help advice appreciated.

If you check/change centre bearing remember the UJ's thats what went on mine, and they are fixed ones (not meant to change) aswell! With the prop off wriggle around to see/hear if smooth moving.

speed reading to ecu
Its a strange one, my speedo works but i figure the signal is lost somewhere onto the ecu. Car started life as a auto but now manual with hicas removed. Car dosen't like going pass 6,500 revs, dies competely for a second (just before i'm about to change gear, if im driving hard), but much sooner in 5th. Boost to .9 bar with lots of aftermarket chips but fine with jwt !? Was wondering if this is my problem. Think the best thing is just to find the wire/s in question ?

speed reading to ecu
When i drive with the conzult on i never get a speed reading output. Question: Does anyone know if this would affect mapping or anything ? Doesn't the ecu need to know what gear your in (by speed input?), and if so would this affect performance ?

yellow zed andover
Saw a smart yellow zed about to turn onto the avenue about half 8 this evening. Anyone local? I was in my silver pick-up.

different thermostat?
I think your talking about the earlier opening stat (nismo) to run cooler, if your fitting 'koyo' rad i wouldn't as they run much cooler anyway. Ofcourse if you have an after market gauge just keep an eye on it and go from there. Running 80-90c i think is best, so nismo stat may hold you under.

Engine mounts

NZR - low voltage light transformers
If your talking household ones they can be a pain sometimes. I've fitted lots and some just fail but mostly to hot, so careful where you mount them. Your one is no more than 60w, i would fit 50w bulb. I may even stop installing them and only fit the mains downlighters.

ECU swap
I'm pretty sure an auto chip is ok in a manual but not the other way round.

Poss wheel shake solution
I've heard our cars have a knack of wheel nuts coming loose ? I always give mine an extra turn just to be safe. Dont the wheels need to lock around the hub so they cant move side to side then the nuts to hold on tight. If spacers on maybe thats the problem, only guesses mind.

Poss wheel shake solution
If your running 19's most get buckles before long, did you see them spinning in the balance machine.

Oil temperature
Theres a spare nut above the filter you can use.

Any kitchen fitters about?
Take your time and your probably be fine. run a few passes cutting with the router (dont cut the worktop in one go), stick duck tape over the cut (on show). You dont have to use a biscuit joiner. Router in bolt points to the under side brush some pva (glue) to both surfaces (help hold the two stronger together). Same if you have any end edges, trim close to what will be finish size, pva and hot iron on, then duck tape till next day remove and file finished curve dead on.

Any kitchen fitters about?
As 'pk1' says i use a biscuit joiner aswell with neat pva bushed on. The main thing is having the right tools and i use a purpose built bench.

new wheels
Isn't the lower no.offset brings the wheels outwards!? I run 30 offsets all round and love them dead on the arches, so i don't understand the need for spacers.

A few thanks due...
Thats goin to make a big change to road holding, same as me plus more, i haven't got the lower arms front/back. My advise get a good 4 wheel set-up and make sure you get the caster right. I ran a year on lower caster figure due to rubbing the front arch (still not sure why), sorted now, and a big different. Cornering will feel really nice, enjoy.

Squek wipers
I had loads of noise from my wipers front and back, and just ordered genuine ones a year or so back and not a whisper since. Maybe i was lucky then.
