  1. You have checked the starter motor is bolted up tight and not shaking around underneath
  2. clutch release bearing thats what i was thinking, but would of been changed at the same time surely
  3. this is very similar to the problems i have. I just keep unbolting it (ecu) and fitting again intill my conzult (laptop on pass seat) notices it ie: red light out. Thats why i want to try and help but dont know the answer. I was told to arm and un arm alarm so dont know if thats anything to do with it. I changed a chip last weekend and it took me 3 hrs intill i had it right ie: no light on and no error codes (and no aux fan) It does my head in why, just sharing incase it helps in some way.
  4. it does look very nice
  5. electric for me and i have koyo, removed air con/rad. Couldnt get up to normal temp with standard fan. Perfect, but still not too sure on boiling hot days (not that we get many) Oh i have 'ashspec fan & shroud'
  6. screamers on our cars dont sound too bad imo, and of course you only hear them pass your max boost level
  7. that sounds about right
  8. crank pulley has/needs a small locking key that fits with it then bolt up. I would undo it and check the grub key (think thats what its called) is there first.
  9. I noticed SPL parts sell a high flow thermostat claiming to flow better
  10. Not sure on the bypass was done for me but looking just under the plenum i have some open small metal pipes. Maybe im lucky my rad (if i lost lots of water doing maintance) sort of self bleeds, when i think its full i slowly see blows coming to the top and refill again (while cold) and always keep the top up bottle with plenty of water. Then the next day (after a good drive) undone rad cap and pressure is there. I just have a feeling its your stat, if it was me i would prob have a drive with it removed and monitor temp.
  11. have you done water bypass, that helps bring the temp down abit
  12. and check the aux fan is working, on mine i test it with the conzult low/high speed to show it works (not that that means it would click in over said temp when needed but would hope so)
  13. I would take the thermostat out, stick it in jug of hot water and check it opens and what temp first off.
  14. Sounds like the electric (back up) fan to the front of the rad. I've had that if i dont fit the ecu back in a set way (thats odd i know). maybe you need to un bolt unit and large connector and bolt back, worked for me. Maybe on yours it got abit wet from the car wash (dont know).
  15. If they are ball bearing then im sure you need the restrictors inline being garrett turbos and if i remember right Z1 sold them with the right lines
  16. Stillen anti rolls and crabing to the tops all front and rear (from spl parts) very good change over IMO
  17. Just to finish this 'greddy' finally got back to me again saying 3mm. Which now puts my mind at rest.
  18. Ohh just got an email back from 'Greddy Performance Products' Thank you for your interest in Greddy Products. We apologize for the delayed response, we are experiencing email issues. It is recommended that the turbos oil feed be restricted. If it is our kit, then the kit came with restricted oil lines. Therefore you are fine. Waiting again now as i emailed back for the size

Im back on the road so about time i came to a meet.
  20. Feel better now just got a email back from a turbo company i was told to contact: Hi chris On the greddy units (which are made by Mitsubishi) you do not need to run an oil restictor. Only on the Garrett ball bearing turbos where the oil pressure is above 60 psi will you need to run a restrictor. Regards and i phoned to check what if i put restrictor in and he said it wont do them not good. Just glad i dont have to lose any skin off my hands trying to sort them!
  21. Incase your interested i have nismo 555's done 70 miles and tempted to up to 740's , got big turbos fitted. So could sell them cheap for you, just an idea
  22. I just found website and emailed them, good job i havent turned the boost up yet till i know! so many things to get right with these cars. Shes back on the road and i so want to keep it that way
  23. More worried ! Just need to find out how to contact them
