  1. As first job of the national events organiser i need a couple of regional events organisers. Your club needs you ;) If you are a subscribed member in either of these areas and you feel you can make a difference and arrange local meetings please PM me. The regional event organisers are a really important part of the club!! without meetings we are just an internet site. Next year i hope to put together a range of events over the year and need the help to make this happen so if you have what it takes please let me know. Cheers Mike
  2. I think my dad was putting around 4 bar through it  so i suppose all the other connections are really good for not leaking :smash:
  3. Steady on please guys!! keep this on track please No more snidey remarks Mike
  4. Just got off the phone to steve simpson at teg in carnforth and he thinks he can do the 7th november but is checking dates as most his weekends this time of the year has him mapping WRC cars around the world LOL he is calling me back to confirm a few dates Watch this space :) Mike
  5. i think they can suffer headgasket problems so make sure its nice and cold when you view it and make sure you warm it up properly and check the temperature, also a good luck at the oil and water ;) good luck mate Mike
  6. yeh i just spoke to them and since last week they have changed :( will try to find others LOL
  7. LOL i think i have a leak somewhere AND its running rich due to a lazy o2 sensor so i should see better mpg once i sort them problems out wouldnt mind double figures LMAO
  8. yeh your missing the reinforcement bar, i removed mine to fit the fmic but idealy you need it
  9. i paid £1.20 a litre for bp ultimate  and i would have thought about 10 miles of that is hard driving  the rest was tame driving :wack:
  10. Getting very strong petrol smells so i guess i have a leak from somewhere LOL Can someone workout what MPG that is? my guess is its not very good :smash: So another issue i have to sort out
  11. ahh you see now thats different, sound like the drive train or suspension, possibly engine mounts?
  12. you will be ok to use it just done go over 7 or 8 psi also when you say juddering, do you mean the whole car juddering or the engine is cutting out?
  13. tbh i cant see why different ron fuel would cause the overfueling, it would just det on higher boost. could be a temp sensor fault? you need to get it on conzult to see whats going on and change to higher ron fuel straight away!! if you havnt damaged a piston yet you will do at some point ;)
  14. Another update :) I'm a dick :p 2 stupid moments on the 300 so far First removed the jap kendwood double din stereo and fitted a jvc mp3 player which i was given but came with no loom, anyway found a look in the loft which fit it but wasnt the correct plug for the car so had to cut it to splice it in, easy you would think yes??? nothing i havnt done a hundred times but this time i cut the wrong end and cut the wires on the terminal that fits into the stereo back :nelson::smw: i was happily snipping wires until i realised LOL Anyway after having to pop all the connectors out of the terminal block and solder them all on...again all is well and i now have a uk stereo :D and for my next stupid moment. my car had a big boost leak on the passenger side, was pi55ing out so over the last few weeks i have removed all the pipework to see where its coming from and nothing? so presumed it was the manifold or turbo to manifold gasket as it sounds like its coming from there. So had another go a few days ago, plugged the boost leak detector in and pressurised the system with my dads stupidly big compressor and again hissing from that side so i'm under the car feeling around and cant feel anything :( then i press the dipstick in harder and the boost leak detector pops off LOL i do think i had a leak from down there but possibly fixed it when messing but i asked my dad how much pressure he was putting through the system and it was something silly so no wonder it was leaking :nana2: So no more leaks for me, just need to change the o2 sensor now and the car is pretty much done apart from a good service :)
  15. not sure as i dont know what she's working but i cant do strip clubs if she's with me anyway LOL
  16. hmmmm sly pete is what i'm calling you now!! that pub is very close to your house  no flys on you are they LOL pencil me in anyway :)
  17. make sure its cold when you look at it, take it for a decent test run and get it upto temperature, check for leaks, listen for any funny sounds from the box etc, when you get back keep it running and check for any smoke, check the oil and water for any gunky stuff, make sure all the electrics work just simple stuff like that bud Mike
  18. cant this be in lancaster :D
  19. very nice dave, i do like the newer A4's although theres quite alot of them around now so i think they have lost some of the elite'ness about them but still a well put together car
  20. i would go for either the xsara or the primera and stay away from the others ;)
  21. Hi and welcome, pics would be helpful if we have seen it on the club :) Mike
  22. heard that its possibly not as straight forward as thought, the word is they hit a ford KA head on in a R34 GTR and killed at least 1 of the drivers of the KA as well so looks like at least 2 people died in this crash :( harry who's R34 is was is in hospital and his condition is not known and the passenger of the KA is also in hospital and apparently not looking good. this is the downside of road mapping
  23. Totally shocked as i ve spoken to him a few times. Was live mapping a car today and was involved in a fatel car accident :( Was possibly the countries best car mapper and tuner and recently had opend TR Tuning so had the world at his feet. RIP bud Mike
  24. they look better in real life ;) i would have prefered gun metal wheels but i think the black looks mean :) and they do suit the car better than the bronze volks, well i think they do ;)
