300zx.co.uk Nurbergring Trip 2010
I suppose the next decision will be how long are we going for? Do you want a simple ferry over, drive to the nurberg stay over night then come back? Do you want a few more days and stay at nurberg over night or a couple of nights and somewhere else for a night? or do you want something similar to what we did in 2006 and did a bit of a round journey over 5 days taking in amsterdam, nurbergring and brugge? Now as i had possibly the best holiday i have every had on that trip i would prefer if we are going to do it then do it properly :) Just to recap on what happened in 2006 this was what happened: Caught long crossing ferry from hull (17 hours) to zebrugge - dont let this put you off, a nice meal and several pints and then get your head down in your cabin then your there ;) Drove up to amsterdam, parked up and booked into our hotel and had a night out round amsterdam meeting up with a few members from holland. Drove from amsterdam to nurberg, had a nice meal and a few beers in the hotel then the following day went to the ring, we spent most of the day there watching testing, looking round the place as its huge then went back after 5pm to go on the track :hyper: On the next day we drove through the black forest through some of the most beautiful country and little towns and went to brugge and booked into our hotel there and had a good look round brugge which is simply stunning, then of course a meal a night out. Got up the following day and drove to the ferry and went home. A good time was had by all. Mike

Any Royal Mail Employee's on the Forum?
TNT are a big company but i dont think they have that many staff world wide LOL my bet if anyone was going to take a punt at royal mail would be deuche post who own DHL but both MD's of TNT and DHL in this country have already said their many years away from being able to offer a proper door to door letter service which is much different to a door to door small package service which they both can do.

Just like to add, TNT and DHL could NOT offer any kind of replacement service....YET but it wouldnt suprise me if in the future you cold see a postie dressed in yellow and red delivering in say the centre of london. No other postal company would be able to set up the infastructure to be able to take over a large area

I spoke to a few mates and i think they are just striking on friday not thursday now. i dont have too much sympathy with the strike as i fully agree with the changes they need to make, the equipment they use is 100 years old and needs to me modernised to provide a better service but this is going to mean job losses but they business needs to move on and be competitive in todays market. the other reason is management is asking the posties to work their full hours, at the moment when they have done their round they get overtime for staying until their hours are up or they can go home but management are saying work your full 8 hours and we will need less posties?? tough but makes business sense. As usual the unions use the members to get what they want. Mike

One of the first trips i want to arrange for next year is an annual trip to the nurburgring :) A load of us did this a few years ago and i can honestly say it was one of the best trips i have ever been on :) Just looking to gauge numbers and dates at the moment and IF we get enough people that want to take this up i will go into it in more details and get prices etc. Mike

Nokia N97
with regards to being in spain you would need to see if theres any restrictions on how long your allowed to take the phone abroad? if there no restrictions then your laughing :)

Nokia N97
What you do is take a package, ours is a medium business package which i think is £44 a month then to add another user its £15 each user who shares your minutes and they you add other services ie blackberry, iphone etc so in total out bills are about £80-90 and i use my phone all the time
-
Nokia N97
we have a business package and pay about £80 a month for 2 phones and 1500 minutes but all o2 calls are not classed as part of the minutes so we dont use them all
