Are these wheel spacers safe?
Thanks for that! But will they deffo fit my Z as it says for skyline and 200 only? What does "hubcentric" for less vibration mean? Cheers

Exhaust - Flames, Pops....?
If u want flames try an RX-7, mine blows out huge flames at high rpm gear changes. Like said, the whole road behind goes orange at night!

running problem still
Hope you're right, but if it's not firing on that cylinder anyway, removing coil pack will prove nothing. For example imagine duff spark plug, it wouldn't fire with or without coil pack. I had similar problem, running on 5, which was caused by someone disturbing the wiring loom running across back of engine/bulkhead. Found it and cured it by luck, otherwise I would have changed everything and still not cured it.

Max safe oil pressure?
Good info' Willieo, I checked it today and oil cooler was getting cooler at tickover, but nice and warm after a blast, so all is working well there. Also checked pressure on a motorway run and above 5k rpm it stayed at more or less 85 psi, so all is well I think. BTW, I remember having some interesting chats with you a couple of years ago :)

Are these wheel spacers safe?
Was thinking of getting these for my front wheels, but a mechanic mate said they don't look safe? Any opinions please? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=013&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=230125453911&rd=1&rd=1

Max safe oil pressure?
3k hot is 70 psi. 4k is 80 psi. 5k is 85 psi. Couldn't go any more last night cos it was pi**ing down! The gauge needle goes round like a rev counter, very responsive. As Tony says, it's only done 6k miles so pressure should be good, but Paul do you know where the pressure relief valve is so I can check that? Cheers, Trev.

Max safe oil pressure?
Yeah 20-25 hot tickover. Dont know if you fitted the gauge but I managed to get the backlight working in it yesterday lol. Went straight thru an MOT last week so thats good. Tony do you know what the advisory was for at the last MOT, maybe wear in rear track rod ends? Cheers, Trev.

I'm after a couple of s/s silencers to fit mid system, anyone know where to get 'em? Cheers, Trev.

Max safe oil pressure?
I've got an after market oil pressure gauge, race logic (or race tech?) with a direct oil feed so pretty accurate. Hot at 2k rpm reads 50psi. High rpm hot reads 90 - 95 psi, which is almost off the gauge! Is that normal or a tad too high? Cheers, Trev.

Can you adjust autobox RPM change?
In kickdown mine changes gear at 7100 RPM. Ideally I'd like it to change at 6500 (without lifting my foot lol) but is there any way of adjusting the box to do that? Trev.

Zed TT Fuel economy ?

Bugger!
Sounds like the same probs I had when I bought Cona2k's Z. Took it to Protech who tried to tell me it was air con condensation when they couldn't find the leak, but I wasn't having any of that! They eventually traced it to a tiny split in one of the two stubby matrix pipes. The misfire I thought was cured after cleaning and tightening the coil packs, but came back after they rumaged in the wiring loom across the bulk head to do the matrix pipes. Bottom line is I was at a loss to what caused the misfire, they didn't know either, but I eventually found it when I pushed that big wiring loom around a bit, and that cured it! (and Paul if you read this I went to Protech because they had already ordered the pipes, but I'll see you next time) :)

Zed stolen by a fellow Zedder ?
Well said, couldn't agree more. Not much chance in this ever worsening nanny state though! The latest thing is instead of prison sentences, having a meeting between the perpertrator and the victim, so they can apologise ffs. Back to the stolen Z, how can they sell it or do they break them? If they change the plates do they have to own a donor black SWB?

rear tyres squeeling
I've only ever seen this on cheap tyres. Cheap = hard squealy rubber.

Legrath Drifting Video...
Great vid that's funny as fook! Must have been when you were still on that old hard Jap rubber Legrath, and prob hit a diesel spill like that time on the east brent roundabout ;) when I was following you in my rex, next time I saw u though u were on rails round the walrow roundabout with new rubber! I recognise the DC into bridgwater at the start, that Z sounds great, but what roundabout's that where the 'ahem drifting' takes place? I don't recognise it from the vid. Trev.

cant beleive he sold it already
Indeed :) and the problems are being fixed, almost up together now, MOT on Thurs. Main problem is the tubby seal smoking when cold, I guess that's why the car has had 4 owners in a year! I'll be seeing Paul about that when it gets worse, as it's fine at the mo after warming up. It's certainly quick though, a Porsche Carrera had a pop at me several times the other night but couldn't keep up with the Z :)

Plans for our cars that are 10year or older
The road pricing petition was a very serious one with 1.8 M sigs. You don't really think they won't try to tax YOU off the road in any way they can do you? Of course they will try! All in the name of saving the planet!

Not incentives, more like penalties. I've never been to Japan but I guess the less well off simply cannot afford to own a car?

Your Z will be banned or made financially unviable because they say it will warm the planet to destruction! Your CO2 emissions are too high and you must pay them more so they can control the weather! The fact that a Prius or any other eco friendly green car has a higher dust to dust carbon footprint than your Z will not be mentioned or entertained! The good news is we won't be rolling over lightly as the 1.8 Million signatures on the road tax petition demonstrates. Best thing we can do is vote Labour out. The rest may not be alot better but they sure as hell couldn't be worse :)

Too true!! Their next target is going to be alcohol. On entering a pub or club you will be issued with 3 personal drink vouchers, each carrying a picture of your face photcopied from your ID card. Each voucher will be worth one unit of alcohol, so be sure to drink slowly!! As per the smoking ban, the alcohol vouchers will not apply to the House of Commons bars.

I'm back with Tonyc's shorty!
Thanks for that, I checked it out and yes inner brake lights come on with front fogs, my last Z had a seperate ugly fog hanging under rear bumper so I was looking for wiring for similar, one less job now though! Wanted to ask you something else but can't remember at all now so next time :) Cheers, Trev.
