It's not just the UK. MIAMI (AP) — Record low temperatures chilled Florida from top to bottom Monday, endangering fruit and vegetable crops and taxing the power grid of a state unaccustomed to the cold. The National Weather Service reported 36 degrees at the Miami airport, beating an 82-year-old record of 37 degrees. It dipped to 42 degrees in Key West, one degree off the record and the second-coldest reading since 1873. “I even had ice on my car this morning, which was an unbelievable sight for Miami,” said Dan Gregoria, meteorologist with the National Weather Service. It was 14 degrees Monday morning in Tallahassee, breaking the record of 15 set in 1982. Record-tying lows of 29 were observed in Orlando, and Tampa’s 25-degree weather beat its old record of 27. South Florida is usually around 68 degrees this time of year.

I forgot I started this thread, but anyway I see there are a couple of True Believers here (the faith is strong) but the general opinion is pretty much the same as with the general public on the whole, in that 80% of us believe Man Made Global Warming Theory is nonsense (yes polls show circa 80% although the BBC propaganda machine may have you believe otherwise). As mentioned, the spin machine now calls global warming 'Climate Change' and obviously the planet cannot have anything but climate change - there is no such thing as 'climate constant'! Climate has and always will change, and it's certain that human influence on that change is so small as to be negligible. I've spent many many hours reading lots of scientific reports, and like anyone with a logical mind would be, I am completely convinced that anthropogenic CO2 emissions have a negligible affect on climate. The tide of independent (non government funded) scientific opinion has turned that way too, and I'm sure it won't be long now until the whole CO2 political scare story drops dead on it's feet. Did you know that total global human CO2 accounts for just 0.0015% of the atmosphere, and that the UK's portion of global human CO2 is just 2% - so if the UK completely halted all fossil fuel burning over night we would reduce atmospheric CO2 by a whopping 0.00003%! Costly and completely pointless! Also, an important fact to remember is that there is NO PROVEN CAUSE AND EFFECT between global temperature data and anthropegenic carbon dioxide, and that carbon Dioxide IS NOT even close to being a pollutant! It's an essential trace gas that plants/trees/farming thrive on, and is actually quite diminished at the moment - just 0.0385 of our atmosphere. Historic levels have been much higher, naturally of course, and they will be again. Don't get me started on the Polar Bear charade! Their numbers have been steadilly rising since the 1950's despite what the constant barrage of propaganda will have you believe. Global ice is not melting either! Antarctica holds 90% of the planets ice at thicknesses over 1 mile deep, and average temperatures around minus 20c (down to minus 80). Ice is increasing at the rate of billions of tonnes per year. Even if it naturally warmed it would still be well below freezing! Did anyone see the snowfall in the US last week? 877 new snowfall records! Closer to home, many European cities experienced near record breaking low temperatures. More to come due partly to solar activity. Jeff was spot on earlier when he mentioned Solar activity - the driver of climate. Basically for the last 2 years the Sun has been very quiet, sunspot activity has been at its lowest recorded level for more than 100 years. Solar cycle 23 was extra long (normally 11 years) with a long solar minimum, and cycle 24 is predicted to be weak. There's a high probability that we could be entering a period of climate similar to the Dalton minimum around 1800 (end of the little ice age period) when the sun was equally as quiet. The Solar / Climate Relationship is like this... Lower Magnetic Field Strength = Fewer Sunspots = Less Solar Wind = More Galactic Cosmic Rays = More Low Level Cloud Formation = Increased Albedo/More Sunlight Reflected Into Space = Earth Becomes Colder. Basically, top government funded climate scientists have been twisting their data to falsify global warming. I usually fill up with VPower at Clevedon, but then a Shell garage opened in Weston so I started going there as it's closer to me, trouble is they're useless - more expensive than Clevedon and it's a 50/50 chance that they've run out of VP every time I go to fill up. So went to Tesco's last night, and was amazed to find 99 ron there at about £1.07 / litre. I asked the girl how long they'd had 99 ron, she said "oh, I think that's just been labled wrong"! I said, "so I've just been ripped off?" she said "oh er I'm not sure". Hopefully she was just daft as a brush. I had no signs of det on the way home at 1 bar boost anyway. Anyone else use Tesco 99 instead of VPower? Any opinions on it?

Mine's lowered and running on 18 inch wheels. The rear tyres (Bridgestone) are gone on the inside edges and that's after 5.5k miles, with about 2mm left across the rest of the tread. Had the car on a ramp today and told my mechanic the camber wasn't adjustable (from what I remember reading around here) but he said he could adjust it, so he's looking at it next week. Is he talking crap lol?

Yeah I saw those too, they're listed as upto 1994 but are H1 bulbs and won't fit as far as I know. They don't look anything like H3C's. Cheers for looking :)

Hi all, I'm after a pair of headlamp bulbs for a Z32 import, which I believe are H3C bulbs (2 prong). I've looked on ebay and they list H1 H4 etc as 300zx 90-94 bulbs. Surely they won't fit? Has anyone bought any H3C bulbs from ebay? If so can you post up a link please. Cheers.

Agreed, great post by JeffTT. I had exactly the same symptons years ago on a Rover SD1, come to a halt, wait 5 minutes and off I go again. So changed the fluid and cleaned the strainer and all was well after. But only for about 6 months, it died after that - I'll always remember having to drive home in the only gear I could get - which unfortunately was reverse!

The conclusion of the test seems to be that the Z's ABS operates slower than modern systems, which will affect braking distances when locking up on damp roads. Keep your distance in the wet peeps (but that's sensible in any vehicle). Would have been good to see the results for a dry surface. The van would get eaten I reckon.
