Cheers guys, still havn't been out on a fully dry road , the rear tyres are worn smooth by the last owner so Ive been fishtailing quite a bit! The ride is very very hard but I like that, a cats eye feels like running over a speed hump, there's no play in the suspension at all it feels. Steering is very responsive, zigzag down the road sharply and no body roll at all. Sequential twin turbo is interesting and fun to drive, 1st turbo doesnt feel as quick as my Z was, but when 2nd turbo comes in at bout 4.7 / 5000 rpm it goes like fook all the way to 8000, so feels quicker than my Z if I redline thru the gears. It's more plasticky and rattley inside than the Z , and a snug tight fit for me and Im only 5ft8 32w so a big person would be v cramped. Fuel seems to be about 17/18 mpg but I'll know exactly in another week. Its still rainin outside :-(

Will be getting a Z again when Im bored with it tho! Picked it up from Tamworth/midlands today, it pissd down from the time I left home to the time got back, took 4 and1/2 hours coming back 120 miles :-( so I couldnt play with it much in the traffic. PLEASE god let it be dry tomo I wanna see what it'll do :-) Heres a pic anyway, what d'you lot think? donno if I like the rear spoiler yet..

Should be getting RX at the weekend, does anyone know any companys that do a finance check on the car over the phone? Is it called HPI check? and how do they know if there's finance outstanding ? Cheers,

LOL no it's not a turbo, first time it did it, it didnt do it again for a couple weeks , now its gettin more regular like every day, (thas alot of its :)

Power loss - what power??!! Hi all, any diesel experts among us please? I have a Nissan vanette '98 2.3 diesel. It's a total slug but serviced regularly and drives well apart from every now and then, say about once every 5-10 miles it loses power and wont pull and chucks black smoke out the zorst. Anyone have any ideas what it might be, dont really want to take it to nissan dealer! Thanks,

I've found a uk spec RX7 for sale just down the road, but I'm put off by the lower bhp. Also found a black type R with a new engine and a few mods - induction, chipped, zorst, intercooler, should be quick :-))) I'll put a pic up if i get it!

RX7 3rd generation twin turbo. Hi all, I'm looking for an RX7 for a change before i get my next ZX, have any of you owned one or know much about them? I'm trying to find out what the difference is between the UK and Jap import spec, I've heard that the UK spec has less power? but they have the same 1.3 twin rotary and turbos? Yeah they take the piss, Ive seen loads of police mercedes, lexus recently. One guess where all this excess cash is coming from?

A mate of mine had that stuff in his range rover, and was always complaining of steering wheel vibrations and wobble. After getting really pissd off he took it to be tracked and balanced, and they couldnt even balance the wheels because of that stuff in the tyres! It moves around all over the place. So the temporary stuff is good but the permanent stuff is crap, i would say.

Some would say 45 in a 30 is more dangerous than a ton on the motorway. You get 3 points whereas the ton gets him banned, sums up the logic in the system, there isnt any.

Wouldnt it be nice if ppl were judged by their standard of driving and not their speed alone. A ton is fook all in the right place and we all know it. PhilD, take it you'd be ok with losing your licence then?

Have to agree, at 17 owning a Z is a dangerous thing! BUT, there is an exception to every rule! If the cash isnt a problem and u can resist the influence of the nutters give it a go! My advice for what it's worth would be always drive it on your own and never with ya mates on board as you will showoff and lose the backend at best! You'd have to have plenty of self control not to race other cars too, and only boot it on a straight road and dont exceed the national speed limit by more than 20mph, and dont drive it in the rain at all!! So if you think you're the exception to the rule go for it, and be damned sure not to prove all these old duffers right! Cheers,
