Wednesday night I pulled up to the traffic lights on the main crossroads of the Stratford Road/Haslucks Green Road and saw a grey Zed stopped at the traffic lights, Stratford Road side with a Motorcycle cop sat on his bike next to the passenger side, leaning in through the window! Hope whoever it was their tax was up to date as that's what they had been stopping cars for all evening! Anyone on here?

Definately a good point there. I'm running a GTR Brembo set-up on the fronts so hopefully the brakes won't get tooooo lost behind the alloys! Not as good as a huge AP kit but they'll do the job till I can afford something better (sometime in the next century the way things are going!;)) Was very impressed with that smoked chrome look you posted about James! As I say it's always an option! All in, including shipping (with the same company that's sorted my V8, YA Logistics who I highly recommend BTW!) and taxes it woks out at a few pennies over £1000. I'm not sure but I think the law on customs charges and import taxes changed for the better in the budget...If so, it could work out a bit cheaper :)

Since I wasn't able to get the alloys I really wanted :( I've been on the hunt for some more. Just had confirmation that if I want them, I can import a set of the style below in 19's :eek: for a very reasonable price (and that's taking into consideration shipping and taxes). I've always said I'm not a huge fan of the chromed look but the style is (in my mind anyway!) really nice: a five spoke split rim alloy where the spokes aren't too thick and taper towards the end. After seeing James mention refinishing his alloys it occurred to me that I could always do the same... What do you reckon guys? [bracing myself for the backlash] ;) :D

Dark Water is grrrreat! Saw it in a little cinema off Leicester Square late one night and it scared the bejesus out of me! You kind of know what the twist is going to be from quite early on but for some reason instead of spoiling it, it just adds to the tension as you're anticipating the reveal at every turn!

We actually called her old employer today and found out she'd been given the boot there for constant absenteeism and also, and I quote, "cooking up stories". B1tch has got a screw loose somewhere. :mad: Working on it as we speak.

Had the day from hell. Sitting here with everyone gone to bed and I can't sleep from all the worry. Sorry to post like this, I'm just writing things down to try and feel better. Without going into details, found out today that someone who used to work for us is accusing my dad of "improper" behaviour towards her. TOTAL bullsh1t and we've heard she's doing it to get her own back on us for giving her a disciplinary warning. My folks are the kindest most honest, good people you're ever likely to meet and it's killing me to see them being put through this sh1t. As there's not an ounce of truth in it we know that if it went any further it would be laughed out of court but it's the thought of having to go through it all...They're in their late 60's now and my dad's not a well man and this has totally shaken them both. We've been told second hand she's gone to the police but we don't know if this is more lies...I guess we just have to wait to see if we get a phone call. I feel so sick with frustration that I can't do anything, only reassure them that everything will be ok. How can people be so fVckin cruel??

About 600lbs off the top of my head! :D
