  1. I had major difficulty taking mine off. Heating them up with a blowtorch and using a wooden wedge with a hammer helped! :D
  2. Lol! I think so mate! ;) :D
  3. I think SE Nissan supply those mate. But a little bird told me a similar (but better) version will also be available elsewhere in the not too distant future...;)
  4. Not a big fan of the Veilside skirts myself but if you must put a pair on, make sure you get them totally smoothed in as it makes them look a lot better IMO.
  5. http://www.storewars.org/flash/index.html  :D
  6. That's because they aren't official Border wings, they're very close copies (though not "exact" copies. I think there has to be a certain amount of difference to avoid legal implications...I think it's seven points of difference?) Leigh.
  7. Oi! Form an orderly queue! And quit pushing! Lol! ;) :D
  8. Yup, post some pics when they're finished mate. You can tell him if they're top notch he'll definately be getting some work from me! :D
  9. Fit them James! Fit them!!...You know it makes sense mate! ;)
  10. Just posted on the other thread and didn't see this one! Lol! Crackin alloys James, one of my favorites, bet your well chuffed! :hyper: Leigh.
  11. James mate, those are fantastic alloys! Those Racing Harts were my other choice if I couldn't get the Trafficstar STM's! Nice one! Leigh.
  12. I'd be very interested in seeing the quality of his work as I'll be in the market for a full retrim soon. Travelling is no problem for good work...and a good price ;) Is that his standard rate or "mates" rates? Cheers, Leigh.
  13. I think the correct offset for the Zed is 30 front and 35 rear. I think there may be an issue with brake caliper clearance so spacers would probably be necessary... And I'm not 100% but I think the centre bore size for those cars may be larger (the Zed has a centre bore of 66). Not a big problem though as you can get rings inserted to reduce the size.

Wasn't saying it doesn't fit well mate, it looks like it does! I just can't seem to stop changing things on the car at the moment. Lol! ;) :D

I like that pod a lot mate, looks very well in there. Definately thinking of getting one myself and maybe modding it slightly. Reckon it would look good if the right hand section was chopped and altered so the top curves into the cowl of the speedo pod so it looks like one continuous section. Note to self: Must stop redesigning the interior! :D Leigh.
  16. Blimey, those last two are a bit...er...different! :D ;) Cheers for the links matey it's appreciated! :)
  17. She is, and she works with my mom who is also a hairdresser. Your point being? Thanks for the advice billy and karlos...not so keen on the idea now! ;)
  18. Lol! I know, I know ;) Ideally she'd like a Suzuki Cappucino however we were put off when I enquired about insurance...over £2000! I thought the Golf might be a reasonable compromise. Ok it's boxy but it does have a quirky kind of cool and added pose value with the roof down which wouldn't be all that bad for a first car! ;)
  19. Toying with the idea of buying an old Golf GL Cabriolet for Lucie. Went to see one today that has been up for sale for the past couple of months with no takers. It was originally up for £700 but has since come down to £500. After talking to the owner it looks like she may drop to £300. It's got some rust around the back, the paint job is very tired and faded, the original roof is in a sorry state and would need replacing, the engine's running a bit rich and there's no service history but, despite this, I'm still kind of taken by it! If there's anything serious body wise that requires welding I have a mate that would be able to sort it out for me. However I'm not entirely sure I should go for it. Has anyone had any experience with these cars? Good points/bad points? Any info or advice would be good to hear folks :) Cheers, Leigh
  20. LOL! I can imagine! ;)
  21. Just got it myself! What a bloomin shock to turn to the feature and find Sgt C's mug staring out at me! ;) Girls look great? Er...are we reading the same magazine?? Lol! No offence to Trin and Storm but after seeing the photos posted up here I don't think they chose the...er...most flattering of pics... ;)
  22. I remember Splatterhouse...used to play it when the family went on holiday to Wales in an arcade in Barmouth! Vividly remember the end room on the second level...maggots-a-go-go! :D Fond memories? Going down to the local shop every Saturday to buy a Yorkie and a bottle of Cherryade then getting back to watch the wrestling in the afternoon. "Proper" wrestling that is...Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks! Get in! :D Leigh.
  23. Not wanting to rock the boat mate but are you sure 6x9's are the way to go? (I imagine you're talking about co-axial's right?) If you reckon you don't have space (or whatever reason) for a sub then go for 6x9's. However if you do then you might want to reconsider. IMO (and that of many others) 6x9's draw the sound stage to far back and muddy the sound quality. My advice would be to keep it simple: a decent set of components up front and one 10"/12" quality sub in the boot, or perhaps even two good 8" subs (maybe evem two 6"s mounted in the rear quarters?) all powered off one amp (not the best way to do it but it saves space and keeps the install light). Just a thought fella! :)
  24. The going rate for these, including the dreaded VAT, is about £2600 a set (a whopping £650 per wheel! Though I guess they're slightly cheaper in Japan or the US). However, through a VERY lucky turn of events, I was offered them at a considerably reduced rate which I couldn't say no to...;)
  25. Hopefully in about a month mate, when the wide arches are being done. Just keeping my fingers well and truly crossed that everything (aside from the V8 and the interior) will be finished in time to unveil her at JAE! ;)
