Rethink what Mods you get.
True. JD took me for a spin in his Zed the other day after it had been fitted with White Line adjustable anti sway bars to see what I thought. The difference is quite simply phenomenal. Although John's set-up is already superb, the car stayed flatter to the road and turned in with no "wallow" even when we were at very high speed through the twisties. They're number one on my list of parts to buy, second being adjustable front upper arms! :) Leigh.

DV Camcorder advice!
Well, it's my birthday soon (the day before JAE! Great excuse to carry on the "celebrations" over the weekend :duffer: ;)) and Lucie has just told me that she's going to club together with my folks to get me a DV camcorder (I've always wanted one of my own, and it means I can get some decent footage of the show!). The only problem is neither they nor I have a bloomin' clue as to which one to get! Can anyone advise me on what type would be best on a budget of about £600? Cheers! Leigh.

No problem mate. Send them over to friday76 @ tiscali.co.uk (remove the spaces between the @ ;)) Leigh- Colour Change.....
All I can say is give Steve (Bodywork Plus) a bell if you're looking to sort your car out...the paint he's just got in is the dogs balearics mate! :D  Leigh- A1 Drifting
Came across this on the Driftworks forum: http://www.maxpower.co.uk/drifting/driftingvideo.asp And here's a link to the thread with comments from Max Power staff: http://www.driftworks.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=6310 I love to watch drifting but this...hmmmmm... :nono: From what I've read on the thread in question, I believe I've met the driver (albeit very briefly...a well known face in the drift community) and TBH I'm suprised he'd go in for something like this... Discuss ;) Leigh.- NZR: Temporary ride !!
[Pedant mode] "Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus [/Pedant mode] :D- lambo doors
Raptor doors? That's interesting, cheers for the heads up. I wasn't aware there was an aftermarket kit that used double synchro helix door actuation (like the Koenigsegg), which is why I've asked my mate Mike, an ex Rover design engineer, to try and figure out a prototype.- lambo doors
Do these require the front wings to be removed to fit them? I'd be very interested to see photos of the kit fitted to your Zed mate as I'm currently looking into different options regarding door conversions. Cheers, Leigh.- Insurance Companies
Unfortunately our official club insurer, Houghton's are making matters a lot worse. I've been with them for two years and at the end of last year, on their advice, I bought a second car to use as my "main" vehicle whilst the Zed could go over to their "classic" policy. I cleared the car with them (a Nissan Sunny Estate...no sniggering at the back please :D) and they told me my policy (for both cars) would come down again on renewal (I was paying around £750 for both cars). However I received a letter the other week informing me that my new renewal quote for the Sunny alone would be...brace yourselves...£986!!! I rang them up, questioned it, and as touslecoq said they blamed it on Chaucer changing their terms and conditions...changes which they admitted they knew were going to be implemented when they advised me to purchase the car! To make matters worse I was also told by the lady on the helpdesk that Chaucer are "cracking down" on imports and that includes...yep, you guessed it...the 300ZX. I've contacted Mac about this as I thought he should know that a lot of people are about to get a VERY raw deal from Houghton's when their renewal date comes round.- Please Vote which of my 17" & 18" Alloys do I keep?
Out of the two, I prefer the 18" split five spoke.- Delocked?
Sorting out an emergency charging point is fairly straightforward for those, like me, who wouldn't be happy unless they go the whole hog and take off the boot lock as well (I managed it and I'm cr@p at electrics! :D) See my Journal for pics, it's the last entry. Leigh.- Well Dun CA$H 4 puttin de Z on de map
Christ on a bike...Reading that made me want to gouge my own eyes out. I can't help but notice a fatal flaw. They're trying to sell themselves as "custom modifiers", however the vast majority of people that the site (with it's lurid graphics, incomprehensible "txt spk" and rampant egotism) will appeal to is the 14-18 year old, Max Power market who don't have the money to spend for that kind of work in the first place. And those who are a bit older, with enough disposable income will be completely alienated, find it all laughable and reject them out of hand (regardless of whether they are good or not)! In short: PR suicide. They REALLY need to sack whoever's advising them IMO.- Relocating battery to the boot
Just added a section to my Journal about fitting an emergency charging point with pics that you might find interesting if you're still thinking about going ahead with relocating the battery. Leigh- Pic of boot with T-tops in?
Nice one. That'll do the job nicely! Cheers mate! :D :D- Pic of boot with T-tops in?
Does anyone happen to have a photo they could post of the boot with the Targa Tops in? Only I've just had an idea for an install design which I'd like to work on tonight and it would be handy to have a pic to gauge their relative sizes! No worries if no one has, it'll wait till tomorrow! ;) :D Cheers, Leigh- Reckon you can hold your drink then?

Not Zed Related ;)- Relocating battery to the boot
Lol! You're only jealous and want me for my battery relocating skills... :slap: - Relocating battery to the boot
Lol! :D BTW mate, off topic but, PM me your number when you get chance! ;)- Relocating battery to the boot
Well, you would be able to see the photo's in my Journal, except photobucket appears to have gone offline so it's screwing up the links  - Relocating battery to the boot
I found that the Deta Orbital Deep Cycle battery gave the best results for the least money (it's an unbranded Exide Maxxima) after reading through many posts on Car Audio forums where they upgrade the battery for SPL contests. Photos and details can be found in my Journal. Also the bonus with a gel type battery is that you can mount it in any position with no need for ventilation. Just a small point but while you're at it you might as well fit some quick release battery lugs to make life easier ;) Leigh- whats the cost of a retrim ??
Could well be interested mate. When the dash and the install are finished I'll be looking for someone to do the seats, doors, all the trim, steering wheel, gaiters and the dash in leather. Does he have a website? Leigh- Should be collecting her this week
Very nice example! I like :D Leigh. - lambo doors
