  1. I'm currently looking at putting together a website using Mambo. I've never used it before but have been advised that it would be ideal for my requirements! Are there any web design gurus about that might take pity on a poor Luddite and let me PM them to ask them a few things? It would really be appreciated guys! :D ;) Cheers, Leigh.
  2. And I highly recommend Steve at Bodywork Plus. His details are in the Traders section fella! ;) Leigh.
  3. 100% agree. It p1sses me off no end. What I find doubly insulting is when I get "cold-callers" (which for some reason I get a helluva lot) that can't speak English. For fVcks sake, if you're trying to sell me something at least make sure I know what the hell it is before I hang up!   ;)
  4. Sling me over an extra small and I'll get Lucie to model 'em for you all! ;) :D
  5. Me and Lucie booked in at the Travel Inn as well Saturday night :D Did enough camping on the music festival circuit over the years to last me a lifetime. Comfy bed and ensuite for me these days thank you please! ;) Leigh
  6. PMSL! [simpsons Comic Book Guy Mode] I must hurry back to my comic book store, where I dispense the insults rather than absorb them! [/simpsons Comic Book Guy Mode] :D
  7. I believe in the original comics, The Joker (pre acid bath) didn't kill Bruce's parents. It was Tim Burton that was guilty of a little artistic license...;)
  8. Mate, I can honestly say I think yours is one of the best looking Zeds on this forum. Everything you did was well considered, not OTT but well put together and in keeping with the style of the car. Really sorry to here the situation you're in but when all is said and done, where family is concerned, I'd do exactly the same. It sounds as if you've managed to find a good compromise through Ryan though, which is something! All the best fella. :) Leigh.
  9. Just been speaking to John on the blower about it mate, sounds like it was a great day and well worth the journey! Some great results there! :) Leigh.
  10. Me: 29 in a couple of weeks. The little lady: 19. No wonder I'm starting to go grey...she's wearing me out! Lol! ;)
  11. Mate, you're a scholar and a gent! I've sent the details to your account. Thanks for the avatar and sending on the package. Much appreciated! ;) :D Leigh.
  12. Right, I've found this great GIF that I'd like to use as my Avatar however as it is now, it's slightly too big to use on this BB. Unlike the Stormtrooper GIF I'm using at the moment, when I attempt to open it in Photoshop Elements I get the message: "Could not open.....because of a problem with the file-format module interface." I've tried hunting for a free plug-in to fix it but to no avail :( The properties of the file are as follows: Width: 160 pixels Height: 120 pixels Horizontal Resolution: 96 dpi Vertical Resolution : 96 dpi Bit Depth: 32 as it stands Frame Count: 883 Would anybody be able to point me in the right direction for an appropriate fix or perhaps change it for me? Cheers, Leigh.
  13. No fair. Had a night out and Lucie's tipsy and I'm sobre since I got lumbered with the driving! Methinks a night out with the lads is in order to rectify the situation! Bah humbug. :duffer: ;)
  14. Lol! I owe you several buddy! It'll be interesting to see how close to your original photoshops she ends up! ;)
  15. About to shoot out with the missus but will send a PM later tonight as I'd definately be interested if the set up is compatible with the VH mate :) Mark: er...spiralling out of control is quite accurate! LMAO! :D No, but seriously, I've always had a set plan. The custom bodywork has been in my head since the very beginning but thankfully Steve, with his genius, is going to make it a reality! Aside from that the other goals were the V8 swap, different alloys, simple but effective (and lightweight) audio install and respray. I'd originally planned to have the interior retrimmed but that's kind of gone a bit mental and now I'm customising the dash as well! The same could be said of the audio side I guess as I've now got a chap who helps run one of the in-car computer forums speccing up and putting together a system for me (MP3's on the hard drive, Sat Nav, voice activation etc.etc...the need to accomodate screens was one of the reasons behind remodelling the dash). As far as timescale is concerned, it's difficult to gauge...though it won't be tooooo long. I like to think of it all as controlled insanity mate! ;) :D Thanks for the support guys, it helps! :) Leigh.
  16. Thanks Andy. Just been on the troubleshooting section of their website and the exact problem I'm having is covered in detail. Apparently it's a known fault of this particular unit and it requires "servicing or replacing". However they go on to say, "There is no guarantee that servicing the all-in-one will correct the problem and a replacement might exhibit the same problem. " :headvswal Think I'll just get myself another one and save the hassle! Can anyone recommend a decent all in one unit?
  17. I've got an HP scanner printer combo unit and the scanner part of it seems to be playing up. Roughly 8 times out of 10 when I try to scan something it either shows a one inch vertical band running the length of the digital image which is darker than the rest, or either makes the whole image go completely dark (and redder). This goes through to the printed copy as well. Is there a solution or is it time to junk it and buy a new one? If so, can anyone recommend a good one? Cheers, Leigh.
  18. That's a good price mate. JD also told me that Demontw@ts sell them for the Zed, http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/catalogue/appdata2.asp?manf_id=37&manfdesc=Nissan&code=WHIARB&app_id=68640&x=86&y=11 Yup, nitrous on the VH is a very popular mod in the Infiniti community as the engine can handle it without breaking a sweat by all accounts. Nothing too lairy, just a 100 shot ;) :D
  19. Lol! Thank Christ I'm not the only one! Got my eye on some Whiteline anti sway bars at the moment and just been going through a few US sites doing a bit of research on nitrous oxide :x: :D Chunk: cheers buddy, thanks for sending 'em off! :)
  20. BTW Pete, I still owe you a pint for dropping those sideskirts off! I'll be getting them in at JAE fella! :duffer: :D
  21. Cheers matey! Looking forward to seing your rebuild finished as well bud! Just forked out nearly £750 for my Emerald engine management as well this week (Lucie and my folks chipped in as a birthday present for me...God bless 'em! ;)) so the engine side is ticking along nicely as well...the bhp calcs JD showed me the other night seem VERY promising ;)
  22. Well, had to say goodbye to my baby for a while as I dropped her off with Steve at Bodywork Plus. I'm going to miss her like hell (got to drive the sh1tter everywhere now!) but I know beyond a shadow of a doubt she's in the very best of hands...TBH, after seeing examples of Steve's work I wouldn't let anyone else touch her! I've taken her so far myself but this next stage is something else entirely and it needs a true craftsman like Steve to pull it off...the stuff he's going to do is truly amazing. When she next sees the light of day she's going to be transformed...radical custom bodywork and cutting edge respray. I can't go into too many details just yet but I can safely say there isn't going to be another Zed like it anywhere in the world...and that's no exaggeration. With the V8 going in as well...Christ, I'm more excited than a dog with two d1cks if you'll pardon the turn of phrase! Lol! I can hardly believe it's all finally happening! Sorry folks, just had to share! :D Leigh.
  23. Have a crackin' birthday mate! :duffer: Leigh.
  24. Yep, are you using it as a base to bridge a hole which you'll fibreglass over or are you running it across a vent/airdam to prevent crud flying in!? ;) Mind you, either way I'd apply the mesh to the inner side of the hole/vent, making sure you've cut it so it's about 1-2cm over the size of the opening then fix it in place with activated resin or filler. HTH Leigh
