  1. Cheers guys, that info is really appreciated! I can now get on and order some decent rubber for them :) P.S. James: sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday bud, between picking up the alloys and taking Lucie out I didn't stop! Afraid I don't know where that company is based as the parts were ordered by the bodyshop when I first took the Zed in to get the insurance work done. Sorry I can't be any more help fella :( Leigh
  2. Cheers guys, I'm sooooo damn happy with them! (LOL at TSW Venoms :slap:  ) And mental note to self: girlfriend+posh dinner out+alcohol+shiny new car parts=a very interesting night! Who'da thought it? ;)
  3. Mark, if you don't mind sending them over, that would be a great help mate! Probably best to send them to friday76 @ tiscali.co.uk (obviously without the spaces ;)) Cheers bud! Leigh.
  4. Yup both me and Lucie have the D500 mate (and also a couple of my mates!:D). Crackin' phone, does absolutely bloody everything! Leigh.
  5. Then again, my girlfriend is a member on here...;)
  6. Well, picked up my brand new 19" Trafficstar STM alloys today, and I have to say I'm mighty pleased with them! Mmmmm....deep dish....What do you reckon guys? ;) And don't believe what they tell you...new alloys really DO improve your sex life... Mind you it helps when your girlfriend is a part-time model ;)...... Leigh.
  7. Thanks for the advice so far. Can I go any bigger than 235/35 for the fronts and 265/30 for the rears? Cheers, Leigh.
  8. Hi there and welcome to the forum! I think your best bet for information is to check out http://www.hybridz.org. Myself and a good mate are swapping our VG30DETT engines for VH45DE's and that forum was full of good advice/contacts. For example, I just did a quick search and came up with this which you may be interested in: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=88159 The trouble with the VG30 is when tuning it you hit something of a glass ceiling. After you've done the basics: induction, exhaust, re-mapped chip, boost controller (I'm excluding the essential braking and suspension upgrades that should go hand in hand) you start hitting major £££££'s when it comes to coolers, injectors, uprated turbo's etc. And it does have something of a reutation for being a little temperamental. Though if modifications are executed correctly and with care, you might have years of trouble free motoring! HTH Cheers, Leigh. P.S. Single exit is the only way to go for that great sound!
  9. THE best snack to have, accompanied by a cup of tea, when you've come in from a night on the p1ss! In fact, this threads got me hungry, I'm off to have some now! :D Leigh
  10. Sgt C's is crackin'. I really would like red in mine but a much, much darker, deeper coloured red, with slightly different stitching (retro ferrari style ;)) and covering all of the dash, doors etc not just certain parts. Leigh.
  11. Thanks for that matey! :) Can anyone recommend any other profile tyres or are these about right folks?
  12. Cheers Vinz! :) What profile tyres are you running mate?
  13. Buy the 350. Save some more cash. Fit the Veilside Type III wide arch kit. Fit some lightweight Volks racing alloys. Fit a supercharger. Et Bob est ton oncle. :D Leigh.
  14. I need some advice on what size tyre would be best for my new alloys if that's ok guys? :) They're 19's in an 8.5" width fitment for the fronts and 9.5" for the rears. I was thinking of trying out the Goodyear Eagle F1's this time as I've heard good reports (although I have to say I've always had Toyo Proxes on my cars and been very happy with them) but it would also be interesting to hear if anyone would recommend another make? Cheers, Leigh.
  15. Blimey mate you've been busy! :D Interesting to see that photo...nice clear view of what hiding behind the dash. Good to know before I start pulling it apart myself! ;) Leigh.
  16. P.S. BTW, my current alloys are now well and truly for sale! ;) :D
  17. Yup, really, REALLY cheap! And that's a very good point mate, cheers! You won't believe what's just happened though! I just called them back to confirm some things and the guy I spoke to before had got the name of he alloy wrong...they're not Trafficstar DTM's but STM's ! The one I'd originally phoned to get a quote for! :D I liked the DTM's but I was looking for something a bit more "race-look" and not in chrome TBH, but I still liked the DTM's when they were offered. Now I know I'm getting the STM's I'm over the moon (see pic below)! Picking them up tomorrow afternoon from Leicester!
  18. Thanks Mac :) These are the alloys if anyone wants to know what I'm going on about!: I had the same thing in mind as you did Iain, wondering if they'd clear my Brembo's but with that offset it should kick the wheels out instead of bringing them in though? Which is a good thing really considering the size of the arches going on! Just rang them back and found out the PCD is the same and the centre bore is 72 which although it's different from the Zed's 66, it means that they can be "ringed" and reduced to fit. Any more input would be great folks! Leigh.
  19. Right, it's panic stations this end, but in a good way (I think!)! Basically I've been offered a set of top notch 19" Trafficstar DTM alloys for silly cheap money (relatively speaking!). The downside is they're in a different offset (20 front, 17 rear) and I have to decide before close of business today! HOWEVER...I'm fiting custom wide arches which will require the use of some major spacers anyway (from Luke probably) and I also have one of Harve's camber correction kits to put on. Can anyone tell me definitively if I'll be ok with these alloys with this set-up? Cheers, Leigh.
  20. Well, the previous Japanese owner made a few good (and functional!) mods to my old standard front end (which I'm now selling, see http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=48729) After shaping the holes into the bumper he also fabricated a metal air scoop which sits behind the fascia. I never got round to relocating the numberplate and meshing the intake holes up, but if I had I reckon it would've made the front look pretty damn good IMO! Leigh.
  21. Happy Birthday from me and Lucie mate! Mind you, our card summed it up better ;) Sorry I couldn't answer the phone today, was up to my eyes in fibreglass  ;) Speak to you soon and see you Thursday Leigh. P.S. I hope you're coming out on the lash Friday night!
  22. Have to agree I'm afraid. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but that look really doesn't do it for me...a bit too OTT IMHO...;)
  23. Damn. Good point. [Ahem] BOOBS! KNICKERS! ARSE! ... ... ... Normal service has now resumed  ;)
  24. Lol! :D The truth is not quite so racy I'm afraid. It's outside this little church in the country where we'd like to (eventually!) tie the knot...Ahhhhhhhhh...;)
