Well, she's coming on slowly but surely: Managed to get a fair bit done on it today as had some free time and the weather was perfect (managed to burn my back though! Bugger! :D).

If you know where to look in Japan you can pick up an early, pre-facelift model for FOB £13,000. All being well I'm bringing one over for the folks later this year :)

Thought a few of them might like good looped on in-car displays! (probably what I'm going to do ;)) Still loving the Z32 vs Jet in Mad Max apocalyptic outback stylee. Might be wrong but I seem to remember seeing somewhere that it was actually directed by Ridley Scott!!

Thanks for the replies chaps. Definately going to plum for the D70S. Just routing around for the best deals. Suprisingly Jessops come out pretty well (they price match as well) but I'm considering buying the body only (found one for just under £400 delivered) and opting for a Nikon AF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G Dx VR Lens which would cover all the bases. If anyone knows anywhere that does good deals (also going for the Nikon SB-800 Speedlight and Sandisk 1GB Extreme III Compactflash Card) I'd be very interested to hear as I really need to get this as soon as possible. Rob: Bueno idea :) If the laptop comes back from the repairers in time I'll deffo be taking it! ;)

The VH is 4.5 litre. Whereas I've kept the stock bottom end, and gone for uprated cams and mild headwork John's gone for a 5mm overbore for 5.0l and uprated the internals. The stock VK is 5.6l. With turbo's...no idea! :D

No doubt inspired by the highly influential Japanese Tuning scene that seem to have embraced the 350z recently. Engine swaps seem to be very "in" at the moment, just have a look at the photos below (albeit those are from an American show! :D) It's the VK56DE from the Titan/Armada, the big brother of the VH that John and I are swapping into our Z's Built for drifting apparently rather than straight line drag, although I heard one company ran a 13.7 with this set-up. A bit of info (Google is my friend): The VK56DE is built in Decherd, TN. Bore is 98 mm and stroke is 92 mm. Output is 305 hp (227 kW) at 4900 RPM with 385 ft.lbf (522 Nm) of torque at 3600 RPM. Oh, and extra points for the first person to spot the "Top Gun" quote. Good for at least another 5bhp! :D [copied from my post Dec last year on zclub about this very subject]

Hate to p1ss on your bonfire mate but the paint ain't that secret. Steve at Bodywork Plus can get hold of and spray up both the chrome effect paint (three different effects) plus the fabric/rubber paint. Plus he's been in touch with a firm that makes a chrome paint even better than the one Alsa etc use. He'll be showcasing them all in his brand new, much bigger unit and on the forthcoming website. ;)
