  1. Picked up the pump, tank and pulley from PACE last week so everthing for the V8 is now here bar the manifolds which are being made up by Leon at Alunox as we speak. Things are finally coming together on the build which is good :) Bodywork is going very well, the front arches and bumper are finished, and the rear arches are on and shaped but we need to finalise the plans for the skirts (been through several changes...the Stillen Type III's are long gone...now going for totally custom on that front) and the rear bumper (again, it's been through some changes, but we may get a little more radical with it ;)). All in all, it's progressing nicely thanks mate! :)
  2. I'm not often moved to pass comment on other peoples Zeds since as long as they enjoy them it really doesn't matter what state they're in, however I have to say I think yours is one of the nicest "stock" looking cars on here Dave. Your attention to detail has made it really stand out. Not entirley sure I'd go for chromed OEM wheels, I'd probably go for a very subtle 16" (possibly 17") single or split rim (something Strosek-ish maybe?) that doesn't swamp the rest of the car but is in harmony with it but that's only my opinion! ;) Nice work :)
  3. I'd have coffee with the S15 but take the 350Z out for a meal and a show :D
  4. You'll probably be looking at getting a front clip from the States but if you want one from Japan I can organise/put you in touch with a very reputable importer of all JDM performance engines/front clips etc over there based in Saitama. My email is friday76@lycos.com Leigh
  5. Looks familiar ;) It's the right year (in the 90-93 bracket) but ridiculously high mileage. If you're going to do it, do it properly and get one in decent condition from a good source (I bring them in from a trusted guy in Japan).
  6. Wouldn't go for them at all. Every boy racer has them and tbh you hardly drive around with your door open do you so no bugger will see them half the time! If Santa was to give me a door conversion for free it would have to be Koenigssegg style. Everything else pales in comparison.
  7. It's not the size of the bells it's the length of the clapper that counts. (Must stop now! ;) )
  8. Those aren't bells it's just the way I'm sitting...(ok, shoot me now before it get's worse! Lol! ;))
  9. Lol! ... ... ... I have no idea what you could possibly be talking about. ... ... ... ;)
  10. It's a gift I tell thee...and generations of men have learnt to think quickly when confronted by an irate other half...you tend to evolve fast when faced with an incoming rolling pin... :D ;)
  11. I'm a good liar but not THAT good! Lol! :D ;)
  12. Never going to happen. ;)
  13. I'll show you mine if you show me yours. (sorry it's late! ) Ta very muchly! :) Fingers crossed it will anyway! ;)
  14. Thankfully, not because it's going t1t's up, quite the opposite luckily :D Decided to tweak the design a little the other day and while doing so I thought I'd augment the fibreglass with metal a) to give me a better idea of the lines, contours and general shape of the design, b) it gives me a good point of reference for the remaining fibreglass surface, i.e. the metal is curved and shaped exactly how I want it so all I have to do is bring the filler up to match it. The majority of the surface area between the main air dam and the sides (between the openings and the metal plates each side) is going to be removed for the fogs (about a 5-6" hole with a recessed edge so the plexi-glass covering can be bolted onto it and remain flush to the rest of the bumper.) I need a stock bumper sooner than expected as the project is (touch wood) going well and I will be grafting a copy taken from the plug onto it so I can retain all the original mounts (the one it's on now is very knackered and has several mounting points missing). Once that's done, it's tidied up and taken down to the moulders for the final item(s) to be made.
  15. My old front end, modified by a nice person in Japan: The previous Japanese owner put two holes in the front and inserted a metal air "scoop" which sat behind the fascia to funnel more air into the Zed's notoriously hot engine bay. I always intended to mesh the two intake holes which would've made it look quite good but never got round to it. My modified 99 spec (technically stock ;)): And there's an OEM bumper underneath here somewhere:  ;)
  16. I'd rather stir fry my own testicles than watch it. Emphatic enough?
  17. Agreed 100%. Although it's for Abflug which IMO can either be really good or really sh1te I was blown away by the Curve Z32 when I first saw their website: http://www.curve-ad.com/z32/
  18. I can appreciate the work that's gone into it but it's too over-styled for my tastes. :)
  19. And he really hates being stood up as well...:D
  20. All Hail Satan...pass the sacrificial goat and all that :D
  21. If you're planning on using the camcorder round the track you might have to hide it well as from what I've been told they don't allow unofficial filming round the 'Ring.
  22. Cheers :) For the dash I made a rough copy of the OEM one and then built up a wire armature over it to the shape I wanted. Then bits of fabric were stretched over the wire and soaked with activated resin to harden (using this fabric method creates good curves so everything flows nicely). After that, layers of fibreglass, then filler, all sanded back till smooth. How much fibreglass for the bumper? TBH, I'm not sure but, accounting for mistakes and design changes...a lot! :D
  23. Building a custom dash (old photo, must take more): Will accomodate two screens (one 14"/15" on the left and one 10" in the centre). Also making custom doorcards, sub enclosure etc to fit these KAR goodies:
