  1. Christ Dave! That's a crash and a half. :( Really glad you walked out of that one ok mate.
  2. I've got a complete high quality audio system up for grabs in the For Sale section if you're interested :) And trying to be unbiased, I definately agree with the good quality components over 6x9's comment though. A well set-up component+sub(s) combination will trounce 6x9's for SQ.
  3. Yepski. ;) As seen on a Z32 (the only one I'm aware of): And its origin: it's a limited edition Nissan 350Z colour (another reason why it appealed to me ie keeping everything "Nissan" from the V8 to the paint job...I've been intending to go for this colour since the beginning of the build...sometime back in the Stone Age! ;)), as seen here: And as for Matt Black, here's a couple of a Z done in it (think the owner's is/was on here. Hope he doesn't mind!), and one just for sh1ts and giggles...;) Both colours appeal to me in their own way tbh.
  4. Gorgeous. I'm torn between deep cherry purple or matt black for the V8 Z. It's being sprayed matt black by myself first anyway as I won't be able to afford the black cherry colour for a bit!
  5. Awww sh1t mate. She was a lovely motor. But i totally understand you've got to do what you've got to do. Hopefully it won't be the last time we speak...and i still want to hear how you're music progresses! :D ;) Leigh.
  6. Well, had a look at the Talk Talk package and, although it's definately good, the capped broadband did make me think twice (it is a big amount but, particularly as i download a lot of audio programs that have sample libraries that runs to the tens of Gigabytes...all freeware of course [ahem...] I thought that maybe unlimited would give me a bit more flexibility if i need it). So, I'm now on o2 for Broadband and back to BT for my landline calls. And boy do I feel happier already! Tiscali can shove their "service" up their a*se! :D ;)
  7. Happy Birthday Chris! :D :D :D
  8. Cheers neil, much appreciated. Just spoke to a very arsey woman at Tiscali, requesting my MAC code ready for the change over. Cretins. Definately going with o2 now. Decided to sign up for their 8Mb package after all, as aside from being overkill for my useage, I'll probably never see 16Mb through my line as it is now (just did a line check!). trouble is, I'm with Tiscali for my home phone as well so I need to find someone to take that up...not that I know anything about it but I'm half thinking about going back to BT...
  9. Seriously fecked off with Tiscali now. Aside from cr@p customer service in the past, my speed is now fluctuating between either being grindingly slow or, at very best, below average for my part of the world (3700kb/s for Warwickshire apparently...at best, Tiscali only manage about 2275kb/s and I don't see anything like that  ). So, I've been scouting around and came across o2's Premium package: up to 16Mb (distance dependant...probably nothing like that in reality  ), unlimited useage, free connection/wireless modem and only a 12 month contract all for £15 a month (less if I have a mobile contract with them...not sure if they do a landline package as I could do with switching that from Tiscali as well else it's back to BT...). Sounds like a damn good deal but does anyone have any experience of them? Are they as good as they sound, after reading a few reviews, on service and speed/reliability? I hate doing stuff like this as I'm such a Neo-Luddite :( Leigh.
  10. Think he advertised it to see if there was any interest over here but not sure he actually owned it? Seem to remember it was listed as still being in Japan? I'm probably wrong though ;) Might ask my mate Takehito if it's still available over there and if he's heard anything about it...(must...not...spend...money...I...don't...have...!)
  11. This any help? http://www.driftworks.com/forum/powervehicles/53128-super-rare-tommy-kaira-m30z-non-drift.html It's less than my standard (ish) Z was to import into the UK! Aaaaarrrgh....I want....
  12. Righty-ho ;) BTW Si, I'll be replying to your email tonight and including a small snippet you may find interesting pertaining to the above M30Z edition and a certain part you're lusting after... ;)
  13. As above, does anyone know if they did an NA version or was it just available in TT flavour? :) Cheers, Leigh. (Ooooh my first post of consequence back as a Subscribed Member... ;) )
  14. As above, today at 6:33pm via PayPal... ;)
  15. Oooooh....need someone to carry your bags and take good to average photographs of the event if you do Danny?? :D ;) BTW, sending you an email tonight chap (this is aside and seperate from the "official" thank you card that we're forcing on people now we're back to "normality" :D ;)). And as far as its looks are concerned...that car is stunning. And the interior rocks. And I have an Art Degree so I'm right and you're all wrong. :p   ;)
  16. Happy Birthday chap! :D
  17. Shame I didn't get to meet the famous Si afterall ;) Despite missing out on the Cricket the hot weather spurred my other half and I to spend the day out together instead. If you fancy another one another time, perhaps I can suggest The Boat in Catherine de Barnes? A nice country pub and the venue for all the old Midlands meets. Could even make it more of an official get-together...? Just a thought ;)
  18. Yeah, it's been a while Nick :) Reason I posted is that I was supposed to be in Nottingham this weekend but the plans, they are a'changin'. So, there's a chance I might be around come tomorrow (rather than at the cricket. Bah-humbug. ;)). I often go drinking at the Fieldhouse, just off the island in the centre of the Monkspath Estate as it's, again, just 5 mins from my house! I'll check back on this thread and see if there's anything afoot...and if I can make it I'll ACTUALLY be driving a Z rather than looking at one forlornly sitting in a corner with no engine...imagine that! :D
  19. I've driven both and, honestly, I wouldn't buy a TT again. Too much feckin' hassle. The NA we're driving (I say we as technically it's the missus' car) whilst performing the V8 swap (also an NA Nissan engine ;)) is an absolute joy to drive, an incredibly responsive engine that you can chuck about with abandon. People bang on about the "kick in the pants" you get from the turbos (no offence to those that have said that already! ;)) as if this is a good thing...it isn't. A big dollop of power but nothing in the lower ranges and very laggy when you're feathering it at full pelt against another car. I respect the TT but I sure as sh1t wouldn't buy one again. Performance aside, the cost when the turbos eventually go pop is ridiculous. I love our NA Z, so much so it's having the exact opposite done to what my other, more lairy project Z is: getting returned to "factory", "as new" condition, bar a few little touches such as the lightweight 18" Volks Racing alloys I have for it.
  20. Whereabouts is your girlfriend in Solihull as that's my hometown? I live just 5 minutes from the centre on the Streetsbrook Road.
  21. Thanks both :) Mr Bunny...back in your box... :p ;)
  22. Currently have a bit of a car storage problem and I'm looking for a good quality, outdoor temporary garage to keep one of our Z's in. I've found these two off the 'net but does anyone have anyother suggestions? Whatever I go for needs to be water-proof (or at least resistant) and big enough to work in if required. I'm guessing there are no legal problems about having one of these erected on your land...I think the chap across the driveway, who looks out onto our garage (outside which this would be put) might find it a bit of an eyesore...but then he's an absolute cnut so I'm not overly worried about hurting his feelings... ;) http://www.dancover.co.uk/Shelter%20Portable%20Garage%20366x600x244.htm http://www.hamiltonclassic.co.uk/acatalog/Autopod.html
  23. Dang my lack of edit...just seen your mobile number in your last email! Doh. ;)
  24. Alright chap, I've been trying to reply to your email but I keep getting Delivery Failures! If you can mail me a contact number that would be grand. Either way I'll be posting you the info today (Thursday). Leigh.
