  1. hi all, when my cars idling the drivers side exhaust note is real fluttery, kinda a flat note, but the other side is a nice deep note, as soon as you press the throttle it changes so there both the same note, this is starting to anoy me as when my turbo timer works and im walking away i can hear it very clearly, any thoughts as to what this could be or what i could adjust?????? 91 tt auto. straight through system (no cats) only back boxes. cheers Jim.
  2. I fitted mine just behind the drivers seat, about just below shoulder height, you can get a good fixing on the panel, and it's easy to reach. jim
  3. ive had a go in the XJR supercharged (straight 6, M reg) a few times now and it feels virtually the same even the kick down, and the punch in the back. I think ill have to wait for that special day to come when he decides he want's to try it against the zed. ill keep you all posted. JIM. :rolleyes:

  6. Yer mate youre right , it will pull away in second from a standing start. ady, my zed eat's any thing and everything on the road, never been beaten, so i would say that the 205gti was heavly modifyed. jim

  8. justin, about a year ago my boost gauge needle kept going into the middle of the gauge when on idle, i found out on mine anyway that it was the boost gauge vacume line, its on the drivers side right at the back left, where they usually put the alarm sirens, its on a T-piece. On mine it had gone real hard and split, I cut it down a few times but it kept splitting. after i got a new piece of rubber hose it has been fine since then. hope this helps a little Jim
  9. mine has a splash guard and it a jap, when i did my dump valves and filter, everything was standard down there (never been touched) jim

  13. hi lads, bought one of shrimpy last week, fitted it at weekend not really expecting anything to be different, but it is, the first thing i noticed was the revs don't drop when i switch my headlights on, the second is it really does feel ALOT stronger through the rev range, very notieable, and the third is my headlights really are alot brighter, I took a photo before and after. I was going to post something about this on here yesterday but did'nt have time last night. Jim
  14. we,ve got it pretty bad in east yorkshire, really icey and thick snow, went to work and back today in the zed 50 mile round trip throught own and country, what a laugh, i just could'nt stop doing huge powerslides round every corner! controled of course.
  15. hi every one does any one know what the diameter of the air flow meter is in inches, (just so i don't have to take it apart in the snow) theres a few on e-bay (red auto salon ones) with a 3'' diameter fitting, HKS style). has anyone seen these, are they any good for our cars? cheers Jim

  18. hi stuart, mine is the same mate, ive just replaced the t-rods, and had my front tyres swaped over (left to right) because they where wearing on the inside quite alot, i thought this was becuase of knackerd t-rods., so i changed them my car drives in a straight line now (maybe tyre wear) Jim
  19. hi mate, is it a jap import? if so you will need another c/l motor in the passenger side door and an alarm with a c/l output on it/ on the alarm there will be a wire for lock and a wire for unlock, these go to relays and then the door locking motor which pull and push on the rods, to open and close. any more help mate just ask! jim

  23. I ha dthis problem when my cer came in from jap land , with no locking nut key. hammered an old socket on to each one and off they came. jim
  24. craig david? proper bo! hi mate sorry but just had to.. the 1 is 1st gear and no more it's for towing and ripping your tyres to bit's 2 is the car will set of in 1st then change to second and no more, agian, good fun! the hold button is really for ice and rain driving, the box won't shift down to 1st when stopped, when you press the accelerator you'll set of in second, good for low down exhaust note and using dump valves in an auto. the power is for keeping the car in gear alot longer and right up to the red line without shifting up. when your driving normal, bang your foot to the floor and the power light should come on and down shift fast!!!!! and it turns the air con off for more power. hope this helps a little mate JIM.
  25. hi mate, give houghton insurance a try for a twin turbo, they do special 300zx club members discounts now, mine was 300 cheaper this year than any other, and thats with mods declared. (import) try a search under insurance, i posted the number for someone on there a few weeks ago. jim.
