Cutting Standard Rear Spoiler
There was a standard spoiler which looked like an OEM with the edges cut of and a high level mounted over the top. Shahid has one on his car and I believe Goit has just bought one

Houghtons Insurance - Whoa!
Neil, I am always good natured. The point of the above quiz was to highlight what, to me, is the flaw in your argument. No one is disagreeing with you that the 300zx should be more expensive. But the point we are, good naturedly, trying to make is that the policy offered by Houghtons is biased towards the 300. So despite all opinions to the contrary, they will offere a cheaper quote on 300s. It is like complaining because a part built specifically for the 300 wont fit your car, of course it wont, its not for your car. It really isd a no-brainer, and for you to argue the point is well........pointless. In a good natured stylee

Houghtons Insurance - Whoa!
Except when offered under a discount scheme for nissan 300zx's. Here is a simple quiz to help you understand: I own a 200sx and want to insure it. Should I? a) LOOK FOR A SPECIFIC POLICY OFFERED TO 200SX OWNERS or

Not exactly a "was it you question?"

Houghtons Insurance - Whoa!
its not about what's worth more, its about the service being offered to 300zx owners. So it should come as no surprise that, as you are not a 300zx owner, that you dont get offered the same service. Simple really.

Houghtons Insurance - Whoa!
Bottom line is, its a Nissan 300 club, and they are offering discounts for nissan 300 owners. Are you really that surprised?? Life must be very difficult for you, if you are.

PCVs this ones a bit odd
I spoke with peterR about this at billing, as I couldnt see any reason why you couldnt vent the PCV to air rather than chuck it back into the combustion chamber. IIRC he was of the opinion that you could sdo so, as long as you maintain part of the vaccum, so It may be that whilst part of the system is venting to air, if you have maintained the required vacumm in the othe rpart , it will run fine. As always stand to be corrected.

HELP! De-cat advice please!
The smoke could be PCV's or piston rings. The only issue that decatting is known to cause is the turbo oil seals, which isnt so much a reliability issue as a pain in the ass, it appears its not so much a case of if, but when they will let go. I would imagine that the free flowing exhaust will cause a drop in back pressure anyway, so the effect of de-catting on top may well be minimal. As always I stand to be corrected.

J Spec headlight bulbs
the wire shown in the photograph is an earth, it goes from one of the small screws that hold the wire springclip in and you put a spade on the other end which goes to the wiring loom for the lamp. The reason for it is because the jap spec has an earth built in whereas the H3 doesnt. HTH
