For now use some chemical metal, drain fluids first, then when you get the chance off with the plenum and get it replaced

The other end goes to the matrix through the bulkhead, probably have a split or pinholes in the pipe, best to replace the pipe and new clips. It is a pain where it is but its doable, without losing too much skin lol

Idle air control vavle then, also the ficd (fast idle control device) next to it.

Having the car on consult will help see if the timing changes when placed into gear, ie 15deg at idle in neutral and when placed into gear 20deg. If you are not seeing this then you might have an issue with the pin44 neutral switch. Does the car also try to stall from cold when put into gear?

The worm screw has probably disintegrated or snapped as its only plastic but is a common problem. There are some write ups in the faq tech section to replace or refurbish the adjuster.

It will only autosave whilst the browser is open, its not autosave as in will save to a file somewhere, its to stop you losing a long thread through inactivity.

When i did cyl 3 i used a dremel to get to it in situe, may do the same with cyl 1, little easier to get too.

Ticking means nothing lol, you could be getting a ticking noise from the other injectors through the fuel rail. Check the ohms between 10-14 ohms, even then no guarantee its not the injector as mine reads within spec, but im going to change it as ive checked everything else except the signal at the ecu.

If the ecu isnt receiving the signal from the box, could be the cause. You say you checked everything electrical on the box ecu, you need to see if the main ecu sees the change in deg from the neutral switch then placed into drive.

Mines missing on cyl 1, injector is the likely cause.

Your ecu in neutral at idle is 15deg and when in gear should raise to 20deg. If its not receiving a signal then check pin 44 on the ecu which is the neutral switch feed.

Im pretty sure the air boxes are the same the only difference is the recirc valves on the TT which are further down the pipework.

If you are after the air filter filament then both are the same size and design.
